Last night Kate Middleton and Prince William went to a Gary Barlow concert. While photographers snapped away, Kate Middleton kept her clutch pressed against her stomach the entire time which of course is code for I am pregnant. If you are Nicole Kidman or Jennifer Aniston it is code for, "I want to be on a tabloid cover this week." Seriously. Watch one of them do it and watch how fast they get on a cover or at least some nice big headlines for the a couple of days.
Because Kate also wore a dress that did not cling to every inch of her body, it also suggests that she is pregnant because it kind of looks like she is. Who knows? I do know that it looks like Prince William is using Rogaine or something because his bald spot seems to be shrinking.
I was actually thinking, before I even saw this article, that she didn't look as frail in these photos. She may be pregnant. No big shocker. Most people who marry usually try to have kids.
ReplyDeleteI really wouldn't be surprised if she were pregnant. They knew going into this that the moment they got married, there would be relentless pregnancy speculation until she pops out an heir. Seeing as though they were together for so long before getting married, if I were her, I would have waited to get married until I was ready to have a baby.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, maybe Enty isn't a woman. I'm always conscious about my stomach so I often carry my wallet or keep my hands in front of my stomach. I'm sure a lot of the other women here do that too.
ReplyDeleteI'd imagine she will get pregnant quite soon. There's immense pressure to produce an heir, and they spent many years living together as a couple pre-marriage, that they don't need that adjustment time. I'm sure they only decided to get married now because they are ready to start a family.
ReplyDeleteMy highlight was the dress she wore. It's an off-the-rack dress from Zara. British celebs are so much more awesome for wearing high street clothes, as well as designer stuff.
I wonder if she got checked for fertility before getting married, the way Diana was rumored to have been required to do?

ReplyDeleteBy any line of reasoning, she's going to be pregnant soon anyway.
I believe they're trying to have as much a private life as possible given their circumstances, so *if* she's pregnant, I personally believe they're going to wait until she's at least into the second trimester to make any announcement.
Hell, from what I remember of Diana's pregnancy, it was conjectured that she got pregnant on their honeymoon.
And again, *if* they're pregnant, my heartiest congratulations to them.
May they only know continued happiness.

ReplyDeleteI love this couple. I would also suspect that after all the years of being together they may just think it's time. If they do it's a private decision. Sheesh can you imagine the pressure on those two? Hope she has twins!

Figgy - According to a now-deceased relation of mine by marriage, Diana's health really was thoroughly checked prior to her marriage. This person insisted that some of the tests were run at the U of Minn. hospital here in the US, where this person would've been in a position to know. Supposedly, the Queen wanted genetic tests run to find out if Diana may have had anything that could be be passed to future offspring. In particular, they were concerned about hemophilia and porphyria, since those diseases have shown up in the royal family in the past.

ReplyDeletei think she was pregnant when that whole peanut thing went down. should be due in july. there was an article on yahoo when these 2 got married saying basically every royalbride was expected to produce an heir w/i a year. william was born 11 months after his parents marriage.
ReplyDelete@squeezebox, I am sure that is true about Diana. Why shouldn't they get her tested. Oh, and they also checked Diana to make sure she was a virgin, which I believe is royal protocol for all prospective brides. They had to waive that little bit of chauvenism in Kate's case since her and William have been doing "it" for years.
ReplyDeleteI don't see what the big deal is. They've been together a long time, so it's not like they hardly knew each other (like countless royal made in hell matches of centuries past) before she got a bun in her oven.
ReplyDeleteI feel so bad for her though. She got so incredibly skinny for the wedding, that as soon as she gains a pound or two the tabloids are going to be screaming "BABY" at the top of their lungs
ReplyDeleteI feel kinda bad for her too (as much as you can for someone that wealthy at least). That video Lainey posted where she seemed a little unsure of herself speaking about Unicef. Saying Will was annoyed by her. It must suck to be THAT scrutinized.
