Third John Travolta Accuser Steps Forward - Says John Offered Him $12K For Sex

We finally have an accuser who has gone public. Fabian Zanzi, who is a cruise ship worker says that John Travolta offered him $12K for sex. That is a whole lot of money for sex. I think when you get rich you lose all sense of what sex is worth and you throw out numbers you think will make the other person do what you want. At the opposite end of the spectrum I think the Secret Service agent only offering $31 was ridiculous and he deserved what he got.

Back in 2009, Travolta was on the cruise ship where Fabian worked and came up to him and took off his robe and was naked and Fabian said that Travolta wanted Fabian to give him a massage. Then when Fabian said no, John offered him $12K for sex. Fabian has filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Travolta.

    1. John is actually a really nice person. Someone you would like to have in your life as a friend or whatever else. This continuous stifling of his true sexuality is ruining the ability to see that. Now he sounds like he has turned pervy, which wasn't like him. It's sad to think that this great guy really did sell his soul. I mean who gives a flying F who he wants to sleep with!!!!!!!

    2. The people he propositions who don't wanna sleep w him, that's who!

  2. Seems the momentum against John is building daily. Wonder how many other dudes over the years hes been inappropriate with. Its one thing to be gay and in the closet. Which is hard enough. But to be a complete lecherous pig and grope someone against their will makes you a scumbag

  3. Starting to look like John left a looong trail of people he rubbed the wrong way, pun intended.

  4. This is like Hanukkah. For the next eight days a new guy will show up.

I'm also jealous of your user name - I'm a strawberry girl, too :-).

  7. @strawberrygirl Hilarious!!! I agree. I think its going to be more than 8 days tho and more than 8 men definitely.
Yesterday i read so many articles about how most of the industry knows hes gay and just accepted it and also that hes in the closet. so sad.

  10. What a witty group this morning. More coffee, please.

I think JT was getting lazy about covering his tracks and was lacking discretion. Too many are coming forward.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Like all types of deviant behavior, one continues the same m.o. cause they can get away with it, until the day he/she is finally caught.

JT has a well-known reputation in LA for his proclivities- it's a wonder that Oprah catered to him so much on her show (and she did like TC as well). The National Enquirer even had cover stories back in the early 90s about JT's homosexual behavior.

The public sees only what it wants to see.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I was just wondering what Oprah is going to say about all this...if anything.

They even ran a story on this on our local nightly news last night.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I think he wants out of CoS and out of the closet. But it does not excuse the predatory behavior.

    ReplyDelete
  14. And this guy got FIRED after he reported it. He was confined to his quarters after reporting it to his supervisors and later fired. That's the problem with these stories. Travolta put them in the position of saying yes or potentially losing their jobs.

  15. Thanks for the insight Elizabeth. Explains a lot.

  16. I feel like I can hear the rumble of the stampede that is about to be let loose.

  17. I probably just shouldn't comment, but blah blah blah blah blah blah.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I think this one has clear potential for damages. This guy wasn't even a masseuse. He was supposed to cater to VIPs on the ship and Travolta propositioned him.

Travolta being gay and closeted is no issue at all, he's certainly not obligated to come out. But for him to use his celebrity as a way to get sexual favors or the victim suffers the consequences, that's where I think this is going to cost him money.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I'd have sex with John Travolta for twelve grand. Too bad I'm a girl! *L*

    ReplyDelete
  20. I'm totally in Fabian's corner but think he's putting the cart before the horse. Why isn't he also suing the cruise line that fired him, or is he?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Yeah, a lot of people think this is about Travolta being gay and living a closeted lifestyle with an arranged-for-the-public marriage of convenience. That's HIS business (and his wife's)

This is about harassment and assault.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I think the man is just plain tired of the charade ....

    ReplyDelete
  23. This guy got fired after complaining? Wow. He should be suing the cruise line as well.

    ReplyDelete
  24. angel, I wouldn't be surprised, now that this has come out, if he doesn't also sue the cruise lines. At the time, it was probably his word against the famous actor, John Travolta. Travolta has been doing this for what, decades, and it took this long. The cruise line probably said your word against his, he's famous and you're not.

  25. Does anyone else think JT is Toothy Tile?
He must have done something to seriously piss off the CO$ for them to let things get this far out o hand. Or maybe they are making an example of him somehow.

    ReplyDelete
  26. This is like a dam bursting. They attorney representing the first two said he has been inundated by calls with similar stories. But look how fast the second and third cases came out after the first. The second has all kinds of support because it was a hotel where the employee still works, everyone knew about it, there are emails, etc. And this one where he actually lost his job. They must have read the first case and dialed the phone within minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  27. John needs to just bend over and surrender!

    ReplyDelete
  28. This sh!t is about to get real and it's about time.
JT's notorious rep has been around for some time and he's long overdue to face up to the consequences of his lecherous (not to mention criminal) behaviour!

