Kelly Rutherford Sued By PI

When Kelly Rutherford was going through her divorce, she hired a private investigator. Well, the divorce and the spying was way back in 2010, but the private investigator still hasn't been paid and is suing Kelly for about $60K. It has been awhile since I thought about that case, but not Kelly. I hear some crazy things about her. She is quite the controlling person. I'm not sure exactly how anyone stays with her whether they be a boyfriend or just a friend. I also question naming your kid Hermes. Presumably when she has another child she will name them Birkin?

  5. Chanel would have been a better choice with Hermes.

  6. Helena Grace and Hermés Gustaf Daniel. Not too pretentious.

  7. Wasn't Kelly the top answer for the actress who hate like grilled chicken every night or something?

  8. I loved her in Melrose Place, so I guess I have fallen guilty to equating an acting role, with the real person.

  9. Isn't she dating her TV husband Rufus? I can't stand his character.

  10. @Rose I do believe she dated Matthew Settle who plays Rufus...and man, I am not familiar with P.I. pay scales but 60k seems like an awful lot of spying.

  11. IIRC that divorce was VERY acrimonius...A ton of he said/she said stuff

  12. I also question Hermes for a child's name.

Reminds me of Sofia Vergera and her ridiculously naming her son Manolo.
    Really?
    Idiot

  13. at least sofia had he excuse of being really young when she came up with that name.

i had a PI during my disso. you paid up front, and they would NOT do any work once the money ran out. on one occasion i had to run and get money to them through a friend, because they were out, and my ex was running around. i was at the hospital with a family member and it was NOT a good time to have to worry about funds. i changed PI's shortly after that, but once again; money upfront.

  14. Manolo is a spanish name so what does youth have to do with it? And Hermes was a persons name before it was a bag, same with Birkin, so what's the big deal?

  15. Yes Monolo is popular in South America as a names and Hermes is a Greek God is he not? Helena fits with the theme.

  16. @Sherry, apparently today I'm just going to follow you around and agree with you. I like Helena & Hermes, even if Hermes sounds a bit pretentious. It's better than MAXWELL F-CKING DREW.

I still think she (Kelly R.) seems a bit uptight and freaky, the type to drop 60K on a private detective.

  19. Wow some people should pick up a real book instead of Vogue for a change...

You'll see names like Hermes - a Greek god

Manolo is a proper name, a spanish name similar to Manuel. The shoe guy gasp actually used his full name when naming his shoes. Oh the horror

  21. It is the connotation behind names like Hermes and Manolo that I was getting at as being dumb. Obviously everything originated somewhere and perhaps Sofia can get a free pass for naming her child something before Manolo enjoyed the household name recognition it has today (thanks to sex and the city) but regardless, what people associate the name with NOW is what's under regard here. duh.

Hermes is a perfectly fine name, has a rich history. But odds are she named her child after something rich and expensively ridiculous as an hermes item, and thus her choices are up for questioning.

  22. Case in point: how many average people knew there was an actress named Jane behind the Birkin bags?

    ReplyDelete
  23. And the Birkin was named after Jane Birkin a singer and actress after meeting Hermes executive Dumas on a plane. She accidentally spilt all her stuff out of her bag and complained to him her difficulty in finding a large leather bag she liked. Impressed by her beauty and verve he redesigned one of their older bags and named it after her.

In 1956 the company renamed one of their designs By calling it the Kelly. This was to honor Grace Kelly who used one to shield her baby bump from the press.

    Sorry to ramble...

  24. Jasmine I see your point but Sofia speaks Spanish is it not normal for her to have a common Spanish name for her child??

  25. Astro- I concur but it still doesnt stop me from thinking of him as a walking shoe whenever she talks about him ;-P

  28. I think of the Greek god when I think Hermes, but maybe she should have gone Roman with Mercury. Is she Greek? Seems she was going with a theme by naming her daughter "Helena."

I do understand the arguement that these names have been hijacked by designers. I remember as a kid be shocked by the names "Mercedes" and "Porsche." I thought they were only cars, but they are actual names.
