Demi Moore Goes To Rehab For Exhaustion

While the rest of the world would go on vacation if we were exhausted, Demi Moore has gone to rehab. You know, because the 12 step programs work really well for exhaustion. Besides, Demi just came back from a two week vacation. Apparently doing nothing all day can really tire you out. Of course if you are snorting something up your nose then even if you do not do anything, you are probably staying up for days on end. Demi could be exhausted from the will power needed to not get anything to eat. Do you wonder now if the young guy she was seeing was providing something to her? Maybe making a little trade? Not saying sex, but maybe just some pap photos? A little publicity can do a career some good. I don't think anyone has been shy about talking about Demi's substance issues ever since Ashton Kutcher cheated on her, so I don't know why there is all this hoo ha about exhaustion and improving her overall health.

    "exhaustion" = overdose

  2. I am surprised that she wasn't hospitalized for "dehydration" at the same time. It seems that there's a lot of exhaustion and dehydration in some circles, no?

Curiously, I find myself wishing the best for her. She's not evil or bad. She's just misguided and doesn't seem to want to stop being "herself at twenty," or whatever she's trying to be.

  3. She has looked like crap since the marriage collapsed. I thought maybe it was the stress of that but I guess it was "exhaustion."

i hope she gets better. She's a strong-willed woman, I think she can.

  4. i hope she doesn't forget she has 3 kids who need their mother

    ReplyDelete
  5. If we keep typing "exhaustion" like this, pretty soon the druggy people will be getting high and they'll turn to each other to say:

    Wow, man, I'm totally "exhausted"!

    ReplyDelete
  6. Wow, I didnt think we were using exhaustion as an excuse anymore. I thought we moved on to addiction to prescription pain killers prescribed after dental work and nicotine addiction.

    ReplyDelete
  7. She's been sober for so long, relapse is sad. I hope she pulls through.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I've always liked her. I hope she pulls through as well. It's all Ashton's fault! J/K

  9. Barton, I used to work for a family that is very close to Demi (I can't say how). She is not a nice person.

But I do hope she gets the help she needs, for whatever reason she is really in rehab.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I'm exhausted from remodeling my sons bathroom but unlike the rich I must carry on being a good mom.
I don't dislike Demi but she really needs to get over Ashton and realize that beauty fades with age so she needs to work on being beautiful on the inside for a change.

  11. CNN says there is speculation that it was a seizure. I think the exhaustion excuse is such a joke. How many non celebrities do you know that go to the hospital for exhaustion? What publicist came up with that one originally, and thought the world would buy that as a reason?!

I say either she od'd, or had a seizure from not eating. Either was a very loud cry for help, because she has not been well for awhile. I hope she gets the help she needs.

  12. A vain, self-centered woman snorted too much booger sugar in an effort to stay skinny and forget her problems. Waaaaaaaaaaaah.

Just wondering: where were her daughters when this happened?

I just can't feel bad for her. I do feel bad for Lovato -- who is also supposedly going through similar troubles -- but *this* Demi is a grown woman who should know full well that coke and booze aren't the best ways to get over heartbreak.

  13. Well...she does look exhausted. Whether it's drugs or post-breakup stress, something is really taking its toll on her. I hope she gets better.

She doesn't look exhausted, she looks starved.

She made one of her forgettable movies...the one where she was in the army, I believe...at an army base close to where I live. She was not a popular customer at any of the local restaurants...demanding, hateful, and a bad tipper. I always feel like you can judge a person's personality by how they treat their waiter.

And she needs to get over this youth obsession, too. The woman has grown children, for heaven's sake. She's past looking like a brat packer, no matter how much surgery she has. I'm all for trying to look good, but there is beauty in middle age and even in old age too, and she apparently can't seem to learn that.

    ReplyDelete
  15. You know what I do when I'm exhausted? I get up and go back to work, then I come home and clean my house, then I try to muster energy to make myself food, then I go to bed, then, exhaustedly I get up and go to work again. It may not work for every one, but then again, I don't have insurance, I have no choice and I don't have time to just be exhausted. I feel for her, but jesus, if you're rich and can afford therapy, GO. Poor poor rich people, I just hate that they're so tired.

  16. Demi need to stand back and take a good hard look at herself....her mid-life crisis is just coming a bit later than most.

    ReplyDelete
  17. @Seachica. Coke stroke?

Kevin Sorbo was on TV recently talking about a stroke he had at age 35, at the height if his Hercules fame, and I thought "coke stroke?" there too.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Nutty, his strokes were caused by an aneurism.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Her vanity has made her so much uglier with the amount of work she has had done (and lack of eating). I seriously think that her 'heartbreak' over the end of her relationship is really a mid-life crisis about facing that fact that she is closer to 50 than 30.

