Anderson Cooper Is Being Cheated On

I think most people are pretty loyal to Anderson Cooper and don't like anything bad to happen to him. Probably not to the extent that half of the women under 15 don't want anything bad to happen to Robert Pattinson, but still, we like our Anderson Cooper. When photos came out yesterday of his boyfriend sucking face with some random guy in a New York park, it was pretty shocking. It was especially so because Anderson and this guy were supposedly going to get married. Maybe they have an open relationship. Maybe they were just checking to see if the chewing gum they were using really did provide lasting freshness. Maybe they wanted to make Michael K's life complete and give him the chance to date Anderson Cooper. Maybe it was a CPR class. Bit of a stretch on that one.

  1. Oh no! Sads for the Silver Fox!

Love the chewing gum line, Enty :-).

  3. That sucks for Anderson. :(

  4. He can do a lot better than Michael Kors. Sad though, if he didn't already know that's a hell of a way to find out.

  5. I hate to see anyone go through this.

  6. Um, trey, MichaelK is not Michael Kors. Check dlisted.com.

  7. Vicki, never read it. But I'm shallow and only care what the guy looks like.

  8. Why would his bf something like that so publically? I don't get it. AC is so classy.

  9. I was so sad to hear this. I love the silver fox. I'm sure he won't have a hard time finding someone new, though. He's nice, smart, classy, and fabulous...

Yes "shocking" when you pretend promiscuity isn't the default behavior for gay males.

    Get it Michael K!

  13. Can somebody explain to me approximately how far away the photographer was when taking the pictures? (pix at d list).

  14. ^^^^^Troll - go find another place to spread the hate....I suggest Fox News.

  15. This makes me sad.

  16. @BigMama - have you read the comments on CNN? My goodness, they are horrible. I truly think they just need to disable the comments section or go hard-core crackdown, and ban people who make constant idiotic statements. Sheesh.

  17. @Frufra - I can't say I am suprised. There are way too many hateful people out there. Makes me sad for the world my children will inherit.

  18. Michael K is really cute, AND hilarious! Anderson could do FAR worse. MK would have him giggling every day for the rest of his life, and that's shit you can't put a price on.

  20. And Frufra--You KNOW Andy loves him some gossip too! He and MK watch all the same shows! This pairing NEEDS to happen!

  21. Speaking as someone who lived in the "gay ghetto" in NYC and had many, many gay male friends in the scene - I'm a bit of a fruit fly - I regret to inform you that your troll is correct. There was a LOT iof screwing around in the gay male community in NYC, even more than among straights. Fidelity was the exception, not the rule.

Anderson and his husband may have an 'arrangement'' .

    ReplyDelete
  22. @libby - me, you, Andy, MK - double date!!

As my kids would say, that would be EPIC.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Anderson & his partner may well have an arrangement but that guy should be more careful not to embarrass Anderson.

I did not know Michael K was cute (good to know!) but damn he is hilarious.

    ReplyDelete
  24. @BigMama - you can't look at it like that! You have to think that we're going to turn out some awesome kids who will straighten this mess out! The world needs our gene pool to be in charge of cleaning up it's act. I think my kids are up for it, and I'd bet yours are, too.

  25. This sucks. Gay guys are occasionally beguiled by the stupid polyamory crap that damaged people are always selling. Eventually, you learn to love yourself enough to know that you deserve someone who loves you and who wants you. Learn, Silver Fox, learn from this!

    ReplyDelete
  26. ^^^^^ What Barton said!

Maybe they did have an open relationship. But damn, in the bushes in Central Park? Didn't they learn anything from KStew? The camera looks like it was about 3 ft away as well.

I'm feeling bad for Anderson today. I love that man!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Love Anderson and feel bad for his embarrassment. Yes, he and Michael K could have a whale of time together, dissing Real Housewives.

    ReplyDelete
  28. love the shoutout to michael k, haha.

one of my best friends in nyc, who is gay, has been with his partner for 8 yrs but they have a sort of joint open relationship - they can do things with other people as long as they tell each other or do it together. i know some gay couples that do that sort of thing, and others who absolutely don't and are monogamous - it just depends and i certainly wouldn't stereotype.

