A Real Life Slumdog Millionaire

It happened. Real life actually copied a movie. Sushil Kumar, who makes $120 a month in his job as a government clerk in India, became the first person in this history of India's Who Wants To Be A Millionaire to win $1M. Yes, you read that right. The guy makes $120 a month. This is a great story. Oh, and you would think a guy who makes $120 a month would just quit because with interest alone he would make a minimum of like $4K a month with his check. Nope. The guy wants to take a class so he can get a better government job. He also is going to give his brothers money to start their own businesses, pay of his family's debts and buy his wife a house. The show airs next week in India.

  1. Lovely news.

Better than any Lohan Jailbird Tidbit.

Keeping up with the same thought about the Kardashians, am very sure Mr. Kumar would now be able to afford a few TP rolls from their new line, and wipe his wonderful Indian ass with Krass. Did I mean Klass? Not on your life.

Kongrats Mr. Kumar! Love the way he's thinking of his family first, as well as expanding his own future. Nowadays, $1M does not last that long if you don't appreciate it accordingly. Just ask any Lohan.

  2. You know, looking at the picture again, the game show host looks like an Indian Al Pacino! Am I hallucinating?

  7. I hope the people from the show didn't torture him for being a 'slumdog' (which he is not if he's employed)with no education yet knowing the answers! Good for him. Love good news like this.

  10. I think the host is Ron Silver reincarnated.
(And I think it's via plastic surgery, not nature.)

  12. The next time Lindsay Lohan gets arrested, she should have to live for a year with someone like this so she learns the value of work and money.

  15. Nope. It's definitely Al Pacino with a beard and glasses. I´m pretty sure Pacino invented this grandfather of bollywood just as a prank.
