Two Washington State Police Are My Heroes

Thanks to two police officers in Washington State, Josh Powell is not going to be able to spend eternity next to the two boys he killed. Josh's asinine family wanted him buried next to his two kids which made two police officers as sick as it makes me. So, they took their personal money and bought burial plots on either side of Josh Powell so that his kids would not have to be next to him forever. Burial plots are expensive, especially in a specific location and it was really great of these two police officers to do it. One of the police officers who helped buy the plots was on a Seattle radio show announcing what he had done. I am sure he and the other officer will be flooded with thanks.

  1. That monster shouldn't be allowed in a cemetery.

  2. What the hell is wrong with the family members? I think the sane relatives of the boys and their mother have been through enough without having to see that creep's grave when they visit the cemetery.

  3. How sad is this whole story going to turn out to be? It's wonderful what those officers did but sad to think that, that act of kindness was what kept them away from that monster one last time.

  4. I wouldn't be surprised if his parents are the kind that think their kid never does anything wrong.

His body should be dumped in a landfill.

  5. I hope they can find mom so she can be with her boys....I'm sitting here crying. This is so sad.
    Those police officers are HERO'S...

  6. I am from the Seattle Area. The plot will be given to Susan's family for her when she is found.
As for his family-purchase another plot somewhere else. For once, have decency to let Susan's family visit those boys with peace.

That son of a bitch knows something. Why are these people so fucking evil?

  9. How did this work exactly? Weren't they all buried at the same time? Did Josh already have a plot?

That family could always cremate the boys and put them in the same grave with their father. I recently went through the process of funeral arrangements and the furneral director said that is one of the options.

  10. ^not that I'm supporting them burried together. Just saying that wacko's family could still do a work-around. Hope not.

  11. That wacko steven powell will never admit to anything. Seeing him being interviewed before his arrest was disgusting. He loved all the attention and clearly enjoyed knowing something that the police didn't.

Hope the inmates toss his salad.

  12. There are reports that he killed pets when he was a child. He was one messed up individual.

  13. I don't understand this at all. My understanding was that the mother's parents had custody. As such shouldn't they have the legal responsibility for determining where they are buried? The father's wishes should not be relevant since he did not have custody.

  14. They bought the plots next to the BOYS. They were buried in the same casket. Not for Josh. Right now his family is trying to buy a plot in view of the boys'. The Mother's family is trying to get that stopped

  15. Enty has it wrong. The police bought plots on either side of the BOY's graves so that Josh's parents could not bury him anywhere near where the boys are already buried.

  17. I'm confused, why can't the company that owns the cemetery refuse to sell that family any plots at all?

I think they would be praised to refuse to do business with people that evil (and perhaps make more money than selling just one plot, in the future).

  18. I keep thinking back to the mormon belief that the family is reunited in the afterlife. I wonder if that plays into this somehow. Perhaps someone who is mormon can shed some light on this, and whether she will truly be tied to her husband forever, or if there is some sort of contingency for that in the case of murder.

  19. The SOB took a hatchet to those babies before he blew them up. He doesn't deserve to RIP period, let alone anywhere near them. My heart goes out to the Cox family - they are living a nightmare no one deserves. My prayers are that they find the mother's body so she can be reunited with her kids, and that the family can find peace.

  20. @Deep - the cemetary may not have a legal right to not sell a gravesite - afraid of being charged with discrimination or some such garbage. Public businesses often have their hands tied in these matters.

  21. No she will not be tied to her husband forever in the Mormon faith. If her husband commits a deadly sin (i.e., murder) then that bond is broken. If she's going to heaven, she's there while that idiot Josh is on an express train to hell for murdering those two boys (and presumably his wife). So no, they are not bound for eternity. No way.

Also we can help stop the Powell family from buying a grave site near the boys:

  22. I'd actually heard that Crimestoppers had bought the plots, but good for those cops!

This story makes me so sick to my stomach. I really hope the police are able to find SOMETHING in his "real" house or storage unit that links where the wife is, so her family can get some closure. This pyscho's family should have ZERO rights to be able to decide anything about the kids burial.

  23. That is really amazing that those two police officers did that. In regards to that monster's family, I find them just as repulsive as he was.

  24. What??? Family members wanted them buried together? Insane. I just don't understand the way people think. He's a murderer. He shouldn't be allowed anywhere near any cemetary. Murderers should be put in an unmarked grave in a cemetary of murderers.

  25. Chris Brown is an idiot and I dislike him a lot...but I do like his music and the way he dances(sorry)

This Josh guy I loathe with a passion....may he burn!!!!! his father also.

  26. Lisa, thank you for clearing that up for me. I find peace in the thought that her family believes that he will not have anything to do with them in the afterlife.

  27. If the officers hadn't done it, almost ANYONE here in Washington would have donated money to stop it. What the *eff*, his family must be insane to think they could get away with this!

  28. I understand that the whole thought of it is bad, especially for her family to visit the graves, but it doesn't affect the boys. When I am dead, I will have no knowledge or concern over whose body is buried near me. Either I am DEAD with no awareness at all, or I am in heaven with no concern over petty earthly things.