    ReplyDelete
  29. @ N9 - No, toothy is Cruise. But I do think CO$ is behind this. I think JT wants to come out, and CO$ is going to make it very painful and embarrassing for him.

@ Urban - yes, it pains me to say that JT, whom I really like, is a lech...

    ReplyDelete
  30. I can't wait for the next one to come out. It brings back the days of Tiger's hoes and who would be next. I'm guessing final count to be around 36!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Toothy is not Cruise. Toothy is 100 percent Jake Gyllenhaal. Always has been always will be.

I'm still shocked that this story is still only coming out now. Back when I lived in WeHo this was the worst kept secret in Hollywood. Everyone knew about John Travolta. Everyone. There are just so many celebrities that people in LA have always known are gay. Vin Diesel. Wentworth Miller. etc. (And no, not outing them...all you need to do is google their names to see the tons of stories about them and others)

You would think with the huge rep that Travolta had for this kind of stuff that someone would have come forward a decade ago.

    ReplyDelete
  32. @Elizabeth, makes sense. I think Travolta carried on so long without regard for consequences precisely because it is so hard to prove. That and because filing a sexual harassment lawsuit is typically regarded as almost exclusively a female activity.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Clarification: Travolta is Seymour plow me more or something and Cruise is Fey Oiled Tush and Jake Gylenhaal is Toothy. Or at least that's the general consensus.

Also, I texted my hubby at work this morning to say "told ya so" about Travolta being gay. He never believes me when I tell him the celebrity gossip. And yeah this isn't about a closeted man, but about someone harassing people. No one should have someone making unwanted inappropriate advances and then be punished for speaking out about it. I think it's about time people started speaking out. Hopefully because this guy decided to give a name and face to his claim, more people will have the courage to speak out.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I stand corrected!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Why did it take the guy 3 years to file suit? He didn't feel harrassed for 3 years but now he's seeing dollar signs.
Of course Travolta is gay, duh....he isn't very smart in his trolling, though.

    ReplyDelete
  36. My gbf asked why JT needs to PAY for pump/hump. He's not aesthetically challenged only follically. I imagine there HAS to be at least One person who would mercy bonk him

    ReplyDelete
  37. @Jeannies, I can relate. Cases like this always have a hurdle to clear in my mind due to the number of unscrupulous people who wouldn't hesitate to make a mountain out of a molehill if they believed they stood a chance of fleecing someone famous or wealthy. This guy strikes me as credible though, and not being a Craigslist masseuse nor selling his story for money are big pluses in his favor.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Since there's money to be had from the tabloids, they will keep coming out of the woodwork now.

If even half of this is true, he deserves everything he gets.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Travolta obviously got off on paying for sex with strangers. This is more disturbing than him being gay. At least he likes em of age, more than you can say for a lot of H-wood

    ReplyDelete
  40. @Maja...you and me both!

    ReplyDelete
  41. I think guy #3 is coming forward now because people will now tend to believe him.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I've thought a lot about this case - which clearly says something about how much time I have on my hands! - but it reminds me of something that Joan Collins once said, which to paraphrase was something like "Being beautiful and getting older is like being rich and getting slowly poorer."

Travolta in his prime was absolutely **scortching** hot - my 7 year old watches "Grease" on a regular basis and falls in love every time. He was beautiful in "Saturday Night Fever" as well. In the early 80s, he could have probably had anyone he wanted, male or female.

But he got older, and as other posters have mentioned, he hasn't aged well. (I showed my daughter the CDAN photo from yesterday and her comment was, "He's ugly.") It must be very difficult with someone with what I would assumer to be a superstar-sized ego to accept the fact he's no longer sexually desirable.

I think on some level he thinks he IS still desirable and that any of these gentlemen would be lucky to have him. I'm sure he doesn't see himself as a predator.

It's rough to be an aging gay man. The New York Times recently ran an article about a beautiful gay man who became, after 40, a successful therapist that helped other gay men with aging - but in the end couldn't deal with himself and committed suicide. ( http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/01/fashion/the-life-and-death-of-the-therapist-bob-bergeron.html?pagewanted=all )

Just made me think about where John Travolta might be coming from, what it might be like to be in his shoes.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Nicely expressed Nutty. I really don't think Travolta has a 'criminal mind'. He's more clueless than anything, in a very immature and entitled kind of way. Still, besides his behavior being highly inappropriate, he's screwing people's lives up. If he can't stop himself, he needs to be stopped.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Himmmmmm said it was true yesterday therefore I believe. End of story.

    ReplyDelete
  45. This one smells bad too. Three years gone by and he didn't sue the cruise line, but he's sure as hell on board (heh) with extorting Travolta.

Anatomy of a grotesque litigation feeding frenzy: the first couple of John Does were bait/advertising so other potential John Does, and the raft of fakers, would know what lawyer to call to sign up for the free extortion money.

