Dominic Monaghan Says Matthew Fox Beats Women Frequently

Dominic Monaghan was asked by one of his Twitter followers why he didn't encourage Matthew Fox to join Twitter. His reply? "He beats women. No thanks." He then said that Matthew's troubles are not an isolated incident and that he did so frequently. I think a guy who spent several years on a television show with Matthew would definitely be in a position to know. The fan who asked Dominic the question said she hoped Matthew would sue Dominic for defamation. Dominic then said you can't sue someone for telling the truth. This should have some interesting fall out. You should read the Tweets now before they go. My screen cap is not working. (Thanks Kerry)

Here is the fan's Twitter

  1. It sounds like she didn't get the answer she wanted or was expecting and got upset.

Was she completely unaware of multiple accusations over the years? Fox himself has repeatedly referred to himself as a "hot head." Is this surprising?

  2. Completely off topic, but was Madonna ever ruled out in the MV blind? There's an article on Cracked about artists ripping off other artists and it made me wonder.

  3. Well often enough on this site the commenters are up in arms about industry people protecting & covering for each other. I think this is pretty cool & Dominic has HUGE balls.

I suspect Matthew must have hurt someone he cares about.

  4. Madonna rips off other artists by making them give up 50% of their writing credit to her. She isn't a songwriter like she would like the world to think she is. But that is her voice, it is too mediocre to be anyone else's

God bless Dominic it is so nice when an actor is actually honest about who they work with.

Matthew's wife has been married to him since 1991. I can imagine what she has gone through with him.

  5. GO DOMINIC! I'm about to tweet him some support for outing that jerk's heinous behavior.

  6. Madonna's whole thing since the early 90s has been based on ripping off other artists. She finds a scene that she likes, picks a relevant producers, and "creates" from there. She takes credit for inventing the style. I think this really began with "Vogue."

Agree, Dominic has balls to put this pout there.

  7. NOT PENNY'S BOAT

(all I can think of when I see his face)

  8. Good job, Dominic! We need more brave souls (that also have the balls to tell people to get an education).

Re: Madonna did you guys not watch the golden globe speech? Of course she writes all her own stuff! She was compelled to!

But I do remember being pissed that she was trying to lay claim to the rave scene when "Frozen" came out.

  9. I can't decide whether that was brave or stupid. Hope he has some proof to back up his accusations.

  10. Wow Dominic , well done

    ReplyDelete
  11. @ sylmarillion, I'm sure Dominic wouldn't have said that unless he knows the women referred to would have his back if the need arose, and Matthew knows what the truth is, so my hunch is he will ignore the whole thing and hope it dies quickly.

  12. I always hated Charlie, but his death was one of the saddest.

I don't think DM has much to lose. He pretty much just picks up girls on twitter now.

  13. While I think it was somewhat in poor taste to air his (Fox's) dirty laundry like this, everyone has a right to say what they want and I think it was brave of him to NGAF and say what he said. The girl shouldn't be bitching at him since she did ask "why?". It will be taken down anyway.

  14. I just fell in love with Dominic a little bit.

  15. When Fox was arrested for the most recent DUI, I remember thinking his behavior is probably far worse than we know but he lives in the middle of Oregon where his behavior can fly under the radar more easily.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Would he really have to take down his comments and defend himself? Fox's arrest for punching that female bus driver went completely public, so he is legitimately not lying right? There is at least one on books incident of Fix hitting a woman to protect him from fall out. Not that these tiwidiots believe it...

  17. Damn enty! I emailed this to you less than an hour ago!! Yes folks, instead of working I was reading charlies tweets and found this! Bravo Dom!

    ReplyDelete
  18. @angel, I think so too. If we hear nothing more about it from Matthew's camp, we'll know it's all true.

    ReplyDelete
  19. And the female fan thinks beating people is excusable if you like the guy. Her response:

"I KNOW IT WAS WRONG BUT WHAT?! WHAT ABOUT ALL THOSE GOOD TIMES YOU HAD TOGETHER?!"

    ReplyDelete
  20. Go Dominic!

I could not stand Jack on Lost, probably because I never did like Matthew Fox. He just always seemed like a prick to me, as far back as Party of Five.

  21. Thank you, Dom. RDJ is proud of you.

  22. Soo Zee - I agree. I was WTF? Dominic is calling a guy out for being despicable and the fan is acting like Dom's the bad guy here? And if someone is a violent schmuck, then they should be called on it by *EVERYONE* who knows. Good for Dom for outting it. I applaud him.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Soo zee, was that really her response? She needs to go hang out with Chris Brown's defenders.