    ReplyDelete
  20. When celebs or their publicists say "exhaustion" it's the new word for "substance abuse".Why don't they just SAY rehab? Geez!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Ugh... when will they find a new word for 'overdose'?? I'm so tired of the exhaustion excuse. Since so many publicists read these blogs to see what we think about celebrities, you'd think they'd realize that we're not buying it, especially when the person in question looks like Skeletor!

    ReplyDelete
  22. @parissucksliterally, I ain't gonna fight with you on the niceness thing. I remember an old article in ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY about a reporter who got a job as a waiter at some party she and Bruce put on in their Idaho house in the 90s, and ... well, let's just say, not nice people.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Mooshkie, the aneurism could have been caused by coke. Happened to someone I know.

It could just be vodka for Demi. I know vodka got me through more than one breakup. I always sobered up after. I think she'll be OK. I think this will be a wake-up call for her. And, she doesn't have young kids so she isn't coke mom. Coke mom had young kids.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Coke is a hell of a drug, amiright? Seriously though, glad that she is getting help. She looks terrible in this picture.

  25. Anonymous8:00 AM

No shit, Gypsy. It's just as annoying when you hear actors saying they're going to take a year off because they've been working so much. Ugh.

@Nutty_Flavour, don't discount steroids. He was pretty muscular.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I have to find out more, @Barton and especially @parissucks. :) Spill? Purty please?

    ReplyDelete
  27. She may have been hospitalized for depression, which is a terrible thing to have to deal with.

    ReplyDelete
  28. My ex-brother-in-law used to be a bartender at a club that Bruce & Demi used to visit quite a bit back in the day. He said Bruce was the biggest egomaniac asshole that he'd ever met and that Demi was a pretty big bitch too (though not nearly as bad as Bruce). And this is coming from a guy who likes/gets along with everyone (except my sister whom he cheated on).

I don't know how she is now, but at least back then she was a big bitch. However, bitch or not, hopefully she gets clean and eats something.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Okay. These bitches that go to rehab for "exhaustion". GTFOH. Talk to anyone who has one of the following-children, husband, wife, lover, boyfriend, girlfriend, job, stress, dogs, cats, birds, fish health issues, no health issues, college student, high school student, retired, grandparent Military deployed or getting ready to deploy, banker, etc etc....Bitch, we are exhausted. And you know what? WE TAKE A FUCKIN' NAP.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Enty, you might want to do a grammar check on your use of "hoo ha", I believe that's um, well, you know, lady parts.

    ReplyDelete
  31. @parissucks, I LOOOOVE stories like that from people who really know celebs, pleeeaaaase tell us more! ;-P

Demi is proof that it IS possible to be too thin. She looks awful.

    ReplyDelete
  32. FWIW, Radar is saying she's being treated for anorexia, not drugs.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Exhaustion is to drug abuse what appendicitis is to abortion.

  35. OK.
I would like you guys to hear me out for one second.

Before jumping to the conclusion that Demi relapsed and her breakup with Ashton was the trigger - consider a different scenario.

Demi relapsed agessss ago and Ashton has been covering it up all this time. It's when the co-dependent is gone that it all spirals out of control. The co-dependent usually leaves when they just cant deal with it anymore. Can't deal with the emotional abuse of a bitch on rocket fuel, especially after all theyve done for them.
Noones around to clean up her mess and throw her in the shower and feed her. That's where Ashtons to blame.

Just a scenario Ive got in my head....thanks for listening ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  36. Demi dropped fiancé Emilio Estevez, like a hot potatoe, the minute she met MOONLIGHTING star Bruce Willis....as she needed someone flashier for her ego.

And now her ego's terribly bruised because her son, I mean her hubby, has dropped her, like a hot potatoe, for a younger pussy.

    ReplyDelete
  37. @syko---damn right! Amen to that.

I still to this DAY have contempt for all the local assholes who treated me and my fellow "waits" like crap and tipped poorly back in the day. Yes, I hold a grudge, so be it.

Some of them were big shots who got tons of free food and drinks from our owner, ordered shit after the GD kitchen closed, etc. etc., and STILL tipped like shit. Made me insane.

And some of my friends and family still wait and tend bar! I honestly don't know how they can still stand it.

I cannot even bring myself to smile at some of them (12 years later), and they are oblivious even to recognizing me on the street because we were just "the help."

