Scarlett Johannson Admits She Dated Sean Penn

Scarlett Johannson is the reason why there are gossip magazines and sites. She gave an interview this month to Vogue and finally admitted she dated Sean Penn. What was that? Like a year ago. Oh, and then she says in the interview that they saw each other but did not know how to classify it. Hmm, let me go ahead and go out on a limb for you Scarlett and classify it. You thought it would be love and he thought it would be great to spend a couple of weeks having sex with you. You might think that Sean was looking at it seriously too but remember how Scarlett said they were making plans for her to go to Haiti with him and do all these things together and blah blah blah. Hey, after a couple of sex trips together he had enough and moved on. He is not a nice guy but Scarlett says he is amazing in the interview. I also get the feeling in the interview that she is the one who dumped Ryan or they got into some kind of fight about kids. She does not mention the word kid, but she hints that she spent a lot of time searching for her next movie and I got the feeling she had purposely taken some kind of break and then Ryan kind of backed out of that plan.

  1. It must be heartbreaking to go through a divorce.

  2. I really don't like her. I tried to like her over the years, she has been attached to several movies I wanted to see...but she just isn't that great. Her least annoying movie to me was Lost in Translation, but honestly I think the rest of the cast just sorta made up for her.

Than again, I might just be envious. ;)

  3. If she thought it would be love with a man such as him, then she really isn't very bright. I mean, really... Sean Penn?!

BigMama, I agree. I can't tolerate her. She's a terrible actress, and seems so self-satisfied my hand itches to slap her. Every time I see a commercial for The Avengers, I moan about how her lameness is just going to ruin what should be a kick-ass movie.

Wasn't there some scuttlebutt back in the day, in which Robert Redford said he'd never work with her again after The Horse Whisperer because she was so insufferable even then, when she was, like, 12?

  5. Duh, how many photo's of them together...
    I find her strange...

  6. When people say she's a great actress they mean to say that she has nice tits.

Her delivery falls flat, she delivers her lines in monotone. What kills me is her smug pose, she does the exact same pose, standing pigeon-toed with her hand on her hip, doing her best sexy face.

  7. She is a ridiculously bad actress, but I still like her.

  10. I've liked her in some movies I've seen, Vicki Christina and the one with Dennis Quaid, was it Good Company?

Did Redford really say that about her? Hmmmm. If he did, I'd trust him. I know that she was ostrasized during the filming of Lost in Translation.

  11. I've always thought she is amazingly beautiful and I've always liked her just fine myself. She does seem to get on a lot of people's nerves around here though. LOL

  12. Her acting talent peaked in Ghost World.

  13. So the implication is that they were going to have kids, and then Ryan said no? And then she left him?

My sympathies if that happened, otherwise I'll keep my opinion that they're both too self-centered for longterm commitment. But I like her less.

  14. I read that she used to cook dinner for him and wait but then he'd never come home, that they were hardly together more because of him. It sounded like she did make time for him but for nothing.

  15. I like her better than the mumbler...

  16. I'm getting so sick of her...its so obvious she has this huge ego, and nothing disgusts me more than that! (Despite the fact that Hollywood is chock full of inflated egos). I do, however, like that she is not anorexic-looking. But what really grinded my gears about her was when she said if a guy doesn't want to sleep w/her it MUST mean he is gay. Get over yourself, ScarJo!

  17. I didn't realize she was considered such a lousy actress. She did receive mad props and won a Tony for an Arthur Miller play-- tough stuff.

  18. @mango yeah there has been much buzz about the Tony's kissing Hollywoood ass for the last few years. It's pretty much a given that unless they really suck they will be nominated. Jennifer Lopez would probebly win a Tony if she were in a play.

Mango, Hollywood types often win awards when they do Broadway, whether they deserve it or not. I think the Tony voters believe it makes them seem as popular as Hollywood when this happens, and it also gets the Tonys, and Broadway in general, more press coverage. Personally, I put ScarJo's Tony on the same level as Shakespeare In Love's Best Picture Oscar ... as in, a triumph of marketing over actual worth.

If you really want to see how awful her "acting" abilities are, watch Girl with a Pearl Earring. She is laughably bad compared to her co-stars Colin Firth, Tom Wilkinson, and Cillian Murphy. She should have been embarrassed.

  20. I guess artists like to romanticize the fact they were just a fuck buddy.

  21. Saw her on a movie set in which she was co-starring. She would not talk to anyone, and literally followed the director like a puppy dog everywhere. I imagined she was asking for 'her motivation in the scene'. She was not nice and needy. The actress who was warm and congenial to all (and I mean all of the crew) was Laura Linney. Those with real talent are secure in their work. I guess the intuition from the commenter's is very accurate.

  22. @flip - I've heard the same negative comments about Scar from someone who was on the set of the movie, "He's Just Not That Into You". She's not friendly or approachable.

She did ok in Match Point, but that's it. She's not a strong actress at all - WAY overrated.

  23. And how on earth would you know what Sean Penn's intentions towards Scarlett were? Projecting much?

    ReplyDelete
  24. all that is fine and all, but more importantly, her tits are real.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Well, thanks for the inside tip about her on set. If she's insecure, I've got no problem with her, and shyness can come across as bitchy. But lack of approachability? Get over yourself!

  26. That last big made me sad. Trying for a baby seems so exciting but stressful.

  27. when you don't spend time with your partner, your relation doesn't work and Reynolds and she never were together more than 3 months during their marriage

and for her relation with Penn, they were too different

  28. Is anyone else kinda remembering a blind about an actress getting beaten up by an A-lister or am I imagining it?

    ReplyDelete
  29. She married a gay guy she knew was gay and wants us to feel bad for her?

    ReplyDelete
  30. RR is gay? Please say it's not so.. Not surprising that Laura Linney is sweet. She so seems it and she's just an amazing actress. And that my friends is how you have a career in H'wood. Funny that Flip said she followed around the director. If she got hired twice by woody I would suspect it was for that very reason.
