Rosie O'Donnell's Engagement Story Gets More Crazy

I always have sucked at math, but this one does not even involve more than a couple of my stubby fingers so I should be able to do this without even setting down my drink. Rosie O'Donnell met her girlfriend in October. Even if you are generous and say they met on October 1st, that was two months and six days ago. This week when Rosie said she got engaged to her girlfriend already I thought it was fast, but hey, Rosie is a fall in love kind of person. No harm in trying to give it your all every time. Yesterday though, Rosie said that she and Michelle Rounds have been engaged for a "couple of months." Umm, so you got engaged a few days after you met? Yeah, this is not going to work out. I want it too, but Rosie just got out of a relationship, jumps right into this one and asks the woman to marry her within a few days. The only other conclusion to draw from all of this is that Rosie actually met Michelle earlier, like when she was still with her ex, but did not want people to think ill of her so went with this story instead.

  1. That is one hot woman! (the fiancee, not Rosie...) Looks like she could kick your butt from here to China...but very attractive. Has kind of a cold, hard face, though.

  2. It can happen. In my family alone, my brother, my cousin, and I all got engaged within a few weeks and it's worked out great for all of us. My brother's going on 20 years!

  3. I'm sure you've heard the lesbian/uhaul jokes before. I certainly have from my lesbian friends and it's sort of a thing that woman tend to shack up much faster.

  4. I think Rosie might want to take a look at LoveFraud before this goes any further.

  5. After a few failed relationships, you would think that Rosie would slow things down a bit.

  6. She said in a Howard Stern interview that they met when they just happened to be standing in line together.

    Really?

  9. @ Sherry - If I remember correctly, they met in line at Starbucks. This is this woman's first lesbian relationship - her parents didn't even know she was gay; they found out through the press or some such nonsense. I don’t see this lasting, but hey, you never know.

  10. Tempestuous Grape, I was about to say the same thing. This is like a bad stereotype.

  11. just for a little backup....I knew a girl who had never had a relationship, really of any kind, because she wasn't interested in men but wasn't brave enough to date women. When she finally decided to just do it, she jumped right in and was finally happy about something.

  14. Yeah, I got a feeling these two were seeing each other before the demise of her marriage. It happens.

  15. Do people even care about Rosie anymore? Her ratings are sinking faster than Susan Sarandon's breasts.

  16. from what I remember, they did not meet in October, they announced their relationship in October. Still not sure exactly when or where they met. What city was the starbucks in?

  19. Rosie seems like she is addicted to relationships and can't be alone. It's too bad she doesn't slow down since she has kids. Kids shouldn't have to have a revolving door of step parents.

  20. Actually, Rosie's ex-wife Kelly got into a relationship pretty fast after they broke up. Rosie was alone for a while and then she met Tracey, they broke up in January or it could have been February of this year. She met this woman in line at Starbucks. Seems pretty fast but all of the kids seem well grounded and they have really good relationships with their parents, Rosie and Kelly.

  21. I think Rosie was with someone else inbetween her marriage and this one. At lease 1 other woman publically.

  22. My husband asked me to marry him one long ago December, and we only started dating mid-September. We're going on 17 years together.

  23. Hubby got me "constructively evicted" from my crappy 6-month rental house and had me moved in with him in less than 4 months from our first date. We'd known each other for years professionally but life brought us together in a very weird way but we were both diggin' it to the degree that we stayed together and have been living AND working together for 10 years now, married for almost 6 of them!

  24. My dad was actually making noises about marriage on his & my mom's first date; it scared the hell out of her! He really wanted to get married & have a family ASAP, but she insisted they wait a while--they met over Labor Day weekend 1954, and could have been married by Christmas (she got her engagement ring for her 11/30 birthday), but waited until June of '55. 56 years and counting... ;-) (Apparently 7 months was considering a longish engagement back then for people who weren't in school/the military...how times change.)
