Nicolas Cage Gets In The Cage With Nicolas Cage

I always love when a lampooned celebrity makes an appearance on their own show. Saturday night Nicolas Cage showed up to take his turn on the In The Cage segment with Andy Samberg as Nic Cage. It was pretty funny.

  1. "High Praise" for the skit, I have been hoping Nic Cage would show up at some point.

    Loved it.

  2. I'm still laughing about the 'threesome with the declaration of independence' line

  3. This is what I was talking about yesterday! So impressed Nic didn't laugh. So funny. @timebob, I've been hoping for the same thing, but wondering if he's too serious to be part of the sketch. Nope!

  4. During 60 Minutes Anderson Cooper showed Adele an SNL sketch about her songs being sad and she cracked up, it was cute.

My fave and biggest shock was years ago when Barbra Streisand showed up on SNL for Coffee Tawk.

  5. I started cracking up as soon as Seth Meyer made the introduction. This, for me, was the highlight of the whole show!

  6. Aw, Nic Cage is one of those celebs that I can't seem to hate on no matter what crazy stuff he does. I guess he's tame compared to alot of them, but I just have a soft spot for him. That's high praise.

Get In the Cage is always hilarious to me. I hope this doesn't mean Andy's done with it.

  7. I like him. He is a little looney, but he made some really good movies.

  8. He's a good sport.

This was a great episode, save a few sketches (the crab one, for ex.). I almost peed my pants during the "Bein' Quirky" skit. Wiig as Bjork?? "I left an extra hole for it's dreams & ideas." I think I watched that part 3 times. I loved the Verizon & Clint commercials too.

  9. My favorite part of SNL this past week was this...oh and Karmin. Love them. I have love for Cage too. He's weird, eccentric as hell, and beat up on a lot for his choice of movie roles..but screw it...he has a special place in my um, heart? movie repertoire? Um. yeah. lol.
