Coolio's Son Pleads Guilty To Robbery

When Coolio's son, Grtis Ivey, is sentenced in September he could be looking at up to 10 years in a Nevada prison. The oldest child of Coolio pleaded guilty to felony robbery in a deal with prosecutors. He will be sentence to a minimum of 3.5 years in jail. He was arrested back in November when he broke into an apartment with a gun, forced the person living there into the bathroom, while Grtis' hooker girlfriend looted the place. Most kids just ask their parents for $50. Of course that could have been tough considering Coolio at one point was in jail with his son.

    Leave the poor kid alone!

You try living with a name picked from a bowl of alphabet soup.

  17. @ Anita, YES! I remember the Big Wheel video. Sadly. I did like his Gansta's Paradise song, though.

  18. And according to Wiki, the kid's name is "Grits". He was doomed from the start.

  19. LMFAO Grits!!? That sounds like the name they give to the burly yet lovably ignorant bodyguard at a junk yard that is really a mob headquarters. Love it.

  20. Grits is worse than Grtis, I think. At least you can manage to make Grtis sound like Curtis, but GRITS?

  24. Coolio was cracking us up on that awful Celebrity Cooking show on Food Network, ALL his hats had holes in them so his trademark Coolio hair could stick out of them. The guy should just stick to wearing colanders.

  32. Well honey with a name like Grits, he definitely wasn't destined for greatness. What the hell else could he do but pull a gun on someone. I'm surprised he didn't go postal with a name like that.
