Apparently Johnny Depp has a sense of humor and is willing to admit that sometimes even his movies suck. That does not mean though that he is willing to let Ricky Gervais get away with mocking The Tourist at the Golden Globes.
I still love Johnny. I know he's not perfect but he's always been close too it for me.
A lot of people been jumping on the "Johnny's no longer cool" band wagon lately but he's still cool, some people just want to say he's over. He's not & I love how he takes care of his family, "out of the limelight."
I still like both of them, so I thought this was great! Still, complaints about Johnny's range (or lack of) are right-on. He seems to be permanently stuck in Hunter S. Thompson mimicking.
@shiny -- ah, yes. I forgot about Hunter S. Thompson. We can add that one to his limited repertoire.
@Jeri -- Not all of us choose our celebrity pantheon based on bandwagons, doll. I like PLENTY of well-hated famous people (Katy Perry, for one). It's cool if you still dig Johnny, but I think my own personal reasons for being tired of him are legit.
Also, his last Vanity Fair article didn't exactly endear me to him. I think his apology was sincere, but GOD did he come across as a douche! Offhand rape comparison notwithstanding, his flippant comments about all the "silly" money he makes were super insensitive.
@Rita - yes, Johnny has tiny hands. I found out when I went to the Hard Rock Cafe in Vegas and saw his hand print on the wall and compared it to mine. Now I don't have big man hands at all, but my hand dwarfed his. It was devastating, LOL.
DITTO to what Monica Said : Johnny Depp can do no wrong in my book. Our generation's most-- MOST talented actor, Bar None ! PS Even though the Tourist did suck. I blame Angelina Jolie for that. LOL

Basically Extras de-dux. I found it funny, very dry Brit humour, even though Gervais usually does my loaf in. Will still watch though.
