Bethenny Frankel's Lost At Sea Story A Fake

As I think we all suspected when we first heard Bethenny Frankel tell the world she was lost at sea for 21 hours and never thought she would get home alive to see her baby, but just happened to have a Bravo film crew with her, this was all a set up. And it is disgusting. Seriously. The woman went on Ellen and cried and said she feared for her life and blah blah blah and it turns out not one bit of it was true.

The man who supposedly "rescued" her was interviewed by JewishJournal.com They have a celebrity section?

He basically says there was nothing wrong with the boat, the GPS was fine, the boat did not need to be towed and the Coast Guard did respond, BUT only because someone asked them to and when they got there, they advised that the boat be towed in since it was not an emergency. The boat did not even need a tow though. Oh, and the part about Bethenny giving the guy a $2800 tip for saving her? Nope. Never happened. What did happen though was after the Bravo crew got set up on shore, Bethenny got out of the boat and kissed the ground.

  2. i get creating storylines to make a lame reality show interesting.

But when you call in emergency services to beef up your drama then you have really crossed a moral line. A line Bethany clearly could care less about.

What if a boat was truly in distress and the coast guard was busy getting caught up in Bravo's nonesense show.

  3. I used to like her. Most important phrase in that sentence: "used to."

  4. The Coast Guard should bill her for time wasted.

  5. Not only is this broad FUG as hell, she takes famewhoring to a whole new level, ala that Salahi trick.

  6. I cant even LOOK at her face- I have never in my life seen such a face racked with eating disorder. Her jaw alone should be the poster child for bulimia. I know I should feel sorry for a woman who clearly starves and purges herself BUT her grisled, stringy, overly tanned ass is on tv and in the media and frankly we really dont need anymore thin women helping to promote a thin=beauty=love culture.

I say the sooner she has no media following her the better.

Oh and I also second having them pay for the Coast Guard. Thats the most infuriating part. Do 'celebs' forget that real emergencies actually occur to people? I swear their all such morons.

  8. I saw the Ellen segment and it seemed like even she was calling BS on the story. I thought it was odd because I heard Ellen was giving her a show.

  9. got to agree with timebob. as soon as emergency services are involved, that crosses the line. hope they send a bill for that.

  11. Agree with everyone about emergency services -- she's lucky her stunt didn't cost anyone their life.

And now that I have a kid, her sobbing about never getting to see her baby again? NO. Just no.

  13. Isn't getting federal officals involved in a hoax against the law? Isn't that why balloon boy's dad went to jail? Why wasn't she fined or arrested? It sounds like Bravo cleared it with someone at the Coast Guard before it happended, and this guy is just refusing to go along with the prearranged hoax.

  14. what a money grubbing attention whore. you would think when someone has a kid their priorities change but not this one. poor kid to have her as a mom.

  16. Very lame, Bethenny. I think she is hilarious. She doesn't need to make up story lines.

  17. tick...tick...tick...DING!!!

Step aside miss, your 15 minutes are DONE!

(and yeah, please charge her for the cost of the "rescue")

  18. I like her. I like her show. I think she's funny as hell. Her husband is a sweetheart. Her baby is a doll.

BUT, as a fan I am very disappointed that she, the producers, Bravo TV, who or whatever would stoop so low. There's enough made-up fakey crap on reality shows. This crosses the line.

  19. Such hateful broads, you should be ashamed! I like her. I think she's charming and I don't give a fuck if she lied about anything she's done because it's entertainment, baby! She's not a friend who lied to me.