I assume that Travolta is gay, pays for sex, and is in weird religion. All these things may be true and it still does not justify this feeding frenzy. These men were not "assaulted" in any real sense of the word, and no I'm not being sexist and saying that men can't be assaulted. But if this particular gentleman was so assaulted, why didn't he sue the cruise line? If he'd made a claim I bet they would have paid him off.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Well said, Amartel.

I'm not ready to jump on the "sexual predator" train quite yet. Do I think he is gay? Yes. Do I think he is used to throwing money at dick and getting said dick? Yes. I need to see more concrete evidence before I can fully form an opinion on the entire situation. When Scientology is involved, I immediately suspect sinister motives and/or a cover up.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Nutty, what an interesting quote by Joan Collins and it makes sense.

I was struck by the descriptions several made about his appearance on that "You'll Never Spa in this Town Again site". They describe him as hugely overweight, balding with white hair. Compare that to the way he looked in Staying Alive. Probably hard on the ego.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I would guess this guy already tried to sue the cruise line and failed. Now he's jumping on the JT bandwagon hoping for big $$$.

    ReplyDelete
  49. @Armatel, good point. I'd love to see the guy's employment folder, there has to be other reasons for dismissal. I'm not saying it didn't happen, but the dismissal part gets me stuck.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Not all cruise lines have unionized workers as far as I can tell, foreign registered ships in particular. I found this site with a pretty scathing description of what workers potentially face. This stood out for me:

"They treat crewmen like an orange. They squeeze and squeeze and when there is nothing left, they throw away the peel," said Charles Lipcon, a Miami attorney who represents more than 100 crewmen annually.

    http://www.lipcon.com/news_archive/news_article3.php

Since Fabian Zanzi is a foreign name, it's possible he was disposable with no rights.

  51. @angel- interesting reading !

  52. If these men simply wanted money, they would have hired Gloria Allred.

    ReplyDelete
  53. No one has any idea how many men might have tried to report JT to authorities or try to sue or blackmail him. Because the COS would have hushed them up, paid them off, threatened their lives.

Sooo, there must be an entire industry of lawyers and PIs who have handled the details of John Travolta, Tom Cruise and other COS celebrety shenanigans that surely must be have been gossiped about in celeb legal circles.

Any good lawyer representing a client against COS celebrities would be very wise to do his homework and get the goods on lots of cases before going public so the lawyer representing these clients probably already knew of a lot of cases he could pull out to demonstrate the validity of his client's claims.

  56. I'm pretty much in agreement with what most of you have said, but one thing I find really interesting.

If CoS is behind this, like a lot of us suspect, don't you find it interesting that not ONE single CoS friend has come to his defense? Where's Kirstie Alley or Tom Cruise or Leah Remini or even his wife. Dead silence. So I think this speaks volumes, and pretty much validates what most of us have been thinking.

  57. How do we even know if this is true? Everyone seems to be taking it for granted that every story that comes out now is true. Maybe they are and maybe some or all are jumping on the bandwagon. I bet there will be some predatory allegations. I am going to need more proof...if this has been going on for years why didnt people come out before now? I dont put it past him or any celebrity to walk around with major feelings of entitlement and narcissism. I just hope, after all the crap he went through with his son, that he's not being subjected to frivolous public humiliation. Ugh, so much deviance coming to light in Hollywood. We all knew it was there but ugh to have to read about it every day. I hope, wow, what to hope for here...I hope whomever is truthful here does not get screwed over, no pun intended. That about covers it.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Because celebrities are self serving. Oprah used to love him, wanted him to fly her audience to Australia, had him on the show in his pilot uniform, then those pics came out of him kissing that guy on the steps of his plane and BAM she never mentioned him again.

  60. @coriander. I remember that story about the guy using girls as ashtrays. I don't think it is as bad as it sounds. I recently saw a picture of a guy using another guy as an table, and the ashtray was on his back. It wasn't a candid pic, but an arty type thing, so I am hoping that is what cigar guy was doing. Some people like human "furniture" in their roleplaying.

  64. Hmmm...if its all true, it seems like he cant control his sexual urges.

Too bad for someone like him who wishes to stay in the closet.

I mean, theres got to be numerous ways for a closted gay man to get gay sex on the sly without any worry about it coming out.

Idk, maybe this could be a good thing and if he comes out he could be happier.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I shouldn't make this comment, but the knowledge is of absolutely no use to me unless I share it with others...
Periodically in my work, I end up dealing with prostitutes (or "dancers"). Recently I found out that one such person (female) sold oral sex to a male for $98. $98, not $100, not $99, $98. I don't know how the negotiation went. I also did not try to find out such details as to whether or not it involved "protection," and if not, if there was a "finish" involved. But if anyone is looking for a benchmark on how much midwestern sex is worth, that's one price quote.

    ReplyDelete
  66. yeah and this guy got fired! Good for you Fabian to come forward. think of all of the men who would be tempted for that kind of money. Hopefully more men will come forward-and expose the corruption that is-JT