  24. I just read that chick's twitter adn I want to bleach my eyes out

    Holy hell, she is nuts

    ReplyDelete
  25. Those superfans are idiots. They fall for a character, not the man.
I get why people are saying he shouldn't have posted that, but you know he must have his reasons. If Matthew has a reputation for the little we know, there must be a lot that people closer to him do know.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I am very disappointed in this. I loved Lost and I want nothing to taint that. Fuck you, Jack for being an asshole IRL.

    ReplyDelete
  27. @Vicki Cupper Yes, I couldn't believe it, either! Agree that that's the mentality of the Chris Brown defenders.

    ReplyDelete
  28. @ Vicki...Yes. She actually had to take voice lessons when she played the part of Avita...and has put out many albums. I think MV was only able to put out about 5 albums and nothing since.

Also...Madonna's speaking and singing voice are one in the same. You can tell it's her. I just know with her earlier recordings, they sped her voice up. Don't know why, but they did. She even talked about it in an interview one time.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Following Dominic now on Twitter just on the basis of his tweet and his enormous balls. So great that he didn't hesitate to call that prick out for his behavior.

  30. What was the blind item a few weeks ago where Fox was a big guess for many of the commenters? Think it had something to do with Jennifer Love Hewitt and her issues.

    ReplyDelete
  31. sjgmoney- I think it was that Fox and Scott Wolf beat up some guy that assaulted her, but I didn't think the three fit for the blind.

    ReplyDelete
  32. She's a troll looking to start shit and get attention and twitter followers. Just ignore her and follow DM bc Charlie was awesome and DM tweets cool stuff about animals

  33. This comment has been removed by the author.

  34. Yay for Dominic...a guy who is not afraid to speak the truth!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'm with you @ChopChop.
    and also,
Charlie dying was my favorite episode.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Good for DM! I just fell in love with him a little bit; kudos for having the nads to say the truth. I HATE that this is now putting a stain on my Lost memories, but fuck that and fuck MF. He needs to be held accountable for these actions, if it's true.

    ReplyDelete
  37. good for DM - abuse is abuse is abuse, no amount of money, role in the community or fame should protect these violent morons. More people should take the high road and call out these thugs and expose them, protecting potiential victims

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'm glad he tweeted that. He's speaking the truth and based on the crap we've seen on this blog in the last few months, we need a hell of lot more people with the same courage as DM. Wonder if he's ever met Dan Schneider?

All it takes for evil to prevail is for good men to stand by and do nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  39. @katsm0711 I don't think she's a troll, she genuinely just wanted to know. I think she got upset because she was a big Matthew Fox fan and didn't want to believe that what Dom was saying was true.
@Grey I don't think you're making any sense, if you actually did read her twitter you would have seen that she apologized to Dom, and that she never meant for it to get out of hand the way it did.
That being said I agree 100% with Dom, and I don't think he would say something like this without being sure about it.

  40. Madonna's early recordings were sped up to make her sound younger. She was already mid-20's when her first two albums came out, but they had to sell her to teen girls. They thought her raspiness sounded 'old', and she was competing with a big-voiced & high-pitched Cyndi Lauper at the time.

The album "True Blue" was named because it was her real voice. Well, no longer sped up. She had enough clout by her third album to do her music more her way.

They still sweetened her voice though, obviously.

imo, Madonna stopped being able to create a good song when she got so big, she lost touch with the real world. That, and surrounding yourself with paid 'yes men', can certainly make you have to steal ideas.

  41. Madonna takes influences from many places, but I don't ever recall her ever attempting to claim to invent vogueing. She did bring it to the masses who weren't familiar with NY ballroom culture, but I think if anything people from Bumbfuck might have thought she invented it though the claim never came from her.

  42. I noticed a tweet from Carlton Cruise! I will always remember him from Nash Bridges and Don Johnson.

  43. OMG how did I miss this, oh that's right because neither name rung a I give sh*t bell, until now.

Whomever this Dom is, I am in LOVE. And I don't know who this matthew fox is, the only fox I care about is Sa-sa-sa-sa Samantha FOXX

No seriously, this homeboy is awesome. Like Bob sang, The truth is an offence, but not a sin. Is he who laughs last, is he who wins." And truth speakers are hard to come by these days.

  44. I read through this superfan's twitter feed earlier today and she is indeed blinded by the character, not the person. His vagina punch was well documented, so this girl is just living in delusional world.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I just added Dominic on Twitter. So nice to see someone not willing to cover up for a famous ass.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I have adored Dominic since I first saw him on Hetty Wainthropp investigates. And this just makes me adore him even more. I love that he hasn't backed down and doesn't seem to give any bothers at all about the winds that may blow from the Fox camp.

