Tamra Barney Is Engaged

The only reason I am writing this is because I rarely write about the OC Housewives and they were the original ones. Once upon a time there was only one Housewives show. Now they are talking about having their own network which would be 24/7 housewives. Not just from the US, but the Vancouver one and the ones from all over the world. Anyway, Tamra Barney is supposedly engaged to her boyfriend of 2 years and is living with him which is odd considering last night she said she would not move in with him without a commitment. Now, is an engagement ring a commitment? It is a guy spending bucks but is it a commitment? It is a promise of a commitment at some point down the road, but I guess that was good enough for Tamra.

  2. I can't stand Tamra. She is such an awful person with an ugly heart.

  3. An older person was once talking to me about changing morality and bemoaned the loose sexual mores today. I mentioned the fact that historical records, comparing marriage dates to subsequent birth dates, showed that a large percentage of of our grannies were pregnant when they said I Do. His response was that in the 30s and 40s a girl was immoral if she slept with her boyfriend but it was winked at if a bride-to-be got pregnant by her fiancee (i.e. pre-martial sex had less stigma if it was post-engagement sex). I don't know how this relates to RHOC but, in answer to Enty's question, yes there was a time in America when engagements did represent commitment.

  4. She's not engaged to the guy in that photo, is she? Cuz he has a bad case of the Gay Face.

  5. I like Eddy. So she's the one who was ring shopping in Costco??? That was my guess.

They'll be fine as long as Tamra doesn't put the hands of other men on her lady parts again.

  7. An engagement is a commitment. It's a promise to get married.

  8. He's a sweetheart and very sexay too! Costco has some nice diamonds; there's nothing wrong with getting a deal.

I just hope she can keep her big mouth shut and not muck it up.

  9. I love all of the Real Housewives shows and since this guy came on the scene all that's gone through my mind is GAY GAY GAY! lol

I'm sorry but he does not come across as a straight man to me... at all! Being that all of my best friends since high school have been gay men I'm pretty good at spotting a gay/straight man and this guy just screams downlow to me. Maybe I'm wrong and he's metrosexual but I think Tamra's signing herself for some heartbreak here. I feel like he's another Slade looking for some time in the limelight.

  11. I find none of the OC housewives very likeable.

I find there something a little off about Eddie, too, although I don't know if I could say he has wife killer potential. ;)

  12. I find this woman so depressing...she seemed okay (superficially) with her husband and kids in the beginning. She seems to have lost the plot entirely. Awful.

  13. I hope it's a long engagement. Supposedly Simon (her ex) is already living with a woman, and just last week (on the show-I think it is 6 months back in "real" time) she was saying how she wanted to be on her own and not move in with Eddie.

    Costco has very nice diamonds!!

  14. My boyfriend was passing through the room the other day as I watched Real Housewives and he saw Eddy and said, "What is she doing with that stupid?" I said she was dating him, and he said, "Of course not. He's gay. Look at him." I laughed after he left the room because, like, we've all been uneasily certain that he's gay, no? And yet maybe not?

Worse, I have always liked Tamra, and now that she's friendly with Gretchen, I am 100% on Team Tamra.
