Amber Portwood Has To Get A Job

Amber Portwood was sentenced yesterday to 5 years in jail but as I told you before will be suspended as long as she completes this rehab program. I am really having my doubts she can do it. I want her to do it. She told the judge yesterday that she has been taking drugs since she was 13 and has taken as many as ten pills a day combined with booze. One of the things the judge mentioned was that Amber makes more than $100K a year and not many people who have not graduated from high school ever make that much money. He then said that as a part of the program, Amber will have to also have a regular job. I think it is a good idea, but I also think it is unfair in a sense. She has a high paying job which will be much better for her daughter financially than working at McDonald's. I would hate to see her have to stop working the MTV job to try and fit in her shift at the deep fryer.

  1. It will be a great new twist on a reality show, though.

  2. Enty I'm sure it's to make her understand the word RESPONSIBILITY, nothing to do with finances.

  3. Indeed, Princess. It's time for her to learn how to keep a schedule and be answerable to another human being, because obviously, childbirth did not impart those values.

  5. Why would you hate to see that? That's what REALITY is for most of the REAL world who doesn't get paid to do "reality" shows.

  7. Yeah, yeah. They told Casey Anthony the very same thing and she hasn't worked a day.

  8. I get what you mean Enty about "she already has a great paying job", but lets face it, what kind of example is she setting for Leah? I think Amber getting a job is a great idea!

I honestly don't see her staying sober...but hope she does.

  9. She makes money from the reality show. Clearly she is allowed to f**k up literally and figuratively as well as fight, cheat, and booze it up.
That in no way resembles any job I've ever had. She needs to learn to deal with people,co-workers, a boss.

This show won't last forever, and I'm pretty sure she's not an investment and financial whiz.

  10. Not to mention the fact that she is no longer filming the MTV show (right?) so those checks are going to stop.

  11. there is no long term career prospects in reality television. Heidi & Spencer can tell you that.

Once Mtv is done with you, they are done with you.

  12. If you give trash money they'll just use it for trash. MTV need to help these kids mentally not just financially.

  13. she needs some rehab and and education to set a good example to Leah. Without an education her future is dim as she does not strike me as a girl willing to work at Subway.

She's become accustomed to not working for $100G, as if she is going to work like us common folk for $8/hour. I see more drugs and crime once the MTV paycheck is done.

  14. Within 1 year Amber Portwood will be LUCKY to get a job at McDonald's. I suppose it's too much to hope that she's saving/investing any of that MTV money, huh? ha.

Oh, and two years from now she'll be 350 pounds and have very few teeth left.

  15. Stripes are ALWAYS in vogue.

Amber is a piece of crap, and I feel bad for poor little Leah. Hopefully she will find better role models in her life.
