BuzzFoto Blind Item
This actor on a newer HBO series, is struggling with overcoming an addiction to alcohol. He’s asked that while on set, no one brings alcohol around him or his trailer to avoid the temptation. Unfortunately, one careless cast member is always offering him a beer in between takes, to the point that some of the other cast think it might be on purpose.

ReplyDeleteTrue Blood's not new anymore. It's been on for several years. I would guess Game of Thrones, but I have no idea who the actor is.

ReplyDeleteNewer HBO shows would be: Boardwalk Empire (but they already got rid of Michael Pitt and Paz de la Huerta), Treme, Game of Thrones or Enlightened.
I don't think this is Treme. It's going into it's third year, and the cast and crew have repeatedly worked together going back to Homicide in the 90s. Also, the age and caliber of a lot of the actors would seem to go against this. I think this involves some of the younger guys on Game of Thrones.

Whoever it is, the cast member should be reprimanded by someone in charge. Especially if there's a suspicion of it being on purpose.

ReplyDeleteWhoever the costar is, they are an asshole. Good for the actor for making what appears to be a serious effort, but it will be hard to keep up with a jerk like that around.

ReplyDeleteReally hard to guess a Thrones actor. They shoot all over the world. Unless you're in scenes together, you don't see one another.
I wonder if this item is old and it was Michael Pitt?
Just so long as it's not Peter Dinkladge from Game of Thrones. =) I love that guy.

ReplyDeleteIf anyone out there reading this is the actor involved, or knows him, please reassure him that this is actually common in the recovery community. There's nearly always a "friend" or family member who does their best to undermine the process, either verbally or by actually offering the substance involved. You know what to do.
ReplyDeleteAh...thinks it might be on purpose??? Try jealous is more like it. Either jealous that the actor is getting back on his feet and being healthy (misery loves company), or jealous of the actor for his soaring career. Either way, he's no friend and he's not supportive.

Careless cast member - Ricky Gervais
Warwick Davis has had a problem in the past with both alcohol and drugs. He has been quoted in numerous interviews as saying that during his hey day of partying, he would go through "...a case of scotch, an ounce of blow, a ton of reefer and a roomful of sluts. On Friday!"
