Today's Blind Items - Shockers

#1 - I guess this movie actor is still A list. He has spent almost $1M of his money over the past few years to acquire movies of Jewish prisoners in concentration camps. Apparently he likes the ones involving sex and nudity the best.

#2 - This almost A list movie actor who got his break on one of the biggest shows in television history has been a vocal proponent of PETA. I wonder if they know about his monthly pig events where he personally kills and cooks a pig for guests.

  4. No. 1 is too obvious to be Mad Mel.

    No. 2 George Clooney?

    1. George Clooney had a pet pig at one point, so I doubt the second one is him.

I like the other guesses so far.

  5. Number 2 is definitely Woody Harrelson. No one else on the PETA list below matches at all

  6. 1. Mel?
    2. Uh, as long as he doesn't torture the pig, why is this gasp worthy? I'm sure the companies that kill pigs for supermarket meat are much more inhumane. It's like how my brother has chickens on his farm and they kill and eat them.
I personally can't kill a spider in my home even, but I don't get the OMGGGGGGG as long as this actor is humane about it.

  7. If # 2 is killing the pig humanely and in a sanitary manner, what's the issue here, even as a PETA supporter? I'm an animal lover myself, but I'm not a vegetarian and can only hope for the ethical slaughter of animals used for food. It's not as if he is secretly hunting big game and leaving the animals to suffer and the carcasses to rot or running a dog fighting ring.

#1 is probably meant to be Mel Gibson, but it sounds really far fetched.

  8. Can't be Mel for #1. He doesn't even believe the holocaust happened.

  10. Yes, there's nothing hotter than watching naked people being marched to the "showers."

    That is so foul.

    2. Woody Harrelson -- PETA loves him.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Woody Harrelson for 2, but I don't see a problem with that. Knowing how to prepare meat is a valuable skill and and the pig is probably killed in humane fashion, better than in a slaughterhouse. No. 1 is sick.

    ReplyDelete
  12. #2 isn't shocking in and of itself. It's the context (i.e. the lie).

That said, in light of #1, it doesn't really compare.

    ReplyDelete
  13. @Tara, I think Peta is anti eating meat too, right? I would imagine they would definitely be against killing a little piggy at a party...they are against wearing wool, I cant imagine pig killing would be ok.

And I agree that Mel is too easy for #1

    ReplyDelete
  14. I think you are confusing "Why would rational humans be upset about him humanely killing a pig?" with "Why would PETA be upset about him humanely killing a pig?" Although there are many rational people who may say they support PETA, the organization itself isn't known for its clear-headed, logical responses to things.

  16. #1 is absolutely beyond foul, but I believe it's true. I know someone personally who collects Nazi memorabilia, and it disgusts me beyond measure.

He has mannequins in his bedroom wearing WWII uniforms. How extra super duper creepy is that?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Big deal about #2.

I'm on the Mel Gibson train for #1 because he's such a foul douchenozzle.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Again, I think we're back in the land of far-fetched and slanted-to-pander BI's. Enty didn't write these, but he has control over what gets posted on the blog. Why this nonsense?

    ReplyDelete
  19. 1) Gibson
    2) as long as it's humanely raised and killed, no big deal

    ReplyDelete
  20. Many of the most violent killers in history have been collectors of Nazi memorabilia. Just sayin'. I'm thinking this person needs to be outed.

PETA emphasizes vegetarianism, killing and eating a pig, regardless of how humanely it was killed, would be no-no.

  21. crila 16 - laughed out loud !

    ReplyDelete
  22. I hope #1 is made up.

Doubt that #2 is Woody Harrelson - he is an avowed vegan/raw foods guy, so I can't really see him slaughtering a pig.

Oh, snap. It does say it does say "for guests."

    ReplyDelete
  23. I didn't realize there were such films in existence of the prisoners in the camps -- is that true? I also thought any results of experiments conducted were basically banned or destroyed. Though I'm not sure why I thought either. But, I mean, with the mass media era and information age that came later, doesn't it seem like the general public (1) would have by now seen bits of any such things and (2) know pretty widely that generally they existed???

    ReplyDelete
  24. 2) highly doubt it's Woody. He's vegan, and has been for a very long time. Even had them make him special vegan twinkles to eat in Zombieland

    2. Not sure, now that anita_mark said that Woody's a vegan. He was my guess.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Woody wouldn't necessarily have to eat the pig, just kill it in a humane way. I can see him doing that. I doubt most PETA people follow everything to the exact letter when it comes to their beliefs.

As for PETA and their ilk, I know enough people who have been harmed by their petty, "do good" ways, without going into the hypocrisy of their supporters.

