This former almost A list female singer who does not do too badly for herself in her other endeavors now, gave her boyfriend a certain amount of money she wanted him to spend on her for Christmas. She even told him what she wanted and when she was planning on displaying it on public. Not only did the boyfriend not get what she wanted him to get, he apparently pocketed about 85% of the funds she gave him for the present and says he should get it as a bonus for his efforts this year.

Her man's genes are probably the best thing about him (he's smart, tall, fairly good-looking) and she's gotten those. She doesn't need to marry him if he want even do a little shopping for her. (Although I do think it is kind of bitchy and sad to hand someone some money and tell them what to buy you.) Rich people shouldn't even do presents for Christmas and birthdays. They should have done something for each other's favorite charities instead.

ReplyDeleteMy SO plays football & when he went to the probowl, Tony Romo & Jason Witten were there as well. We got to know Jason & his wife Michelle really well. Jessica was there that year (this was when she & Tony were dating) & was glued to Michelle's side, she was really shy but very nice.
Anyways, point of my post: The night before the game, a lot of the wives/girlfriends who had made friends went out together to have some drinks. Jessica came out, but went back earlier than some of us. Me & my best friend ended up staying out late with Michelle & asked her how crazy it was in Dallas with Jessica. This was when people would hold up Jessica masks & stuff like that. Michelle & Jessica always sat in the same box together (Tony & Jason are bff's) & this one game Jessica came in all puffy eyed & had clearly been crying/upset. Michelle asked Jessica what was wrong & she told her it was the anniversary of her divorce & she had been up for the past couple days crying & really upset. Michelle asked Jessica how Tony was taking it & she said he was really supportive & totally understood. THEN Jessica starts talking about the reason she really got divorced. Jessica told Michelle that Nick was really controlling & was verbally abusive & had hit her on a few occasions(Michelle said Jessica made it seem like 2 or 3 times).
Needless to say, me & my friend were shocked, but we went & watched some old episodes of Newlyweds & you can tell how Nick seems genuinely super annoyed at Jessica & gets pretty pissed. Anyways, had to share!
Interesting, MirandaPrieslty - I would have never even thought that was a possibility, especially since they were filming like half their lives in front of their audience (and crew). Maybe towards the end of their marriage?

Nick and papa Joe did not see eye to eye and there were issues there to boot. Frankly I am surprised to hear he hit her. He does not seem the type at all. I always flt there had to be more to the story for her to divorce- She was such a romantic. I don't think her success would have changed that. But it makes perfect sense he would have been threatened by it. I'd heard the controlling/verbally abusive accusation before from someone who was close to them as well. I never suspected the hitting though! But she did write a country song about being abused and people were speculating who it was about, but no one really guessed Nick. They assumed it was an ex bf after her divorce.
