No One Takes The Kardashians Seriously

Yesterday, a pair of news anchors interviewed Kim and Kourtney Kardashian. First of all, why are you doing that? You are a news program so what possible kind of news do these two generate? Anyway, they were interviewed and they blathered on for a few minutes and when it was over, the news anchors thought everything was off and started making fun of the Kardashians. It is hilarious, but it also makes you think about the fact that instead of making fun of them perhaps they should not have put them on the air in the first place. If they don't get air time then they slowly leave. Never to return. Another question I have is are the 1M people who have viewed this video so far, happy the Kardashians were mocked? I hope so. I hate to think they are all fans.

  1. I watched it and yes it was because they were mocked - though not nearly enough.

  2. this is when i'm so proud to be from just outside philly.

the kardashians are just so vapid. i can't wait until their fame runs out. i don't necessary hate them the way some people do, i just don't care about them.

  3. I understand that there are various reasons why so many people hate these women, but I still find that anchorman's behavior remarkably graceless and unprofessional. This is a local news outlet -- not Weekend Update.

They were asked to participate in an interview, and they complied. I can understand dissing them if they pulled a Paris and walked out in the middle of it, but that wasn't the case.

  4. I really get upset thinking how much money these bimbos are making...

  5. So tired of the Kardashians. The quick glimpse I got of their clothing line looked cheap to me - I don't mean cheap as in hooker-ish but cheap as in cheaply made. I leave it to the rest of you as to whether they look hooker-ish or not.

  6. "If they don't get air time then they slowly leave. Never to return"

You do see the irony in this statement don't you Enty?

  7. This cracked me up. Even if it were unprofessional, he did what many people want to do. I love this man.

  8. I just think its gotten to the point that so many people are fed up with them. And the worst part is, 95% of the 'media' encourages them because they have to. If that continues we'll never get rid of this family. I'm sure Mike will be embarassed that the video went so viral but he's only saying what most people are thinking. Its about time someone did.

  9. I saw this live. They didn't think the cameras were off, he was just checking that the live feed to the sisters was off. This is the same Mike from Spaghetti Cat/Talk Soup fame. He's a really good tv personality.

  10. I sense a disciplinary action in their future. Agree, funny but unprofessional.

  11. I thought it was pretty funny. It may have been somewhat unprofessional, but I've seen worse from local anchors.

  12. Glad someone else is not taking that family seriously. Although the anchor was being snotty, he is right: their voices and tones are just plain annoying!

  13. Unprofessional? Yes. Funny? Also yes!

We can discuss the reason for their fame or what they have done to stay relevant until we're blue in the face, but the fact remains; they sound unbelievably vapid when they talk! That deserves to be made fun of! AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE!!! *L*

  14. Watched this yesterday and thought it was hilarious. I honestly doubt the Kardashians care, as they count their cash. It's gotten to where I can barely stand going over to the E! website - every second article is Kardashian related. SO ANNOYING.

  15. Agree with Ida and a few others that said this was unprofessional but I love it when someone finally stands up and says enough, it was like this on "Morning Joe"...

  18. This got the anchors and the station so much press, I can't believe they'd get much beyond a Lou Grant-ish eye rolling from their station manager.

Also -- it's not the anchors' decision about doing a Kardashian story; their producer agreed to it and instructed them to do it. That's the way it goes.

I just can't stand the girls' whiny nasal phony voices, btw; that's what really bugs me about them. That and the gi-normous handbags.

  19. Also -- these two are a breath of fresh air, they're so funny. We could use them in the NY market. Betcha now their producer will hook them up with every phony celeb who rolls through their satellite feed just to get their snark on.

  20. I'm guessing the anchorman wasn't at all interested in giving the sisters any air time but the station made them do it. So they vented their frustration at the end. I bet they won't be asked to interview them again!

  21. Go Philly! He is funny. And I'm glad he got to show how we all feel about them. I mean, if this is how they want to make their living, they're gonna half to accept the criticism.

    And GO PHILLIES!

    Thank you.

  22. I love Mike and Sheinelle. They are my morning crew and while there is serious news, it's pretty laid back.

Mike Jerrick is known for things like this. He was in NY for a while but I'm glad he's back in Philly.

He's fun to follow on Twitter too.

    Go Phillies and Go Eagles!

  23. Spaghetti Cat!! I forgot about that!

I think I watched this 3 times yesterday. I don't hate the Karda$hians as much as others, but they are vapid and they do talk. really. ridiculously. stupid. nasaly. and SLLOOOOW.

  24. yeah Philly representing on CDAN! I love it - Um Go Phillies! Go Eagles! and soon FLYERS! Best time of year. I just moved to the delaware beaches but was from West Chester PA.

As others have said - this is Mike and this is a news program but very relaxed -I love them and miss seeiing them every morning - news is rough enough it's nice to have a few laughs in the A.M. and as for Professional?? Are Kathy lee and Hoda professional? and those two are nationally syndicated AND part of the Today show.LOL

Oh and I only watched it because it made fun of the Kardashians and well it's Philly stuff.

  26. i'm guessing the guy was thinking, "this is my hard hitting news anchor gig? oh hell no". normally i would be bothered. but because he mocked their voices (which drive me up the wall) i'm going to allow it.