    ReplyDelete
  47. @Lelaina Pierce are you saying you read through the girl "omggbecca"'s twitter? Because, if you actually did you would have seen that the majority of her tweets aren't even about LOST, or are just retweets. And do you know for a fact that she knew about him assaulting that women? Plus it must have been hard to hear that your favorite actor BEATS WOMEN! She must have been upset and tweeted without thinking, I could imagine if someone told me Dom did that I wouldn't believe it.

    ReplyDelete
  48. @Katie -
Yes, I actually did it and I stand by what I said about her.

Perhaps she didn't know about Fox's incident w/ the bus driver (or his other reports about having alcohol issues, etc.), but her reaction to what Dominic said was that of someone overly involved in a show and it's characters and not being able to separate the show from reality. She looked really young, so not a huge surprise.
P.S. Her twitter page is now gone.

    ReplyDelete
  49. @Lelaina Pierce Her twitter page isn't gone I literally just went to check it, she apologized to Dom and even said that she didn't mean any harm in her tweets. I agree that she over-reacted, but it was probably upsetting for her to hear that about Matthew Fox, especially from one of his co-stars who never showed any signs of disliking him.

  50. Charlie's death was always one of my happiest Lost memories. Now I feel kind of bad about that.

Admiring DM quite a lot rn. It's always nice to be able to say that after reading anything on this site.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I'm not shocked, because if a guy has no qualms about busting a woman in the face in public, just imagine what he'd be like in private.

Still, it's refreshing to hear a man openly disgusted by psychopathic women beaters.

    ReplyDelete
  52. wait, this Fox punched a woman in her vagina???

I'd give all the money I have to take a nail studded baseball bat to his nuts.

  53. @Vicki Cupper, MV is not Madonna. As for the guesses of Regina Richards being S, the events Enty spoke of don't fit, as they were friends in the early 80's, both working at The Music Building in NYC. If anything, Madonna copied Regina's singing style (which had changed significantly from when she sounded like Debbie Harry, imo, when she was "Regina Richards and the Red Hot"). I adore Madonna, and she has written many great pop songs, but I also know she's bullied her way to a songwriting credit by changing a few lines. There are 2 articles from 1986 (that I can't seem to post the links to), chronicling her growing frustration over the Madonna comparison's. One from the LA Times, and another from the Chicago Tribune. As for the Cracked article, it links to a lunatic's page. Aisha has been suing Madonna for 15 years, for "hacking" into her computer, stealing her songs, haha! Time for a tin foil helmet...

  54. P.S. sorry for the novel length post! And my guesses are still (revealed in the 1st post) Ashlee/ Papa Joe, Britney, or JLo (b/ I'm sure she wouldn't be upset over Ashanti or Christine Milian's looks, can't be either). So maybe it wouldn't be as surprising as Whitney or Mariah, but they all sold millions of CD's and DL's...

  55. ok seriously, my roommate does not understand why this took balls to come out and say. He doesn't understand who this could piss off other than Matthew Fox.

This is also coming from the guy who thought that coming out of the closet couldn't hurt anyones career anymore because NOBODY cares about anyone being gay anymore.

I am so glad that DM made these remarks. I think more people should talk about abuse if they know about it. I was abused by my last boyfriend, and yeah, the current roommate knew about it. Did he do anything to help? NO. Yes, I agree that you have to let someone hit rock bottom, but I was at a total disadvantage. I have a terminal illness, and I was on self destruct mode at the cost of my family's trust and my marriage.
And now my family is not taking the stockholm syndrome defense. =\ I swear the fucker had me drugged. I didn't get out of bed for 3 months.

    /bitter (sorry)

    ReplyDelete
  56. @Frances Parker, I'm so sorry. It always seems physical abuse comes about, after the scumbag has dealt out a substantial amount of psychological abuse. And I truly believe, those people see when someone is traumatized or broken down, and prey on it.

    ReplyDelete
  57. @Katie - Yea, I don't know why it didn't pull up when I went to re-read. You are right and I saw the rest of her later tweets (I had looked at it earlier in the day, before she started getting a lot of tweets about her response).

    ReplyDelete
  58. I don't want to sound bitchy but I never understood what Evangeline Lily saw in DM when they dated. Now I get it. He sounds like a decent guy. (I was wondering if this maybe ties in with the blind which seemed to be about Jennifer Love Hewitt in Party of Five era?)