So fuck Demi if she couldn't even muster civility to underlings.

    ReplyDelete
  38. And I can totally see your scenario, Pazitively Hot--could very well be true.

I mean, the woman just can't be that mature if she had a husband so young. Just doesn't compute.

    ReplyDelete
  39. @ Moosefan...
WORD! I am exhausted. My husband is deployed, my son has chronic migraines, and I severed the tip of my finger in my front door. I'm not whining. I take a long hot bath every night and keep going like the Energizer Bunny.

It's too bad that Demi is having problems but she can afford the best therapists in the world and she can take a long cruise or a spa vacation without worrying about other commitments.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Oh @Cheryl, I am so sorry, that is way too much to deal with. :-( I hope your husband gets home soon, and your son's headaches stop. As for severing your finger, holy shit, can't imagine how much that must have hurt!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Just to add to the Bruce and Demi stories: My brother in law worked on the crew of one of Bruce's movies where we live and he said he was a really nice guy. He threw a party for all of the crew and deejayed during the party. Demi, on the other hand, got her hair done at the same place where I went at the time, and demanded that a stylist be fired because she didn't like the way that she cut her hair. Luckily, the stylist was not fired and the manager suggested that Demi not return even though she was staying in the hotel where the hair salon was located. Everyone can have a bad day, but the stories are too frequent for there to be nothing to them, IMO.

    ReplyDelete
  42. @Cheryl, big hugs for hanging in there! The big difference is, you are a self aware person. Demi has apparently lost the ability to see herself or listen to herself as others see and hear her.

She looks like death warmed over, and that's not an attractive look.

I don't know what her "exhaustion" really is, and frankly, I no longer care.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Trixie - good for the manager!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Cheryl, I just want to thank you for being the backbone of your family right now.

And I hope your finger feels better soon!

Paz, I had the very same thought. Ashton has been very quiet lately and not douching it up.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Not going to lie, I have never liked her. She was a huge reason that I have never seen St. Elmo's Fire (I know, I know everyone my age lived for that movie but I really can't stand her)

    ReplyDelete
  46. WORD X infinity to Cheryl! I am the wife of a 20 year veteran who is currently deployed. 2 children both in school, working full time
handled the holidays, birthdays, tutoring, sports, etc etc and am working on my Masters (slowly and surely I will FINALLY get it).

    ReplyDelete
  47. Oh BigMama, now I am singing that horrible theme song to myself. The film was atrocious. You missed nothing. Stay strong and don't watch it!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Pazitively Hot - I've been swirling that theory around for a while as well, and I'm no Ashton fan. Very, very possible. Regardless, I agree with the poster who said Demi needs to work on being beautiful on the inside at her age. Trying to always keep up with the Jones' (and her daughters) is what's gotta be exhausting. And quit with the fucking bikini pics in the bathroom mirror. That's just sad.

    ReplyDelete
  49. @everybody. Thanks for the love. We all have things to deal with and we keep going. If I had Demi's money I would grab my best friend and take a long cruise. I've got my bathtub and herbal tea.

Go Moosefan! This Army wife says HOOAH!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Bruce was in my neck of the woods when he was filming Armageddon at KSC. He was seen at a lot of the "tittie bars" in Cape Canaveral (a town just north of Cocoa Beach) and let me tell you, those are some sleazy places. Really trashy.

@BigMama - Barton is not kidding about St. Elmo's Fire; IT SUCKS.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Pazitively, great theory! *mulls it over*

some other site (tmz maybe?) had pictures of a very scared and worried rumer...that broke my heart. i hope demi isn't so self-centered that she doesn't realize what it's doing to her children. (major side-eye to you, k-fed).

    ReplyDelete
  52. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  53. She can't be coke mom. Coke mom has very young children.

Exhaustion is the same thing as saying starvation and too many drugs.

    ReplyDelete
  54. You have to look at what you are doing to make you exhausted. She is going out to clubs etc. I am having a week off the gym because I have been pushing myself too hard after my hysterectomy. But then I don't have cleaners, cooks, gardeners etc. that allows me to rest between hair dressing appointments, shopping trips at designer outlets and photo opportunities. I am obviously being slack in not maintaining my appearance and swanning around uselessly. Shall work on that and get back to you with my report on how exhausted that makes me.

    ReplyDelete
  55. She's always seemed unstable to me. My guess is mental illness. Untreated, many fall into the addiction trap (multiple addictions). Demi overcompensates publicly and can't function privately. Hopefully she'll accept help. It must be really hard for her girls. Her mother was mentally ill and the relationship was awful.

