Didn't see Will Ferrell's Old Milwaukee Superbowl commercial? That is because it only aired in Nebraska.

  1. Uh, kinda dumb to post the video if you're not going to show it all.

  5. He made 4 or 5 from around my hometown in Iowa. They only aired in my area. He did them all for free and they were his idea. Maybe this is a similar thing.

  7. It was cut off on purpose. I guess the joke is, it's a 30 second commercial spot, and he took 29 second to walk forward, that by the time he actually did the commercial, the 30 secs were up and they had to cut him off.

I don't give a shit about Super Bowl commercials, I find the hype beyond annoying and haven't watched any (including and especially the Ferris Bueller ad) but I clicked on this. He can just stand there and I'll laugh.

anita_mark, I'm with you, but I did watch the Matthew Broderick/Ferris Bueller one (today) and it was pretty darn funny/cute. You should give it a whirl.

And Will Ferrell is always ridiculous! I was trying to imagine if it were me...I don't think I could've kept a straight face for 5 seconds doing that walk. He is a comedy god.

No kidding. Have you ever watched the outtakes of Eastbound and Down where he's talking and Kenny Powers and Darryl from the Office are trying to keep a straight face? You know WF's goal is to make them laugh and he just gets more and more ridiculous. "I can feel it, in my pluuuuuuums. So damn funny.

  11. @crila16 - thank you. I wondered about this spot all day yesterday and started thinking - what if THAT'S the joke? Brilliant! I love that kind of sense of humor.

  12. @anita_mark - I'm with you. Will Ferrell can be completely straight faced & I will dissolve into giggles. We just watched SNL's the Best of WF this weekend. :)
