R. Kelly Stopped Paying Taxes

Apparently R. Kelly and Lauryn Hill have at least one thing in common. They don't like paying taxes. A few days after Lauryn's problems came to light, now it turns out that R. Kelly is even worse. He has not paid taxes in seven years and owes the government almost $5M in taxes. I can't believe he has made that much over the last few years where he owes that much. I guess having sex with underage girls and filming it really does not affect the bottom line that much when it comes to selling records. How do you have business managers and accountants and not file taxes for seven years? Wouldn't you notice every year that you didn't sign anything or fill out TurboTax forms online? I bet he paid his subscription to Teen People on time. He didn't realize it was about celebrity teens. He thought it was a list of teens he could call for a good time.

  2. Why do people think they can get away with not paying taxes? Why?

I used to work for a guy who decided one year to use all the money he'd set aside for payroll taxes to take his new wife on a fabulous vacation. I'll never forget the morning he discovered that the IRS had seized all his bank accounts. It would have been even better if my pay check didn't become worthless, but it was still pretty damn great.

Every time I see R. Kelly, I think of Dave Chappelle singing "Pee on You." Chappelle said that at one of his shows, he looked and saw Kelly and instantly knew Kelly had see the skit.

Only thing that makes my life complete,
Is when I turn your face into a toilet seat
    I wanna pee on you

  6. Don't these people have managers? How do they just *not* pay their taxes??? Mind boggling.

  7. Yes, he has managers but they are likely stealing a lot of his money.Kelly never took the time to gain the skills to oversee his finances. He will likely pay the consequences.

I once heard Kelly was basically illiterate. As he doesn't compose his music through traditional means, that may be true. In which case, he would be easy to steal from.

  9. Well, when the government can't get you on other charges, they usually do on unpaid taxes.

I can't stand this pervert...if you're in Chicago, avoid letting your minor daughter/niece/granddaughter/sister/neighbor/cousin go to the Rock & Roll McDonald's without you or a trusted individual; Kellz is known to troll for victims there.

  11. Ok seriously what up people? I mean when will police officers learn that the thing they they call a camera IS recording you? and when will these nimrods understand that the IRS don't mess around and could give a rats ass about how impressed you are with yourself. What all the loopholes you get isn't enough? Bite me and pay your damn taxes!

  12. Wow. It's not like he's been in the business for 5 minutes. You'd think he would have enough sense to find management that would pay the taxes and not steal from him. He's as sad as all of the athletes that piss their money away on hangers on and really bad investments.
