National Enquirer Blind Item

WHAT legendary comedian has been feuding with her longtime female sidekick for years? The beloved Emmy Award-winning funny ladies never get together socially anymore, but will put on their best game face when they’re honored for their work on their classic TV variety show.

  4. Whoever they are, I admire and apreciate their keeping it to themselves. Other blabbermouths, take note! And I am onboard with the Carol-Vicki thing. Vivki has said she thought Carols husband, Joe Hamilton, screwed her over money wise on the Mana's family show.

  8. Gotta be Carol and Vicki. The only other pairing that'd fit this venue would be Lucille and Vivian Vance, but they were apparently BFF offstage and both are long gone.

  11. The best comments were probably the ones that were "removed by the author."

  13. CommaChaser, I think they became better friends as they got older, but weren't great friends during the show.

  14. The only two that I can think of are Carol Burnett and Vickie Lawrence.

  16. LOL, you know it's obvious when even I get it. I can't even think of anyone else that would fit this.

  17. Laverne and Shirley?

  18. Lab Man, I thought Laverne & Shirley, too, because they are getting a new special honoring them... BUT, they were not a 'variety show'. I missed that on my first go-round.

The only other variety shows I can think of are: Ed Sullivan, and Sha Na Na. Neither of those fit, though.

I *HATE* that it sounds like Carol & Vicki.... that's just wrong!

  19. Carol and Vicki are the only people that make any sense. I cannot even think of any other variety shows with female leads that fit the Classic/Legendary description. The Carol Burnett Show was an all time great. Too bad they ladies cannot get along. Life is short.

  20. Can't be laverne and shirley because theirs was not a variety show.

  21. Oh, I thought Tina Fey and Amy Poehler (SNL).

  22. How bout Lucy and Carol Brunett?
