  8. Is this where we're at, 50 years after Title IX? Top women athletes prancing around practically naked? I can't tell you, as I watch this young lady shimmy in HD slo-mo on my 32" monitor, how appalled I am.

Aw, B. Profane has a new crush! :-D

Girl is werking it. If she wins at the Olympics, she's going to become a media darling. Attractive, personality to spare, and good at her sport.

And heavens, does she have a body to die for.

  11. I was waiting to totally laugh at her, but she went and OWNED that race!

It worked for me once she won. She's a cutie.

I saw that she won this heat, but not the final? Not sure if it's true. Either way, she's good at something with substance, which makes A-OK in my book.

  14. Hahaha, like evergrey, I thought she wouldn’t make the cut but she was pretty awesome. It’s one thing to be cute but totally brilliant when cute cuts the mustard, yay!

  15. I watch women's beach volleyball purely for the competition too....

  16. B. Profane - I agree. Women's soccer as well. Serious business.

  17. See, here's one reason why I'm already sitting here in my Olympic rings glasses, finger poised on the remote, counting down the days til my beloved Olympics. (Perhaps a slight exaggeration, but maybe after the kids leave home and I have more time.)

Wonderful, youthful enthusiasm, and a role model for girls who is full of life and gorgeous and strong. The Olympics always remind us of what is good about us as the collective human race.

  25. Don't worry, Andy. B's cool. He's a regular here. But, come to think of it I don't know WHAT he "is".

What are you, B. Profane? Define yourself, sir!

  28. I'm a busted-up old jock with a perverse sense of humor, who squirms with guilt over ogling fit young ladies who are young enough to be my daughter.

But, just as with Jessica Biel's ass, I can't help but look. It's a hardwired guy thing.

  29. My brother's girlfriend's friend is in the Olympics, doing the triple jump. They got to go to the trials to watch her. She jumps over 45 feet. It blows my mind. That's longer than my mom's back yard is wide.

My only coherent thought while watching this were the words "Holy Sweet F**king Jeezis" repeated a few times...with my mouth open and what I would imagine was a dazed look on my face...

  31. You're not wrong Vicki. I've done that dance when confronted with a spider. However it's more a grimace than a smile. Also handy to jump on shoes in case of spiders.

  32. What the***** is her probleme you just don 't do that in a competition =(
