Roseanne Pays $40K To Ex

A judge has ordered that Roseanne needs to pay about half the attorneys fees her ex husband, Ben Thomas incurred when fighting his custody battle with Roseanne. Roseanne had tried to get full custody of their son when she moved to Hawaii and because Roseanne still makes over $200K a month and her ex makes about $7500, she was ordered to pay half his attorneys fees of $70K. According to Radar, Roseanne was ticked off that their dirty laundry was aired in public. According to agreements her ex signed, he was supposed to do this kind of thing privately. My guess is he did, but Roseanne ignored him so he went public.

  1. hawaii isn't exactly the easiest place to fly to. If she agreed to pay for his and his wife's flight to see his son in the custody arrangement. She should of honored it. You can't decided well after the fact you don't feel like footing the bill.

You married him when he was your bodyguard, he wasn't exactly going to be making matching income, ever.

  4. The judge's decision sounds reasonable. She seems like the difficult type so her ex probably did what he had to do. I think she needs to give up on the marriage thing anyway.

  6. ^Right!?! Me too!! :)

I don't know enough about what went down in the divorce, but on some other sites they seem to side with Roseanne b/c they had come to an agreement & then he later backed out on the amount.

  7. Moosh: I have to disagree with you. FIrst of all, in LA,$7500 a month doesn't go very far. Second, as a divorced parent that was once on the poor end of the see-saw, it sucks to not be able to match Disneyland Parent. Yeah, kid, go to mom's estate in Hawaii, have servants wait on you, get chauffeured around everywhere, get every present you want, and then come back to your dad's dingy two bedroom apartment in an ok neighborhood in LA. Try to compete in that scenario! And then---if you owe $70k to your attorneys on an income of 90k a year, yeah, I'd be asking for attorney's fees--and more.

  9. IS Roseanne very difficult? I'd be interested in hearing any first- or second-hand stories that anyone has about her.
