On September 10th, Katie Couric launches her new daytime talk show. I give it one season. I just don't think people will be all that excited about another daytime talk show. I do think it will last longer than Jeff Probst's show. Even the commercials are boring for that one. Anyway, for the premiere episode, Katie managed to land Jessica Simpson as a guest. I'm sure the entire time she is on the show they will probably talk about Weight Watchers and then a little more about Weight Watchers and then Jessica will probably show off some of her newest fashions and when and where they go on sale. So, basically a one hour Jessica commercial. .

ReplyDeleteThe thing I most disliked about Couric on the CBS Evening News was her insistence on running at least one fluffy, warm, fuzzy, feel-good piece every day no matter how much real news might have been going on. Based on this, it sounds as if her new talk show will be even worse.
I can't stand Katie Couric. I hate daytime television so wouldn't be watching even if I liked her.

ReplyDeleteit still makes me sick they canceled One Life to Live & All My Children to make room for Katie and her dumb show. If CBS couldn't get people to watch her news ABC isn't going to get people to watch her infomercials with brain trusts like Jessica Simpson.

I get so annoyed whenever the commercials for her show come on and she describes how perfect her childhood was and how fantastic her parents are. Good for you Katie but there's no reason to brag. It makes me never wanna watch your face on tv. I think a lot of the viewing audience will think so.

Katie should have teamed up with Ann Curry. That might have been a bit more interesting.
ReplyDeleteyou know people age in general and so many things happen to the body...one of the things happen to be that your lips get thinner. so a big piss off to whomever commented on that. if she had them inflated like lisa rinna you'd be slagging on that. no wonder so few in the public eye chose to age gracefully.

ReplyDeleteI never liked Katie either. Never understood the appeal. Her lips were thin like that over 20 years ago. I hate the big lip trend too but she is the *only* person that would probably benefit from a little plumping.
