National Enquirer Blind Item

WHICH Grammy-winning singer is battling a serious MRSA infection due to his numerous plastic surgery procedures?

The entertainer’s botched face has been the talk of Hollywood and Las Vegas for years, but now his thin frame and freaky features have people whispering louder than ever!

  2. Wayne Newton or Barry Manilow

  3. Gotta be Kenny Rogers, no?

  4. Barry Mannilow was my first thought.

  5. Okay. Just used that handy newfangled thing called "google", and Wayne never won a Grammy.

But Barry did -- for "Copacabana." And rightly so, IMO. *sniffs*

Or it could ALSO be Tom Jones. Or Kenny Rogers. Both are looking Asian lately, and not in a hot way.

  6. Barry Manilow. Waynew Newton isn't all that thin...

Do you really think Kenny Rogers' face is totally botched? He's not nearly as bad as Manilow/Newton I don't think.

  7. I think the general public would notice a person with that kind of infection walking around. I'm not too sure what kind of make-up could cover that up. Google it. It's gross.

  8. i def think wayne newton...

  9. Definitely Barry Manilow - I saw him on TV recently, and he looks nothing like his old self. And is very thin.

  10. Throwing another name out there, Smokey Robinson.

  11. MRSA isn't anything to mess with, yikes! I don't think Wayne or Kenny are thin, so that leaves Barry.

  12. Is Smokey Robinson in Vegas? I'm going with Barry Manilow.

  13. I'm going with Kenny Rogers. I do think he looks botched.

Barry. I don't think Wayne has won a Grammy. What others sayin' about the thin/disease correlation also eliminates Wayne and Kenny sounds about right.

  15. I'm sticking with my Barry Manilow guess. You couldn't call Kenny Rogers skinny. Barry has always been thin, but now he looks seriously skinny. Plus in photos he's just so pulled back. But I still love him.

Oh Barry, you nipped and you ticked beyond reason, now you look like a possum, Oh Barry!

Thank you. I'll be here all week. And try the pasta salad--delicious!

  19. MRSA is no joke. Yikes.

  20. Poor dude. I didn't even know what MRSA was until now. Ohhh, I guess that's what people mean when they say "staph infection". Yikes, scary.

  21. I read a long time ago (10+ years ago) that Kenny Rogers has to shave behind his ears because of all the facelifting. In other words, he has beard-growing sections of his face pulled behind his ears. WOOOOO

  22. Layna Day well done! I will be humming that for the rest of the day!

  23. First thought was Tom Jones but he's on tour in Europe. My guess would be Barry Manilow...

  24. If Michael Jackson weren't dead - he'd be the first guess.

  25. Agree with Barry Manilow. Ida, I have sung Copacabana in my hotel room at Copacabana to my husband.

MRSA is scary. I have a sore throat at the moment which I have had for a week (don't know what has caused it), it is so sore that my body won't even swallow in my sleep, so I am drool woman at the moment. When they actually come out with that anti-viral wonder drug they are working on, I want the scientists to be given a parade.

  26. Manilow's the only SKINNY candidate. Poor Barry. I have been assuming his weight was going down from HIV drugs (it happened to my friends). MRSA is about as bad a prognosis as HIV, though. He has to gain weight to be able to fight it. Poor guy.

    ----thin frame and freaky features---

    Has to be Mannilow.

  28. God help whoever it is. My dad died of MRSA after successful heart surgery.

  29. Whoa...... Manilow is HIV positive??? No way....

  30. I work in a hospital and MRSA scares the living hell out of me.

  31. Kenny Rogers has gotten a lot skinnier in the last year or so.

  32. Kenny Rogers looks nothing like he used to. Kenny ftw

  33. I never cared for Barry Manilow and always thought him a real uber-dork (we always referred to him as "Barely Man-Enough") but I saw on recently on a ep of Graham Norton and he was very charming. But he looks nothing like he used to. And yes, MRSA is not something to fuck around with.

  34. I know it's Manilow. So sad, but he's really botched his face several times. Rogers, only once.

I love Manilow, but he should have aged gracefully, gay or not.

  35. I DO NOT GET MEN WHO HAVE EXTENSIVE SURGERY~

As I'm running possible candidates for this blind item throughout my head, all I see are VERY OBVIOUS men who are all oddly tanned year around, have very noticable make up/foundation on, are stretched to the point of shininess, etc.

Some women can pull off the facial plastic surgery but I cant think of one man whose gotten away with it. My personal opionion is that older men usually LOOK like aging men are supposed to, if this makes sense, as in NOT tanned, plucked, makeuped, shiny. When I see a performer with a dye job (which always seems to go hand in hand with the plastic face), and has his face pulled back so far he has no lines of character to be found anywhere, well, I just can tell and frankly to me it makes them less of a man.
    *hoping this doesnt sound sexist

  36. Oh hell, whomever it is, God love them.

  37. @Jamie's Girl -- "I love Manilow, but he should have aged gracefully, gay or not."

How does a person's sexuality determine how s/he approaches aging?

    I am perplexed.
