Jessica Simpson Fan Scares Me

I love a good stalker story. Most of the time they are harmless so not really worthy to write about, but every so often one comes along which just really makes you think something bad could happen to the celebrity. Marce William Burchell is not just a fan of Jessica Simpson. Nope. He is such a fan that he wrote a book about her and their affair. Oh, the one thing is that he has never actually met Jessica. Oh sure, he has sent puppies to her house and made lots of phone calls and sent texts to her, but never actually met her. So, it is surprising that he is selling a book on Amazon about how for almost two years Jessica tried to seduce the author and also discusses her sex life. He is also quite the fast paced author because his book comes in at just 30 pages. Not too much seducing or sex. I have seen Forum articles that were almost that long.

The title and the summary are almost as long as the book itself. I wonder if Jessica will buy a copy. I bet her attorneys did.

  1. How did he come about in publishing the book?

  2. The little tiny print says something about being a prerelease summary of the actual book, so the real thing is probably more than 30 pages.

  3. The sentence fragment "Her Very Active And Super Secret Sex Life" is killing me, so funny. I'm going to start referring to things as Super Secret now.

    Sylvia, pretty sure it's self-published.

  4. Creepy. If it was only the book, no big deal. It's fiction, Fantasy even.

But the stalking, the sending puppies and everything else, cumulative with the book: That's just sick. No wonder stars become aggressive towards fans and would rather not be approached by strangers.

  5. I actually think this is a very scary situation. I would be completely freaked out for Jessica. This guy seriously needs to get a life based in reality. eeeek!

  6. That is *THE* ugliest book cover I have EVER seen.

Definitely self-published. No editor/publisher would let something that hideous go to press.

  7. It is doubtful he got permission or paid a license fee for the photo he used, so he can also expect to hear from the photographer's lawyer too.

  8. What Publisher published this book? It can't be a reputable company.

  9. I think it is self-published, and he is selling it on amazon.com. Interesting customer reviews.

  10. Under Editorial Reviews/Product Description it states that the book is also being sold on Ebay.

  11. Obviously the guy doesn't know how to use grammar/spellcheck in Word.

  13. He...sent puppies to her house? o_o

  14. Did she keep the puppies? What happened to the puppies?

  15. The Amazon reviews are good for a giggle at the expense of the "author". Hopefully Amazon will pull the plug on this crap. Criminals shouldn't benefit from their crimes and neither should whack-o stalkers from their obsessions.

  16. OMG, I just checked it out on Amazon. If you buy it, you can rest assured that your money is going to a good (and totally rational, legit cause):

"All proceeds will be donated to BPG Inc. to finance the first affordable electric car that will sell for less than a similar gasoline powered car at $10,000 ( after tax rebate). This electric car is designed to make all gasoline powered cars obsolete, can carry seven passengers and cargo, has a top speed of 180 mph, can go 300 miles per charge and accelerates from 0-60 mph in less than 4 seconds. These funds will put many Americans back to work on this laudible project to make America free from ever higher rising gasoline prices, and will make our land cleaner and freer for all."

  17. Enty--I love ya but I have to disagree with you on the fact that most of the time stalkers are harmless. In fact, most of the time, they are dealing with a severe mental illness and it can be scary for everyone involved.

    That is all.

  18. Amen AK!
Stalkers are SCARY! My husband is being stalked now by a former student, and he had to get a restraining order. I was stalked by someone and they are not harmless. They are generally very disturbed.

  19. An *entertainment* lawyer who thinks that stalkers are harmless? WTF?

  20. Most fanfic authors aren't dangerous - but this one is actually stupid, too.