  29. Jay, I liked you better when you were spouting off ignorant facts and opinions in the Penn/Sandusky threads.

I think the default behavior is having some type of emotional or physical relationship, exclusive or not, with someone of the same sex.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Poor Silver Fox!! Love the idea of him & MichaelK :)

    ReplyDelete
  31. @jay - its not the default. Don't be a dick.

    Hey goof ball:
    I'm not a "troll"

Though it is hysterical to watch people pretend facts make someone a "troll"

What you people should be saying is you really don't like hearing any ideas you disagree with. So you are left with shouting "troll" so you get to pretend these things aren't true.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Oh Jay, you have such a way with words. I bet you make the ladies swoon.

    Fixed.

  37. The point about promiscuity among men---ALL men have a sex drive that enables them to have meaningless sex more easily. Get two together and you get all the fun without pretense or guilt.

AND--This is a big one....In my Bible Belt area, gay men USED to seem promiscuous because two men settling down would run the risk of being TERRORIZED or even killed by the 'sin-patrol'. I have noticed a sea change in my gay friends here since marriage equality has become a reality in other states. It's like they feel the weight of society coming off their backs, and no longer have to resort to a life of secret hook-ups. JME

  38. I have had quite a few gay friends in my life time, still do. Those in committed relationships were mostly faithful (probably more so than my het friends) and those who weren't in committed relationships had more partners than married NBA players on the road. Not ALL men, gay or straight, are complete horndogs.

    ReplyDelete
  39. @Jay,

Nutty_Flavor was agreeing with you . Doesn't anybody read anymore?

    ReplyDelete
  40. I have multiple gay friends (and I love the term fruit fly!) About half are in open relationships, the other half are monogamous. None of them date other people. Its strictly for sex. They would not be in the park kissing someone else.

The comments on CNN are hysterical until you realize people actually feel this way. It doesnt matter the subject matter of the news article either. It could be about a cat that just had 17 kittens. Within a few comments someone will say "with Obamacare, she can have all the kittens she wants and youll pay for it"

    ReplyDelete
  41. I meet a lot of gay men through work that I do and have to say that the majority that I meet have more poly type relationships, where they have a boyfriend that they love and are committed to, but they are allowed to play as long as they discuss who/what they are doing and they use protection. There are quite a few that are in monogamous relationships, they just seem to be outnumbered by the others. I, personally, see no problem with this, so long as they are being mindful of their partner's needs and health. Perhaps Anderson and his partner are in a similar relationship...

    ReplyDelete
  42. Can anybody figure out how far away the camera was to take those pix ? I am very curious. Dlist has them.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Agent**It,

I know that the poster was agreeing with me. I was taking exception to his/her use of "troll"

I really do wonder if the people taking exception to what I said know any gay males.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I'll say it again because it got lost. Lots of my gay friends are in open relationships but they dont date other people, ie, kiss them in the park. They have hook ups.

    ReplyDelete
  45. And yes, it is fair to point out that men in general have no problem with promiscuity.

Though in CDC survey's, gay males report higher numbers of sexual partners than the public at large and of course MSM makes up the majority of new HIV cases(In 2009, MSM accounted for 61% of all new HIV infections).

Dan Savage while a gay marriage supporter, argues that "marriage" should not include monogamy.

  46. I was hoping this would work out for him. He seems like a decent guy to me--and he likes his personal privacy so this being splashed in the news has to be painful on top of what the partner is doing in the pictures.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Aww, for some reason I feel bad for micael k!

    ReplyDelete
  48. There are most certainly dozens of good-looking, accomplished men that would love a chance to date, let alone live with, and be faithful to, Anderson Cooper.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Oh Enty you are right, we ALL love us some AC, so I feel so bad for him. Again, he has taken great pains to keep his private life private and to have this so public. I won't go read CNN and I hope my Silver Fox does not either. Yes an MK and Foxy couple would be amazing too! That is something MK and I agree on, our boo and his giggle! Wishing you well AC! Hugs.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Eh, I'll buy that gay men tend to be more promiscuous. Hey, George Michael wrote a whole song about how much happier he was in a relationship once he didn't have to pretend to be faithful. I think that men in general tend to be more promiscuous than women, and when you take women out of the sexual equation, the desire for and expectation of fidelity in a relationship probably goes down considerably.
It's possible that Anderson isn't faithful himself, and doesn't care whether or not his partner is. It's possible he saw these pics and was devastated. I don't know, but to me the "shocking" aspect is that the partner of the most famous recently out man on the planet wasn't a little more circumspect, if only to avoid all the sordid speculating we're doing about his sex life right here.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Andy Cohen is on line 2

  52. I hope AC makes NO comment about this. Still waiting to find out how close that camera had to be to get those pix.

  53. @Agent. ITA. That camera must have been in their armpits. Was this an acting job or commercial? How could they have not seen the cameras???

