Sam Poueu Slipped Off A Fire Escape

Last week, all anyone knew was that former Biggest Loser contestant, Sam Poueu, was in critical condition after a fall. Now, we know how he came to fall. Apparently he was at a party and went to the roof of a building. The door locked behind him so he decided to use the fire escape to get down. At one point he attempted to drop down on to a balcony from the fire escape and slipped. He fell four stories to the ground. He suffered internal injuries and trauma to the right side of his head. Sam was actually working as a trainer at the Biggest Loser resort and had been on vacation in San Francisco when it happened.

  2. I'm with you equinox, something doesn't seem right. I just hope he wasn't under the influence.

I really liked Sam when he was on the Biggest Loser and I hope he makes a full recovery and is able to get married as planned.

  3. Oh shit. I dunno, this story sounds believable to me. He probably was a bit under the influence of alcohol--we all know how stupid things can sound like good ideas when sipping the sweet nectar. Poor guy, hope he recovers completely and soon!

Hey, I could be stone cold sober and trip over a molecule of air. Slipping on a fire escape sounds plausible to me.

I believe it too. Sounds like something dumb I'd do too, tipsy or not.

  6. Unfotunately, people don't recover from head injuries. Especially TBIs (Traumatic Brain Injuries) caused by landing on one's head after a four story fall. Hopefully the Biggest Loser employers will have compassion and rehire him after he completes neurotherpay and adjusts to his new personality. He was such a gentle man with a big heart; it saddens me to think of the rage and frustration he'll now be experiencing daily just trying to tie his own shoes. Life is so unfair.
