National Enquirer Blind Item
WHAT hardcore gangsta rapper turned into a temper-throwing diva when he saw the photo that was going to be used for an upcoming magazine cover? Turns out the 40-year-old musician thought he looked way too old standing next to a much-younger entertainer, so he demanded his face be Photoshopped!
Kanye? But his hardcore is not for rapping though.

ReplyDeleteJay and Kanye are touring together and collaborated on an album togeter so I could see this being them, Kanye is 34 and Jay is 42. But I wouldn't say either of them look their age...

ReplyDeleteSnoop is 40. This is probably him. Jay Z and Kanye are not gangsta rappers nor is either one of them 40. Dr. Dre is older than 40. Ice T is older than 40.
ReplyDeleteWu Tang Clan are not gangsta rappers. Gangsta rap is pretty specific to the west coast.
ReplyDeleteSince the blind said "40," not "40 somthing" that leaves out Jay Z and a few others. My guess is Snoop, since he just turned 40. Though, he is always so high, I doubt he would notice how old he looks.
ReplyDeleteSnoop is the only one remotely gangster, and his last "gangsta" album was doggy style almost 20 years ago, he went completely mainstream commercial. I mean, he even did that reality show with his family. Diddy is not an A list rapper (I guess an A list producer, maybe). Not gangster, not mainstream. Jay z is mainstream. Kanye has built his career on not being a gangster rapper. Eminem was never in a gang and does songs with rihanna and paramore.

ReplyDeleteOh, and I think it's 50 Cent(pronounced fifty cent said the queen). He's the most divalicious gangsta I know of and he's always concerned about competition. Kayne is not a gangster rapper -- too artistic. And Snoop hasn't been a ganster since before Soul Plane. Same for Method Man and that horrible TV attempt. I shudder to think.
Eminem and his protege Yelawolf...they were on the cover together of those hip/hop magazines a few months ago. I'm pretty sure Eminem is approaching 40

ReplyDeleteWow...I'm overwhelmed by how long ago hardcore rap hit the scene. I'm going to go with Dr. Dre. He is old school hardcore. The other rappers mentioned, aside from Ice Cube aren't considered hardcore, especially Diddy (Shiddy) or Kanyes. All rap isn't hardcore and in fact most of the hardcore stuff isn't recognized.