    ReplyDelete
  39. @Amy - while the idea of these films are digusting, they shouldn't be disposed of - it's too easy to deny the Holocaust ever happened if there isn't any visual evidence of it. I remember reading about Eisenhower dragging the local citizens through the concentration camps so they couldn't deny that they existed. As long as the photographs and films exist, they can't deny it happened, although I've heard there are a few hard core idiots/bigots who say the films are faked. Never forget!

  43. @SaintsFan, apparently it wasn't the Nazi's having sex (although they may have filmed others having it):

"Nazi commander Heinrich Himmler had ordered the creation of camp brothels in 1941. His logic was chilling — male prisoners would work harder if offered the incentive of sex, and if only a few had this privilege it would crush solidarity.

As the horrors of Hitler’s death camps emerged, the brothels swiftly became taboo. The mainly German women who had staffed them were too scarred by the experience to speak of it, whereas the male inmates who used them remained silent in shame."

    #2 Maybe Ricky Gervais?

    ReplyDelete
  45. Wait, so are these tapes of concentration camp prisoners having sex with each other? These kinds of things exist? The fact that they exist is sicker than sick, the fact that someone watches them to get off is ...I can't even think of an applicable word. It does sound like Mel, since there are so few words that I can find for him.

As for #2, if someone is vegan then I can't really imagine them killing a pig since so many go vegan because of their refusal to have an animal suffer, even in a humane way. So I'm not sure about Woody. However, I really don't think this item is at all worthy of snark - it's far more humane than what goes on in meat factories.

I'm a vegetarian but I recognize that there are people who aren't. I'm not saying no one should kill animals for meat, but the torture, parent/baby separation, brutalizing and drugging going on for increased profits needs to be stopped. --Yes, official SS documentary photographers did film a lot of the camps, including the medical experiments.
--Yes, there is some rare official and unofficial SS and Wermacht footage of nude Jewish women just prior to gassing or being executed during Aktions. Horrible stuff.

Does this add up to there existing snuff films made in SS brothels? No! You're being played with a fabricated BI, and what's worse, Mel's virulent anti-Semitism or making up fake Holocaust fairy tales to pump up readership for your blog?

Why would an Enty who is liked/connected enough to pal around with Donal Logue do something this sleazy, and why doesn't it piss you off as much as PETA mistreating animals?

Pig roasts are actually quite common down south as far as I know (I'm from Massachusetts, so actually what do I know! but from what I've heard anyway), and I don't see any issues with this one but I'll still guess. Anyway, when I saw the line "...one of the biggest shows in television history," I thought of Lost and searched to find that Dominic Monaghan has done some stuff for them. Now, I've never seen Lost or Lord of the Rings (just not my style) and I have no idea if he can be considered "almost A list" or not, but I'm throwing the idea out there.

Between 1942 and 1945, Auschwitz and nine other Nazi concentration camps contained brothels (Freudenabteilung "Joy Division"), mainly used to reward cooperative non-Jewish inmates.[1][2] Not only prostitutes were forced to work there. In the documentary film, Memory of the Camps, a project supervised by the British Ministry of Information and the American Office of War Information during the summer of 1945, camera crews filmed women who had been forced into sexual slavery for the use of guards and favored prisoners. The film makers stated that as the women died they were replaced by women from the concentration camp Ravensbrück.[3]

  87. Considering some of the things I've seen (WWIi is one of my history interests), it wouldn't surprise me that this kind of stuff is out there. Just in the past year or so I've seen programs on NatGeo that showed the personal scrapbook of a Nazi camp guard as well as footage of people being gunned down in front of trenches by the Einsatzgruppen. It's reasonable to think that stuff made for personal collections was later discovered / inherited / etc. and sold for personal gain and collector greed rather than being destroyed or being archived for its (albeit sickening) historical value. There are plenty of sick people in the world, it's just that someone in an industry like H'wood has the $ &/or clout to get their hands on it more easily than some.

  92. Hey B, a lot happens in this world we don't know about that shouldn't. Who would have believed American soldiers would film themselves urinating on deceased Afgans. It's entirely possible seedy footage and/or photos of Nazi prisoners made it into the private stash of an officer or 2 which in turn has been discreetly sold to private collectors by their descendents.

I know you think you're right, but it's unfair to insist others believe what can't be proven one way or the other.

  94. Pictures, yes, but the BI says "movies". Film processing in the 40's was highly centralized, and clearly subject to tight censorship in a military dictatorship. A snuff film from the camp brothels would never have made it out of the lab.

There is absolutely no doubting of the Holocaust going on here. What clearly happened is that the latest in a slew of faked and manipulative BI's got exposed, only this one is massively sleazy.

Come on, people, faking up lurid Holocaust BI's? That's disgusting.

  95. B. I know this is ultra sensitive for you but Enty didn't say snuff films, he said sex and nudity....

  96. Thanks astrogirl. I couldn't decipher what B. was really getting at either.

B, your pushy and disrespectful attitude is making me far more suspicious of your motives than Enty's.

