Your Turn

Very simple question. Who is your pick for the SuperBowl? Oh, and will Madonna be any good at halftime?

  1. Patriots! Madonna's gonna suck.

  2. I'm uninterested in the game & I hope her performance is as horrid as she is.

  3. Whatever team Eli plays for, and no. Halftime will most certainly suck.

  4. Just watched the new Madonna video, it's football themed. Also saw on CNN last night that superbowl performers' record sales go up a ridiculous 400-500% after their performances! She's going to make superbank! (Groan.)

I have no pick, hate football - watching SB for the ads and because a small person I'm related to desperately wants to see LMFAO perform.

  5. Patriots. Madonna will sound ok, but her attitude is going to blow chunks. She thinks she is so very important. You're just a chick from Michigan, dude.

    1. Ditto. Go Pats.
Hey Eny, drag out that video that was a parady of Housewives except I think they were Southies. Ha!

  6. Green Bay and no.

Oh yeah... hangs head in severe depression.

  7. she's got MIA and nikki minaj performing with her...will it be good? Um, NOPE!

  8. I don't know. Madonna is nothing if not an entertainer. It might be that, slightly entertaining. Who knows.

    I'm rooting for The Giants.

  9. Patriots! Wes Welker is a fellow Texas Tech alum.

    I doubt it.

  10. Giants

Will she suck any worse than what they have had in the past? No.

BEP sucked so bad last year that Madonna humping on a side of beef for 10 minutes would be a better show.

  11. Giants.

    Haha...no.

Giants. They are the underdog. Madonna may be alright if she just simply performs and doesn't go overboard. She's already one of the wealthiest entertainers. Notice I said wealthy and not rich.

Anyway, I wanna hear her 80s stuff!

  13. Seahawks

    Madonna will S U C K

  14. I'm hoping (but not praying) that the Giants win. I'll probably be doing a bathroom break at halftime like most people do. I saw part of Madonna's new video last night during AI and I was underwhelmed.

Anybody but the Patriots. Hate them, despise their QB. I don't know about Madonna, she IS an entertainer. I saw her on a talk show this week, she came across as almost likeable. Never been one of my favorites, but she might do okay.

  16. Patriots.

And no. I am a big Madonna fan, but went to see her a few years ago and it was the worst concert I ever saw.

  17. Don't care...football and baseball make me zzzzzzz

    ReplyDelete
  18. The Pats because when I pick them, they lose!

  19. Put my vote with Heather's. Prince made me forget there was a Super Bowl, but this Madonna thing is going to be not good. To much hype, too many movies fouled up in the interim. Buy my CD.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Pats.

Is it wrong to hope Madonna falls on her ass and has an Asslee Simpson moment with the lip syncing?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Patriots. Just cause my boy likes them. I don't really care either way, but I like for my boy to be happy.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I'm rooting for the commercials.

I don't know if Madonna will be any good. But the kittens in the puppy bowl halftime show will be excellent.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Patriots!!! Madonna is going to be terrible but I'm looking forward to LMFAO and also Kelly Clarkson singing the anthem.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I couldn't care less. I actually have a life and more important things to do.

  25. If I wanted to watch a senior citizen with crypt-keeper arms pelvic thrust and lip sync, I'd go to one of her concerts. As far as Nikki Minaj goes, on the last MTV video or movie awards, she was on the red carpet and did a number, seriously the most god-awful singing you can imagine. She is NOTHING without auto-tune, speaking (rapping) or maybe a milli vanilli situation or whtaever, but girl CANNOT sing.

  26. Patriots. Hell no.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Ravens!!!! In all seriousness, I want the Pats to lose miserably. Sigh, go Giants.

Madonna is not worth the sweat, blood, tears or time to watch her stupid halftime performance.

    ReplyDelete
  28. @pilly, OMG a fellow Seahawks fan!!!

I've got no team allegiance in this fight.
Madonna will be over the top, don't know if that means good.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Pats.

I refuse to watch her, but she is too much of a control freak to not do well.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Like most of Indianapolis residents--if we can't root for Peyton we go Eli...GO GIANTS!!!

Seriously, Prince Tommy should have a food-taster while he's here; Eli or no, we hate the Patriots.

Madonna knows how to put on a huge show, so she does have that in her favor. I'm rooting for her because when she embarrasses herself, she just never stops trying to 'correct' it and looks even more desperate. These days. It's sad she can't let go with dignity.

Let's end on a positive note--Eli is just an adorable young man, isn't he? SIGH.

  31. Diants, and she can't be any worse than the Black Eyed Peas last year. What a train wreck!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Pats! If I ever see Gronk naked I would die a happy woman.

