Cameron Douglas Gets Another 4 1/2 Years In Prison

Cameron Douglas better get used to seeing his jail cell for a long time. A judge today sentenced him to 4 1/2 years in prison which is added on to the 5 years in jail he is already serving. Federal prosecutors had only asked for 2 years but the judge said that Cameron had blown the biggest opportunity of his life and sentenced him to a whole lot of prison. Think about this for a second. Redmond O' Neal was basically charged with the same crime in California and got nothing. Cameron got 4 1/2 years in prison. I guess the lesson here is if you are going to commit a drug crime or any other crime, go state and not federal.

  1. "Go State, NOT Federal" should also be the Lohan motto.

  4. There is a small part of me that feels sorry for Cameron. No viable parents- Dad off doing his thang and Mom being self absorbed and worried about Dad...he was busted behind a Carpinteria (small town south of Santa Barbara/Montecito) in a car with a needle hanging out of his arm....
Where he is now- is where he deserves to be- hopefully he will invest in his own being and come out the other side appreciating what he has, not being pissed at how much he has shitted away while trying to piss his parents off.
GOOD LUCK CAMERON- I truly wish you well.

  10. Timeless...that is what 9.5 years sitting in a Fed prison cell is going to feel like.

  11. What does that tat say? I can never read that font type. I hate when I catch myself staring at someone's tat because I'm trying to figure out wtf it says.

  12. ^.robert said it: Timeless.

  13. I seriously thought that was Rachel Dratch making fun of someone when I could just see the face.

Also, tighty whities hanging out of jeans is not sexy.

I hope he is able to rehab while inside and come out sober and ready to contribute to life.

  14. Damn, I wish Lohan had committed a Federal crime.

  15. Heroin. It's a hell of a drug.

  16. Just for my information what are the Federal parole guidelines (i.e. have to serve 2/3rds of sentance or something like that)?

  17. The judge also included a two-year ban on family visits! I have never heard of anything like that. I wonder if that can be appealed.

  18. I think this is excessive. Drug addicts need help, and shouldn't be put in with violent offenders. Rapists get a couple years. Murderers get less time than this. Unreal.

  19. if all the people in prison for drugs were let out, the overcrowding problem would disappear overnight.

but we don't 'do' treatment in this country. instead we fight the 'war on drugs'. it's a miserable failure because it doesn't address the demand side of the drug problem AT ALL.

  20. Damn .. he is a rather rough looking young man. I hope his time in prison will be well used and he will come out better and more mature.

Now .. who wants to teach LiLo about Federal crimes??

  21. Yes, the drug sentences are way out of whack, much too high in most cases.

But that tat on the other hand is hands down the DOUCHIEST tattoo I have ever seen, and that includes the lovely entrants on Fail.com. He should get a few years for the tat alone.

  23. Redmond was just a run of the mill junkie. Cameron was a full fledged drug dealer. Huge difference in my book. So when he was busted with smugging drugs in jail. He could of been doing it for profit or other nefarious reasons.

He had every opportunity in life to make something of himself just as his father did. He chose his road and he can stew in it.

Kinda gives new meaning to Michael's role in Traffic now.

  24. Robbing a bank is always federal, right? Too bad, otherwise I'd head out to Cali and knock a couple over - it'd be worth a couple of weeks in jail, tops.

  26. At least someone is trying to keep scum like this off the streets. Could we please have something to holiday snark on? Please??

  27. I'm not even going to weigh in on addicts and dealers and jail time and whatnot. I haven't had enough coffee yet. ;-)

The one I really feel sorry for is Diandra. He's her only child, is he not? Of course, I suppose one might argue that her parenting and that of Michael COULD be part of his problems, but I think it's fairly clear that his genetics from Michael don't help, either. Sad all the way around. :-(

  28. Diandra has a 3 yr old adopted daughter, and twins boys Hudson & Hawk that are 7 I think- born via a surrogate.

Google a recent HARPERS BAZAR- I think it was published in March- it goes into why she sued Michael for the Wall Street 2 $$$$ and how they really have ZERO relationship- and she comes across as mostly normal but very skewed on her never to end relationship with MD.
    She has never met CZJ!