    ReplyDelete
  97. The BI doesn't even say they're authentic period films. I can get a copy of Schindler's List at Target for seven bucks: plenty of brothel sex, nudity and executions of Jews out of hand.

The BI is weasel-worded to be decoded as, "Mel Gibson spent a million bucks on Nazi snuff films of Jews." And that's just impossible, thus horribly manipulative of the history of the Holocaust, even it's directed at Mel.

Fine, let's drop it. But I think we can agree that Enty's ghosties need to be a little less mouthy and a lot more careful, yes?

Look, if the real Enty is tied up with a long trial or is laying low for the moment, everybody can understand that. So the BI's are being ghosted, and not particularly well, right now. OK. Just keep it within the bounds of decency.

    ReplyDelete
  98. The Japanese also used women from POW camps for 'brothels' (I call them what they are, places of rape). The second one is prob Woody or someone who lives in Hawaii where wild pigs run the land and everyone shoots them. I have only been a tourist but have seen 4 times pickups careening off the road after wild pigs that have ran across the road. They ruin crops and yards are are a general nusince so humanly killing them and having a feast for your meat eating neighbors makes perfect sense.

  102. Dont think 2 is Woody, he is vegan and has been for a while. Am I the only one thinking George Clooney? He is also a Peta-supporter and his ex posed nude for an add. And he has a potbelly-pig (which makes it kinda sick, but mkay).

I think Mel for 1. But maybe that is too obvious:(

  103. People saying here: the Germans didn't want to have sex with the Jews, they were disgusted by them, really need to look up stories/footage from WW2 (but that has already been stated above a million times:P)

People forget rape mostly even't is about sexual attraction, it is about power, control and humiliation. The Jews were already mistreated in the most horrible ways, why not add rape to the mix? It's not like the guards who did it were gonna get punished, they were actually applauded by eachother/their leaders for humiliating Jews even more.

It's sick, I have seen dozens of documentaries and the craziest stuff happens (mostly not onscreen, but disturbing things are heavily implied). For this reason Nazi's make me sick. If u agree with the things Hitler I am sure you have no empathy/IQ/values/morals whatsoever.

I have been interested in WW2 since I first heard about it in primary school. the question that bothers me the most is how the hell hitler did it.. turning so many people against eachother..People didn't act like people anymore, they were acting and treated like wild animals. And it makes me scared that it is possible to happen again; bad economy, scapegoat, powerfull, charismatic leader. UGH.

  104. DueDiligence, yes, Jax has filled in for Enty on occasion, and when that's happened, she's said she's the one writing for the day. Why on earth would she say she was writing on some days, but not on others? And why the hell am I bothering to even say anything about these stupid conspiracy theories?

  105. Now the responses are just down to plain denial. You can screech all you want, shills, it's obvious from the different writing styles that the blog is being ghosted right now.

I'll let it go because I'm pretty sure that the reaction of the actual Enty, when he read that BI, was something like, "What? You posted what to my blog? Do you know anything about the biz? Do you know what could happen to my practice if I'm linked to Holocaust fakery?!?" No more chumming up with Donal Logue or Joan Jett, that's for sure.

Bluffing on a busted flush when someone has already called your hand is pathetic. There are too many outside media eyes taking an interest in the blog, and who knows who else? Do you really want the ADL to start looking into why some anonymous blog is faking up false claims about the Holocaust?

  106. I like Nic Cage for #1 just because he's famous for finding absolutely batshit crazy ways to burn through money.

  107. I still remember the pig I ate in Hawaii! That was over twenty years ago. It was cooked from the inside out with lava rocks in a spit. I don't know how the pig was killed, but he was whole.

  111. IDK about #2 and PETA can go screw themselves. It's possible to love animals/rescue them (I have 2x) and want to give them a voice, AND to eat meat. Their "either you're fully with us or against us" turns off a lot of people.

Re #1- to all the people who say never forget, you should really check in with the world we live in now. While its not as organized as the concentration camps in WW2, equally horrible things have happened since, in Bosnia, Rwanda, even going on right now in South Sudan and neighboring parts of Africa-- genocide, forced rape, etc. The mass graves outside Rwanda and Sarajevo are just as monstrous and deplorable as what happened during WW2. So my question is, if we must never forget, why do people not seem to understand that is has happened since... so it would seem either 1) we did forget or 2) the not forgetting doesn't apply equally to all people, that some people's lives are worth less than others. Which is disgusting.

I don't care to guess who is the subject of this possibly not real blind. I would care to see more people being tuned into the world around them now rather than being fixating on events of over 50 yrs ago when there are horrible current events that were/are preventable occurring NOW.