  57. His loss! Michael K's gain!!

    ReplyDelete
  58. I guess it's the appearance of monogamy which is possibly being flouted by Anderson's [U-gly] partner, which is unfortunate if they had a prior agreement not to flout in public.

Anderson can do a lot better and he SHOULD start with Mikey from dlisted, who would be his devoted slave.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I feel sorry for Anderson that this came out publicly. Does anyone know if he is aware of Michael K's deep and abiding love and horniness for him? MK would keep him happy!

    ReplyDelete
  60. I have such a cousin for you, AC. Smart, funny, retired at 40 and has his own money. But, he is not a gym guy and he is very much into monogamy.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Well said @All about Eve!

Wow! I didn't know being gay means being promiscuous! Sweetie this happens whether you're gay, straight or bisexual!

    ReplyDelete
  62. This makes me sad for the Silver Fox. Even if they have an open relationship, I am sure he didn't want to see those pictures.

By the way, Jay, people who troll don't necessarily do so with lies. I suspect being perceived as a troll had less to do with veracity of your post and more to do with the impression you certainly gave of wanting to get people worked up, which was further reinforced when you kept poking the people who responded. That's really what trolling is.

Now notice I didn't actually call you a troll. I just pointed out that your behavior did not exactly ring of innocence. :)

    ReplyDelete
  63. let the guy have his fucking opinion.

christ must you newbies drive EVERYONE away??

Jay, you are not a troll, and you are partly CORRECT.

I know a LOT of gay men and are related to a few, open relationships are rampant in the gay community and seem to work for them, so who gives a fuck? Not everyone wants a cookie cutter life. If it works for them who cares.

    ReplyDelete
  64. My brother in law picked up at our wedding in front of his significant other of 10 years. They had a giggle about it, he made a date for the next week, and on went the festivities.

We can't judge other people's happiness or behavior by our own standards. Live and let live.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Poor Anderson...I love his giggle.

    (Anderson+MichaelK sittin' in a tree...)

    ReplyDelete
  66. I would imagine that trying to rub people's faces in the "hard truth" that gay "males" are "promiscuous" and vectors of disease and perversion *could* cause one to look a tad bit like a troll. For what it's worth. You don't talk that way without wanting to offend, and that's the essence of trolldom.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Awww, I love Anderson. :(

    ReplyDelete
  68. Maybe Tom Cruise purchased super powerful new satellite-grade lens for paparazzi on both coasts and promised a finder's fee for any who could bust open celebrity scandals big enough to keep him out of the tabloids. Poor Rob P and Anderson C, caught up in it, and Liberty, although she seems to be thriving under the attention. Cross necklace was a nice touch.

  69. Where are the comments on CNN? Does anyone have a link? TIA.

  71. A lot of people, including healthcare professionals and free clinics/outreach groups, take issue with data like this:

"Though in CDC survey's, gay males report higher numbers of sexual partners than the public at large and of course MSM makes up the majority of new HIV cases(In 2009, MSM accounted for 61% of all new HIV infections)"

You have to remember that this data is being collected from people engaging in high risk behavior (who are actively seeking treatment/testing)and does not represent the MSM community as a whole. Most of the people that I have met that are MSM may belong to a high risk group (according to the CDC) but engage in primarily low risk behaviors. I see more high risk behaviors from the MSW or WSM people. The CDC also lists African Americans (as a whole) as a high risk group. I believe they are around 40 percent of new cases. This is because most of theur data comes from free and community clinics. The strongest risk factors for HIV come not from groups, but from individual behaviors and poverty, lower educational attainment, inadequate health insurance, and limited access to health care. That is what we should be focusing on, not how promiscuous one group is versus another.
