Linda Hogan Splits With Boyfriend

Usually in the headline, I would probably put the name of the other person Linda Hogan is splitting with but do you think you will ever hear the name Charley Hill again? I don't think so. So, after four years and a couple of reality shows, Linda has split with her boyfriend. I have to admit I never thought they would last four years. That seems to be a pretty good accomplishment especially considering he was 19 when they started dating and she was 48. He was fresh out of high school and being Brooke and Nick's bff and Linda was fresh off a marriage to a guy who abused her.

Linda and Charley have been in that celebrity counseling show which is still airing but I guess we all know the outcome now don't we? Linda said the counseling was great. I thought it was supposed to save the relationship, not end it.

  1. I think the counseling show was good idea for them because it made them focus on the truth they ultimately he was too young and was entitled to have kids and Linda had been there and done that. Another "couple" on the show was DMX and his wife. The counseling help them to have better communication and helped his wife to ask for a divorce and have the courage to speak up for what she wanted. I think this show was a helluva better than Dr. Drew's. The therapist in this show gave very good advice unlike Dr.javascript:void(0) Drew.

  2. I wish I had never heard of any of the Hogans, aside from Hulk. It seems like that reality show ruined their lives. I honestly don't care about any of their personal lives and it seems like they gave up a happy (or at least somewhat functional) home life for a shot at reality show "fame". Frankly, it's a good cautionary tale of what seeking stardom can do to your life. A few hours of tv shows and a bit here and there in the tabloids, in exchange for everyone knowing your dirty business? No thanks.

  3. poor Charlie now he has to go out and get an actual job to support himself.

Agree with you @ElanorRigby, be careful what you wish for indeed.

  4. Well, the beginning of the show makes it clear that the counseling was to ultimately figure out if the relationship was worth saving and to what extent it should continue. I was surprised at how insightful the professionals on the show were. The cast was almost too frustrating to watch, as they are mostly typical reality stars, but the DMX/wife relationship was a surprising and poignant highlight of the season.

  6. Maja, it's called Couples Therapy on VH1. Hence the reality crop they use, lol!

  7. DMX is an animal abuser and should be murdered. I wouldn't watch anything with him on it.

  8. I agree with Eleanor also. They seemed fairly normal way back when their "reality career" started. Very sad.

  12. @Sherry - I actually know one couple that came out of counseling still married - impressive, huh? They have a special needs child, and actually got their shit together for their kids' sake. Proof that, while rare, it can be done!

  14. My parents have been married for 40 years, Sherry. They went to therapy during a rough spot.

Also, @anita_mark, you made me laugh so hard.

  15. I'm actually surprised by this. I thought for sure he'd hang in until they married and he could get a nice cut of her divorce settlement.

  16. Count me as one of those that did counseling and it didn't work. Then again I hated him and let him know it during the last counseling session. Go figure!

  17. It's so funny how her and Hulk both rebounded with younger versions of each other.

  19. Temp Grade- yeah, I dont know how I didnt hear about it before regarding DMX and his horrid treatement of animals but I recently found this out and am pissed.

Men that follow in the footsteps of the Chris Brown and Michael Vick types should have to wear a sign or something, declaring their inhumanity and dickheadedness.

  20. ^Shit, seriously!? I'm gonna have to take him off my playlists. Grrr. I haven't heard about the abuse? Off to Google.

Kathy Griffin just talked about this counseling show on her talk show last week. She said Vienna and Casey/Kermit were on it, though, so I'm a hafta pass on it.