    ReplyDelete
  33. not that I care because Ravens should have made it, but I'm going with Giants. Also, I think Madonna is past her prime and will put on a half-ass performance. Her being stellar is only in her head.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Madonna will suck, and I don't like either team, so I hope it's a scoreless tie.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I am hoping for a massive power failure and for aliens to invade so neither will win.

    Signed, an Eagles fan.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I don't know enough about football to make an educated guess about which team will win, but since I'm a New York Rangers fan, I'll guess the Giants.

I think Madonna's show will be good, because I don't think she wants to read in the papers the next day that she sucked. She'll probably go all-out so that she gets glowing reviews.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Patriots all the way!!!! I live in NYC and the Giants fans have become cocky...similar to the Jets fans.

If Madonna lipsyncs, she'll be good, if she sings live (Never going to happen) she probably wont' be that great.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'm a big football fan and I so don't care who wins. Ravens vs. Niners would have been great. Can't bet against Belicheck though, so Pats.

Madonna will come off sterile passionless even though she will pull some kind of erotic transgression to create a faux scandal. Sadly, she will still be better than my beloved Who were last year.

    ReplyDelete
  39. zero fucks given for both.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Don't like either team and wish Green Bay was playIng instead. Sigh.

Madonna will bring it. I had never seen her live before and went on her last tour. That tiny little pretentious broad gives more than her back up dancers that are 30 yrs younger than her. If she didn't Plan on delivering she would not be doing this show. Love her or hate her, she is an amazing entertainer.

  41. The Eagles, and no.

  42. As I am Team Bridget .. Giants

Madonna will suck as bad as most recent era [blame New Kids on the Block] SuperBowl performances usually suck. [I still cannot get The Who's performance out of my brain no matter how hard I try. That damn near killed my love for The Who!] However .. if she sings that POS she released recently .. it will suck to a point I fear Lucas Oil Field might disappear in one big black hole of suck.

Bring back Up with People .. at least then it would be an ironic, cheesy sucking!

  43. I don't follow sports. I knew that the Patriots were playing, but didn't know they were playing the Giants until I read some of the posts. I kind of hope the Patriots lose, mostly because of that lame email Gisele sent. I find T & G insufferably smug. But I digress.

Dunno about Madonna. 50/50 chance she'll do a credible job. I'll have to watch and see. (I'm going to a Superbowl party for the friends and food; I couldn't care less about the game.)

    ReplyDelete
  44. Giants.

If Madonna doesn't horrify us by showing a tit it will be okay.

    ReplyDelete
  45. The Patriots, of course.

Madonna is going to wicked suck. At least she did promise to keep her clothes on.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I didn't read all of the comments just like the first ten going down and the the first five from the bottom up..... but am I the only one that thinks Madonna is going to be entertaining??

I think she is totally stuck up and out of touch with the real world but I'm still looking forward to what she is going to come up with

Geez everyone stop being so damn negative all the time

    ReplyDelete
  47. I pick the team with that one guy who's good at throwing the ball, and that other guy who's good at knocking people over.

I just heard that M.I.A. is going to be part of Madonna's show, so now I may have to watch.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Go Pats! (Even though I'm just as sick of Tom & Gisele as everyone else, as a native New Englander I have to go w/the home team & all its other players.) As for Madge, who the hell knows? Whatever she does, though, I'm sure we'll all be talking about it on Monday, so she'll win in that regard no matter what...

    ReplyDelete
  49. Giants ftw! And Madonna is gonna suck. Growing old gracefully is not her forte. Why do they insist on asking all these old geezers to perform at half time? With the exception of Prince they were mediocre at best.

Whatever happened to having marching bands perform at halftime? Some of those college bands kick some serious butt with musicianship and choreography.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Patriots. My husband is from MA. Madonna needs to leave her British accent at home.

    ReplyDelete
  51. It would be nice for the Pats to win in honor of Bill Kraft's wife Mayra who lost her life to cancer right before the beginning of the season. I'm a softie what can I say.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Here in Steeler's Country," if they ain't in it ...there is no Super Bowl."

lol..overheard this from 2 old men talking. I could care less on who wins.

I think Madge will suck like a Hoover. I think whoever picked her for a half-time show needs their head examined.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I have no preference since the team(s) I typically follow aren't playing. But I think it will be a good game.

Surprisingly, I'm looking forward to Madonna. I could like here again, I think. Watching her press conference, it seems that she's finally ditched her affected British accent - showed off a few dance moves - and mentioned she's going to perform 3 old songs. I really hope that they're old, old school Madonna. I miss old school Madonna. Probably because I'm nearly as old as she is!

  54. I have to state this: Green Bay was the best team in the NFL this past year. Whoever is playing in the Superbowl really is not the best team. I'm going for the Pats, because my 49ers lost. The Giants suck balls as will Vadge. Not watching the game either.
