Tori Spelling Says She Was Shocked To Get Pregnant

Apparently Tori Spelling is just like the rest of us, which is to say shocked she got pregnant so quickly after giving birth. Apparently she got pregnant when her newborn had just hit one month old. As Tori said, "'I can dispel the old wives’ tale that you can’t get pregnant while you’re breastfeeding."

She also said on Today that this was the second biggest shock in her life. I thought she was going to say the first biggest shock was finding out someone had actually wanted to marry Dean before, but it turns out that was not it. If you thought her biggest shock was that she thought she was going to win an Emmy for her work on Mother May I Sleep With Danger, you would also be wrong. Turns out the biggest shock was when Hattie was born because they thought Hattie was going to be a boy.

Well, surely she knows what causes it?

  6. What is the surprise! She had unprotected sex with her husband and got pregnant.

  7. That s not good for her body. There is a reason that doctors say to wait. Oh well, I am sure everything will be fine in celebrityland.

  8. Irish twins. Mazel Tov.

  9. Hattie? As if it isn't bad enough to have Dean and Tori as your parents, that poor baby is stuck with the fucking name Hattie?

  10. Happened to a friend of mine too! Her girls are 10 1/2 months apart! Twins the hard way, lol. I think shes handling it well.

  11. Hopefully the baby won't have her chin.

  12. I think you give her too much grief. I like the woman and I'm terribly loathsome of full-on breeders.

  13. ^^What TempyGrape said. She seems to adore motherhood, so who better to have four kids? Personally, *I* think that Dean is a smarmy douche, but I'm not the one who has to be married to and co-parent with him. If she's happy, great. All the Tori Spelling jokes that have gone around for 20 years have always seemed cruel to me; she seems like a sweet person who makes the best of what talents she's got.

  14. I like her and all, but 4 c-sections in a little over 5 years...yikes!!! Seems super dangerous.

  15. every time i see anything about them i am reminded of his last wife. i don't like either of these 2. i will say they totally dodged the fug bullet with the kids. guess you never know with genes.

  16. Ok, I have to say that, although I'm no Tori and Dean fan, that's a way cute birthday party they're throwing, and unlike soooo many others I've seen, appears to be done to the specifications of the birthday kid, not the parents. High-end kids' parties are all completely coordinated, catered, and decidedly non-kid friendly these days. Etsy meets Martha Stewart in hell kind of affairs.

And the costumes on the kids - I see SpongeBob, Sandy Cheeks, and baby Plankton - awesome!

So I guess I'm conceding that they appear to be doing something right in the parenting department.

  17. I'm not a Tori hater. I'm happy for her and she seems more real and approachable than most.

Crap, I know several mom friends that have had accidents and ended up with "irish twins". It happens, it called Life.

    I wish them the best.

  18. I sort of like Tori. I've seen her show (years ago) and as far as beneficiaries of extreme Hollywood nepotism go, she is probably the least noxious. I think she has adorable kids and she seems like decent human being.

  19. I like them on their show--but the bottom line is she has plenty of help with the kids and they will all be fine but didn't they move into a smaller house last season? Bet that will need to change now.

  20. Dean's "get me out of here" look is priceless.

  21. I approve of anything Spongebob related, so this pic is obviously amazing and awesome to me :)

Yeah, way to wait until your doctor approved of you getting back at it guys, eye roll.

I actually DO like Tori (and Dean appears devoted and I've seen parts of his Lifetime movies and he aint THAT good an actor).
I'm sure by now my stance on 4 kids for anybody, let alone the Tori and Dean clan, is apparent. But eh, whatevs, hopefully she'll let her body heal for several years before expanding her giant family any more.

  22. OK dumdum Tori, that myth about getting pregnant while breastfeeding was dispelled about 30 years ago...I don't think you are offering any big bombshell here...but I do like the daft girl.

  23. I understand how ultrasound can show Girl when it's Boy (the "indicator" is hiding at the moment), but how does an ultrasound show Boy when it's Girl? Something ELSE is there that looks like the "indicator"? Like what?

  24. You'd be amazed how many women still think you can't get pregnant if you're breastfeeding. There are TONS of women out there who believe this. They are idiots.

  25. Tori's desperate to keep Dean in the marriage hence the walking 2 legged trust-funds. Hang in there Dean, there's gotta be a pony in there somewhere=huge divorce settlement.

  26. Dean is dead in the eyes. He looks like a Walking Dead zombie.

I don't think Hattie's gender was the biggest shock of her life. That came after 90210 ended, and the job offers did not come rolling in. At the time, Tori was overheard saying "Do you think it's true what people are saying? I got to play Donna because of my dad? Oh no, what am I going to do???". She's still not over it.

  27. Those kids better thank their lucky stars that they favor dad.

  28. Medically-speaking, the odds of ovulating, regularly or at all, ARE lowered when breastfeeding. So it ain't a complete myth.

  29. I never liked her back in the day but I do think that she seems to genuinely enjoy being a mom...Ive not seen their show so it is interesting to me to see these conflicting comments about whether or not Dean is in it for reals. And I agree that this spongebob party looks cute and clever without being too over the top.

  30. I don't know why people think the grandkids are going to loosen Candy's purse strings? She seems like the kind to completely blow of Tori and her entire family and leave all her money toward the creation of a museum with all the art in her own image, or some shit like that.
