Jon Gosselin Can't Pay His Rent

Star has an interview with Jon Gosselin this week and he says that he is so broke that he can't even pay his rent. Jon says that his child support is too high and that he has to choose every month whether to pay for supporting his kids or paying rent. Obviously Kate makes a lot of money, so Jon should not be paying that much until you realize he also has 8 kids. Jon says that if he does not pay that the state has threatened him with jail time. Yeah, if he does not pay for a long time they will put him in jail, but I think he is ok for now. Jon also says that he took the high road when he chose to not do reality television. Umm, they chose to not do it with him. He would love to be doing it if someone would pay him.

  3. He is such a dope. Maybe he can be on Kate's dating show as one of her potential suitors.

  5. HA!!!! Dia - I swear I wasn't copying you!

  6. @dia--Even though I think he has his issues... I will have to comment here...It is my understanding that he didnt want to have 6 more children. They wanted one more after the first two so he suggested they adopt given that they had problems conceiving in the past. It was Kate that insisted on taking the fertility medication that led to 6 more kids. I agree that he needs to support them but I also think he is getting the raw end of the deal.

  7. Pharcyde is correct. Kate knew what she was doing when she tried for "one" more. He was just a young guy with no clue.

He's not a saint but I think he was not looking for fame and 6 kids at once. Kate was looking for it right from the very beginning.

  8. well maybe he needs to hook up with my kid's sugar daddy, as b/c of his connections, he's been far surpassed the 5grand behind, and was never even close to going to jail. AND he missed three contempt hearings and warrants weren't even issued, IN PA> I should also add, that the DA said, (when I brought this up to her) that, "warrants aren't always issued for missed court dates." OK.

  9. I'm tellin' ya, they should just get back together and be miserable together.

Well, not really if they're going to act like asses around the kids.

It would save on rent, though. Have any of these jokers ever heard about downsizing? Unless he is in an efficiency apartment working two or three jobs, I don't feel too sorry for him.

  10. And, I don't like to stir up shit (well, not too much), but hello! He was a married adult man. I don't buy the argument that his mean old wife tricked him into having six kids.

He's 50% of the baby-making equation, and unless he's mentally challenged or something, that's on him. He married the crazy, remember. No one held a gun to his head (to my knowledge).

  12. @dia papaya - thank you for that mental image of Jon with Octomom. Excuse me while I go get the brain bleach.

  13. May each and every person using the Duggars, Goseelins et al as examples as a way to hit it big in reality tv start seeing this and OctoMom as the new "reality" of what actually happens..

  14. @cecilia00, the dugger's made those kids the old fashioned way.....with a bang.

Maybe IFV is really what's not the answer.

    1. Agreed!

Jim Duggar is the man! And they are a true family unit. They have a farm and live a very humble real life. It's actually kind of inspiring and cute. You can see he and mama Duggar love eachother so much. Those babies were made the old fashioned way.

  15. Sorry SusanB - I didn't mean together, just that career path.

Now I need brain bleach too :(

  16. No, we don't want to see Jon on the pole like Octomom. Ewww.

The only thing either one of them could do at this point is reconcile and then let the cameras roll.

  17. And the Duggers live debt free.

I often wonder why the child support a parent has to pay is usually more than what they contribute while still married. Some months I have to spend more on my kids (hell back-to-school shoping and fees), then others. How do the courts determine what should be paid. In some cases I hear, it sounds quite large. I mean, the kids expenses should be comparable post-divorce as they are after. Right?

  18. The big house they bought has a place over the garage. He needs to move there and save money and provide Kate with free childcare when she is off doing her desired dating show. He can even be a wrinkle on the show...Kate's wacky ex who lives on site.

  19. I'm talking about anyone seeing having that many kids as a way to become Rich and famous. The Duggars have their own issues though

  21. I often wonder how single parents do it. We have 2 incomes and that can be spread pretty thin depending on the month. During a recent rough patch there was some serious thought put into how that might work and basically it wouldn't. Thank god that's all blown over!

    ReplyDelete
  22. At one point he had a TON of money, and he blew it. So I don't feel sorry for him AT ALL.

  23. I wonder how much all that Ed Hardy is worth now....

  24. The scandalous aspect is that a 650 CS order is enforced with contempt citations and jail time even if the children are receiving no public assistance. The whole point of government enforcement of child support collections was to recoup PUBLIC FUNDS from deadbeat dads. Now it has become a vehicle for arbitrary confiscation of income and assets for purely private civil matters.

  25. Even though I had someone arrested for non-support, I always wondered how can someone work if they're in jail? Don't some states revoke driver's licenses too? I ended up attaching someone's unemployment checks. Ya, we were living the high life back then.

  26. I wouldn't care if the sleaze-bag ended up out on the street. That's probably where he deserves to be.

  27. No sympathy here. I thought long and hard and PLANNED before having baby number 2. Eight is just damn irresponsible-to them and to the environment.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Do these people not think of this before they pop out these kids? Like Turkish Taffy said...I had to wait 6 years between baby 1 and baby 2 in order to be able to handle it financially. I would LOVED to have had another one in between the 2, but it just wasn't something we wanted to take on financially. How these people can just procreate without any thought to finances just boggles my mind.

  29. It's hard not to have some sympathy for him when you see the lifestyle Kate is living. Yes, he is 50% responsible for the kids, but he's getting hit a lot harder than she is!

    ReplyDelete
  30. I actually do feel a bit sorry for him and here's why: she saud herself when she saw him , she had to hv him, and he should hv run in the other direction. Kate said this! Then she swept him along with the children and whoops, before he knew it, 8 kids!! Now her bitchiness came out, and he cldnt take it and split. Acted like a kid, which he was, blew money, made mistakes. Now no zash, and 8 kids and insane ex wife. And i also dont think he is very bright, judging from things hes said and interviews. Put that all together, trouble. Shouldnt those kids hv enough money put away for them with tlc moola? If he doesnt hv the money, u cant get blood from a stone. I understand he is responsible, but he can be responsible with his time as well. God knows they need a break from crazy ass.

  31. @auntlicky: Stay away from the keyboard. Still LMAO over your earlier typo. Darn those k and l keys for being right next to each other, and both words passing spellcheck.

But thanks for the laughs. I can't even remember who the lucky guy was.

But you know, the next time you threaten to kick ass: proofread.

  32. He has a real job, at least, unlike Kate who keeps dreaming up stints on cruise ships and dating shows. If she is making more than him, shouldn't the CS be adjusted to reflect their salaries? He can't afford rent and she's still getting $200 haircuts?

In the grand scheme of assholes, I still say she's the bigger one.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I agree with Pharcyde. I think he's a chump, but I think he got a raw deal and agree he never would have agreed to the fertility treatment if he'd realised what could happen. He was pretty young and considering how dumb he is now, I can only imagine how uninformed and generally naive he was back then.

I think Kate is pretty much the lowest form of life for the way she emasculated Jon, controls and parades around the kids, exploits the kids for money and so forth. Just for the record, I don't believe Jon is much better. I just believe he's the lesser of the two evils here and it seems pretty raw that Kate is getting an idiotic dating show while he's getting vilified and forced to pay enormous sums of child support.

Of course, he could just GET A JOB.

    ReplyDelete
  34. "Obviously Kate makes a lot of money, so Jon should not be paying that much"
Unfortunately it doesn't matter how much Kate makes, Jon is the parent of those kids and needs to pay a portion of his income to support them.
No body wins when it comes to divorce. The child support men pay isnt enough to support the kids and the father is left without enough to support himself. What was two incomes supporting one household is now trying to support two households.