    ReplyDelete
  56. TMZ is now saying she was doing whippets and had a seizure. Her poor daughters...

    ReplyDelete
  57. Oops, "whip-it's" - LOL

    ReplyDelete
  58. This is actually genuinely sad because Demi Moore was an addict in the 80's that showed up to the set of St. Elmo's Fire high all the time. Producers nearly fired her so in order to keep her job she got clean and remained clean. She even helped her friend Ally Sheedy battle through her addiction to sleeping pills a few years later in 1988.

Also, here's a message to parents - If you're thinking of naming your newborn daughter Demi - it would probably be best not to do that. Between Demi Moore and Demi Lovato the likely outcome would be that when they're older they'll either date a skeeze that's either too young or too old for them. And whichever way it goes, it won't end well as they'll then become a substance abuser. Just my tip for the day.

    ReplyDelete
  59. whats a whip it please?

    ReplyDelete
  60. whip its = Inhaling the gas from the whipped cream can

    ReplyDelete
  61. Whip It = Inhaling Nitrous Oxide according to TMZ. Which they say is typically used by younger people who are looking for a cheap thrill instead of a middle aged multi-millionaire.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Exhaustion rehab is the new Smoking Rehab

    ReplyDelete
  63. So she was inhaling whipped cream can fumes? I must still live a very sheltered life because I have no idea how one would even think to do that. I also didn't know that the can of whipped cream in my fridge had nitrous oxide in it. Man I need to read up on this stuff.

*I will say I knew about the air in a can huffing because of that damned girl on that episode of Intervention.

    ReplyDelete
  64. They stopped selling cans of whipped cream at the Safeway near my high school because of hoodlums like Demi.

    ReplyDelete
  65. No way! That's kind of stupid considering kids will just find somewhere else to get them. And I cannot believe we are talking about the hustling of canned whipped cream. lol

    ReplyDelete
  66. huffing is ridiculously dangerous... you are basically liquifying your brain. it starves your brain of oxygen and gives a euphoria, it also scares the hell out of me. you can see the dark spots of brain damage on MRIs after one use.

would never do it in a million years. i know someone who died 2 years ago from it. so dangerous it just gives me the creeps.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Alison from intervention was te famous case but the kids around here inhale compressed air for computer cleaning

    ReplyDelete
  68. ^Yeah that's what she (Allison from Intervention) was inhaling too right? The compressed air for cleaning computers?

I still cannot wrap my head around the fact that Demi Moore would do something like this. I am in no way saying that it's BS because I don't really follow her or her career. It just sounds like something some bored teenagers in a Podunk town would do.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Thanks for the explanation of whip-its.

Does this mean I can't suck the whipped cream out of the stem?

I'll just play it safe and switch to a tub of Cool Whip.

For some reason I always liked Demi. I know she wasn't a great actress, but there was something about her. I remember when she was on General Hospital and I loved her rough voice. Wasn't she poor growing up? It makes me sad to read about her being such a bitch to people. But, I believe in karma and it sounds like it finally did its job.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Coke Mom is Debra Messing.

    ReplyDelete
  71. UGH. For the last time...if you're in an OPEN MARRIAGE (with threesomes, foursomes etc) that both couples have agreed to, then why is it still referred to as CHEATING? If he cheated, then SO DID SHE.

And what's with placing all the blame on Ashton? He's annoying as hell, but damn, he's really taking all the hits for the whole mess. I really think getting "caught" was Ashton's passive agressive way of getting out.

I think Ashton finally got sick of enabling or being manipulated by her drug and drinking addictions for what most likely seems like YEARS. (this drama-attention-seeking behavior of hers really isn't new is it? I still remember the 80's and 90's)

Maybe she threatened to hurt herself if he left?

(that happened to me with an ex-bf until finally I told him to go ahead and die 'cause my ass was DONE with his emotional melodrama)

    ReplyDelete
  72. I really think getting "caught" was Ashton's passive agressive way of getting out.

BondGirl: I am so with you on that. And I'm no Ashton fan but this relationship breakdown is so textbook.

When you have an open marriage you don't get divorced for cheating. You lose that card when you declare it open.

    ReplyDelete
  73. So let's all blame the woman ;(

    ReplyDelete
  74. *I posted my comment on the Khloe page somehow so sorry for the repeat.

I have three children under three years old. I have MS. I have a job, a husband and a home to care for. Did I mention the MS? I am scared everyday of my life. I am ex-hau-sted. I find it miles more offensive when people need rehab for their tiredness than their drug issues. Sorry, but f you Demi.
