ACM Awards Desperate For Ratings - Ashton Kutcher Is Presenting

Can anyone think of anything Ashton Kutcher has done in music, let alone country music, other than probably trying to hit on Taylor Swift? When Ashton Kutcher meets someone from country music he automatically thinks they are in Sugarland so that is a great qualification to present the award for female vocalist of the year.

With the exception of Liam Hemsworth, every other presenter has some kind of connection to music. And Liam can says that he has sex everyday with a musician which is probably a closer connection than Ashton has, although if you give him a few hours at rehearsal he could probably change all of that.

The real reason Ashton is presenting is because the awards are on CBS and Ashton is on CBS. To give him one of the big awards though seems kind of wrong.

  1. Don't all the awards shows do this?

We often see people presenting who are in a different line of work, but nevertheless, have some sort of vague connection.

  2. So he's not just presenting, he's getting a 'big award'? I'm confused. But you're right, it's the same feeling I get when Kim Kartrashian was at the Oscars or something.

  3. How does this fucktard keep getting these opportunities? Why is CBS making such an investment in him?

He's not funny. He doesn't act - he's the same douche onscreen as he is off. I'm sorry if any of you ladies dig him, but I don't find him attractive either. Goofy looking at best. And he's the type to all of a sudden hit a wall, as opposed to aging gracefully.

    I'll stop now.

  4. seeing that CBS just made him the highest paid actor on television with a mediocre sit-com.

It's the least he could do. And like enty said on Twitter. Ashton needs a new pool of women to hit on.

Yeah, the amount of breaks this guy has had in his life...unreal.

-Gets "discovered" by some modeling scout while in a dive bar in Iowa City, IA. She tells him to enter this modeling contest that's in town for the weekend. He does. He wins.
-While modeling in NYC and abroad, someone tells him to go to LA for pilot season. He goes out there and lands "70's Show" within a week or something.
-70's show is a hit (most shows fail).
-Although not very talented, has a big enough following among some demo to keep getting movie roles in (mostly) crap movies (i.e. gets to keep working as an actor even though he and his movies suck).

He's like the Piddly Diddly of Hollywood. He has no talent for the line of work he's in (Diddly - music, Kutcher - movies), yet he's a huge star who makes a ton of $$.

  8. Last Monday I was channel surfing and hit on 2 1/2 Men so I watched it. My God is it terrible!!!! It was a little more entertaining with Charlie Sheen, but Ashton is just awful. I won't watch it again, or anything else he's on.

  10. I'm not surprised that he's going to present. I'm sure there are other CBS stars presenting awards too. I'll be watching the show (not for Ashton, but I'm a country music fan) but will probably fast forward while Ashton's presenting.

  11. Still confused by this part: "To give him one of the big awards though seems kind of wrong." Why is he getting an award?

  12. He's not getting an award, he is getting to present an award.

What they are "giving" him is the honor of presenting the award, much like Tom Cruise was the presenter for Best Actor (I think) - it is very prestigious to be selected to present big awards.

  13. Still hoping that when he gets blasted into space he gets stuck up there.

  14. "He's going to sign a deal for one million dollars an episode very soon."
    It's a world gone mad!

    Just saying.
