I give Nick Cannon a lot of crap about being the lap dog of Mariah Carey, but the fact is he also works like crazy. He does about the same amount of work as Ryan Seacrest and he has Mariah Carey to deal with everyday too so that puts him well beyond anything Ryan has going for him. All of this work and flying back and forth across the country is killing him though. Literally. There was the kidney shutdown. Then, last week it was discovered he had two blood clots in his lungs. Umm, those are a killer. His doctors told him that if he does not stop working so much, he will die. So, he has decided to stop hosting his morning radio show in New York. He will still have a weekly countdown show plus America's Got Talent, plus all the other stuff he does. Oh, and the nightly feet scraping for Mariah.
I hope he gets better soon. Nick, you have two kids and a wife and all the money you will ever need. Enjoy them.

ReplyDeleteI sometimes wonder if he would be so popular if he weren't so goodlooking, suave, charming, sexy and totally overwhelming. Then I realize I'm in coming dangerously close to falling in love, so I have to stop thinking about him. Damn. I hope he stays healthy forever.

ReplyDeleteA blood clot to the lung is deadly. many people have died from it. I actually survived it at 20 yrs of age. I now have whats known as a greenfield filter in my jugular vein that strains my blood and keeps clots from going to my heart and killing me.

ReplyDeleteSadie - you are the first person I have heard talk about the Greenfield Filter. My dad had one, and very few people were familiar with it, doctors included. It is a lifesaver and anyone that has clotting conditions should consider getting one.

Here is this kid, who fell in love and married one of the wealthiest woman around and instead of riding her coattails, he works his ass off to make his own money. Bravo. Others should take note and follow his example. I’m looking at you, Jessica Simpson’s baby daddy. (What the heck is his name anyway?)
Love this guy...although, he better divorce Mariah if he wants to live. She's going to put him in an early grave.

I really hope he slows down. Like everyone else is saying, he is a likable guy, and he seems to be a VERY hard worker. It seems like he has worked pretty hard to make sure Mariah isn't his meal ticket, and it is catching up with him. STAY HEALTHY!
