According to a source, there is a very religious actor (probably B/C list now) that seeks out members of his faith in Hollywood and if they don’t follow the tenets of the faith, turns them in to local leaders.
Levi is an Evangelical Christian and has been since childhood. In a 2002 interview with Relevant Magazine, he said, "My job on my set, I believe, is to first just love people and gain that trust with people where they know that I really do love them and care about their well-being, so that when they are running into problems, they will hopefully, at some point, come to me and ask me, 'What is your peace all about? What is your comfort all about? Where do you get your love? Where do you get your talents?' And I can turn to them and say without blinking, 'Jesus Christ.'"[18]
Two well-known, quite religious actors who come to mind are Neil McDonough & Jim Caviezel, who have actually turned down parts because they felt a conflict with their religion.
This sounds like a mormon to me -- mormonism has a lot of tenets to follow, and your local ward will follow up if you're not attending church. I'll go with Rick Schroder.
@Seachica Your theory makes really good sense. The Mormons don't necessarily strong arm, but if a member turns you in to the local ward, you'll have the missionary elders knocking on your door in no time. Guess how I know that:)
Sounds like a Scientology thing. I'm Catholic. If I turned someone in for not following the religion I'd pretty much be told it's none of my business by the priest or whoever I tried to rat on them to. The only thing they would suggest is to pray for them. And they wouldn't confront the person I turned in.

@surfer, Have you watched "Person of Interest"? Jim Caviezel plays a guy who kills someone on nearly every episode, of course he is the good guy and they are the bad guys.
McDonough turns down roles where he his character is supposed to kiss/sleep with another woman. He's uber-faithful evidently (and lacks some ability to separate work from real life, IMO).

This isn't Kirk, sorry. I grew up in the Pentecostal/Apostolic faith and it may be viewed as very different but there are no church elders hunting down sinners or rule-breakers. This sounds like more cult-like behavior. We all know Scientology practices these methods of controlling followers so my guess is one of them.
Christians in general don't have such a rigid hierarchy to 'turn someone' in to. Catholics do have a hierarchy, but they don't care about stuff like this (speaking from personal experience). This sounds like a Mormon, a Scientologist, or possibly a Jehovahs Witness. Then again, it's Buzz photo so..... (yeah, 5 dots for anyone who saw The Office last night).

I grew up a Catholic. We use to have a kid that did this ALL the time. The priest told them that. We laughed like crazy. I got told on because I did not eat a fish sandwhich for a Friday in Lent. I ate a PB&J sandwhich. I told her peanutbutter wasn't meat at all so stick it. The priest told her to mind her own business and stop seeking attention in negative ways.

I lived in a town that was heavily populated by Mennonites & all their different off shoots. "Spys" were sent out on Sundays to local parks & shopping malls to 'catch' patrons out sinning (you know, those terrble, evil crutches of fishing, swimming, picnicing) when they were supposed to "Celebrate the Glory of God" ALL friggin day. If they were caught, they were shamed in front of the whole congregation the follwing week.
Oh ya, "3 strikes, you're out" rule applied too. Kicked out & blacklisted from not only the church, but friends & relatives as well.
So ya, in short, Christians can be controlling shitheads as well.

"Tenets of faith" just means the particular customs/laws of a given religion, not specific to any one religion.
