National Enquirer Blind Item

WHAT two-time Oscar winner has completely alienated his Santa Barbara neighbors because he likes to take off and land his noisy helicopter in a field on his property? The still-handsome 60-something star thinks he’s untouchable and refuses to park his chopper at a nearby airport!

  5. I'll concur with Layna Day. Michael D. has won two Oscars.

  7. Robert De Niro: in his late 60s, two Oscars (The Godfather Part II and Raging Bull).
None of the other contenders would fit because of their age (either in their 50s or their 70s)

  8. None, except Douglas (One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest and Wall Street)

  9. Michael Douglas. But to be fair, about 90% of those complaints to the FAA were made by Diandra.

  10. After Kirks accident I don't think Michael would fly in a Helicopter.

  15. I believe Robert De Niro lives in NYC. However IMDB does say that Kevin Costner has a 17 acre spread in Santa Barbara. Just his age doesn't fit. BUT I think he's only won one Oscar.
Is it just me or didn't IMDB used to list the awards people got?

  16. Both Michael Douglas and Kevin Costner have homes in Santa Barbara and two Oscars. I guess it depends on how literal the "60-something" is. Kevin is 55, making him sixtyish, but only Michael(67) is actually 60-something. That being said I still like Kevin because he lives there full time and therefore would have more opportunities to annoy the neighbors. Michael lives in NYC, at least during the school year, so I don't see that he would be thereas often.

  17. This reminds me of Brad Wesley in Roadhouse: "I swear, he does that just to piss me off!"

  18. Using the terms 'field' (Field of Dreams) and 'untouchable' (The Untouchables) makes me think this is Kevin Costner.

  19. Harrison Ford doesn't have two Oscars only one nomination.

  20. It's gotta be Costner - field and untouchable. The National Enquirer didn't check the age, because I always think of him as being in his 60s. And haven't there been other blinds about what a self-centered asshole he is?

  21. What's the point of winning 2 Oscars if you can't land your helicoptor on your own lawn!

    Neighbors need to stop hating.

    Seriously...

  23. Harrison Ford never won an Oscar. He should have in '86 for Mosquito Coast, though.

    Kevin Costner has two Oscars.

  24. Costner won two Oscars (Best Picture, Best Director) for Dances with Wolves. He lives in Santa Barbara. It's got to be him, despite the age being off.

Michael Douglas may own property in Santa Barbara, but all the pap shots in the Daily Mail - and they are frequent - are taken in NYC or on vacation.

And, yes, Costner does have a rep as a d-bag. Remember his honeymoon massage?

  25. I live there; Michael Douglas. Most of the time he's OK, but he can be an epic jerk on occasion.

  26. Also, with him being ill I think he'd get a pass lately. You never know when a helicopter would be taking him to the hospital.

Santa came to Costner's ranch via helicopter.
