National Enquirer Blind Item

WHICH closeted TV chef is carrying on a down-low romance with an openly gay actor/comedian from a popular sketch comedy show? The handsome cook refuses to come out of the closet – he has a gorgeous girlfriend – but his gay secret is about to explode because his new lover is yapping all over town about his celebrity boyfriend!

  1. Little or no interest, as i detest cooking shows.

  2. Curtis Stone - first timer.

  3. Since there is an entire sketch comedy show called, "Big Gay Sketch Show," narrowing down the actor/comedian isn't as easy as it would seem.

  4. I like the Rocco guess.

  5. Rocco was my guess, too. Can't guess the comedian.

  6. My husband watches those shows and then expects gourmet fucking dinners from me! I mean I can cook but really I don't have all day to plan and execute those meals!!! Chefs are so full of themselves!!!

  7. Guy Fieri and Andy Samberg.

  10. Curtis is engaged and has a kid with Lindsay Price. Since this is a NE blind I would expect them to just be obvious and say "fiance" instead of girlfriend.

I think Curtis is out of the running.

  11. FSP I snorted. LOL.

  12. Have heard rumors about Rocco before, so he'd be the obvious guess, but no clue who his current beard is or who his boyfriend might be...

  13. Yes, Guy Fieri is the main chef douche!!!!

  15. Todd Glass isn't on a sketch comedy show and also doesn't seem like the type to "yap all over town" about his personal life.

  16. roman, susan,Right?? Women cook 3 meals , 7 days a week. we do the grunt work, feeding everybody, plus birthdays, holidays and parties. But let a man make an omlette- using 8 pans too- and Oh! He's a genius!! A chef!! Please!! You will get your gold medal when your time in the trenches is served!!

  17. Hmmmm....got my Google on and Rocco has dated Beard Extraordinaire, Tracey Edmonds. Still can't think of the potential boyfriend.

  18. Bobby Deen and ...?

    ReplyDelete
  19. I second the Deen guess.

Would love it to be Flay or Fieri.

  20. @KZoeT - the only thing better than Bobby Dean dating a man would be Bobby Dean dating a black man!

    ReplyDelete
  21. *Deen, not Dean. My spelling sucks today.

  22. The funny think auntliddy, is that I love to cook - but once you start expecting it then it ruins it for me - so that is when i pull out the good ole hot dogs and beans:) Brings 'em right back down to reality!!
    I just cracked myself up!

    2. I'm woth you on that. I love to cook. I even make Mr Lite's plate for him just so that he gets the full effect of how appetizing it looks and tha way he also eats it the way i intended for it to be eaten. However, he doesn't and better not ever start complaining on the days I work double shifts and don't feel like cooking. 7 years in and he is A-ok with his cup o'noodles when.left to his own devices so I am A-ok playin Betty Crocker the other days of the week.

  23. Agree about the cooking for men. I wear myself out making a meal for MrB that takes 3 hours from prep table, he spends 10 minutes eating and when I ask if he likes it, "It's not bad." I finally said if I don't start getting positive feedback he could start cooking. It's improved a little.

    1. That's the worst when you plan and prepare something special and new and all you get it's not bad! I could kill Mr. Eve when he does it to me!

  24. The comedian could be Michael McDonald from MadTV.

The closeted TV chef is either Rocco DiSpirito or Paula Deen's gay son.

  25. add to Bobby Dean "dating a diabetic black man"

    ReplyDelete
  26. oops, used Dean instedad of Deen (lazy me)

  27. Roman and auntliddy! LOL. "let a man make an omlette!"

I was screaming, please let this be Ramsey! But then I got to the end. Could you imagine that situation ?

I have a secret crush on that angry man. I shouldda put him down for that your turn.

    1. Ramsey did a holiday special for BBC that was so gooood! His kids and wife were involved. He was super cute with his kids making chocolate truffles. :)

  28. @auntliddy and Roman - you ladies are cracking me u! Tell it like it is, sisters! I especially love the bit about 8 pans - ain't it the truth!

  29. *Cracking me up*

    ReplyDelete
  30. LOL@ dia! I wonder if Ramsey screams during sex!! That would probably be terrifying! He'd be like "com ere you dirty rag" and you slither over to him.......

  31. Guy Fieri is married, so not him. Plus it says handsome chef. Rocco is a good guess. I will have to google Paula's sons.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Guy Fieri has been married for years and has two sons.

    ReplyDelete
  33. That Deen boy is waaaaaaay gay.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Gay vibes aside, are any of those chefs handsome? One is: Curtis.

    ReplyDelete
  35. No way Flay, he is a known womanizer. As others have said Guy is married w/children, can't mean he's not but given the GF reference, probably not him.
The Deen son is dating the woman on Mike and Molly, who plays the stoned sister. So, the gorgeous GF would fit.
Rocco another good guess, but I've not seen anything regarding a GF with him.
So don't know, but too bad people can't just be with the person they want to be with and not have to engage in all these closet games.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Well...

--It could be someone from MadTV. The way the clue is worded, the uncloseted boyfriend could have left the show or the show might not be on the air anymore.

--The only openly gay former SNL cast are Terry Sweeney and Danitra Vance.

--This could be one of the SNL writers. Many of them have acted and/or work the comedy room circuit. Paula Pell is openly lesbian and, IIRC, one of the guys is out of the clost.

All current and recent guys from SNL are publicly hetero.

  37. Guy doesn't have a "gorgeous girlfriend". He has been married for years with kids. I don't get why people don't like him. I love DDD!

    1. I'm addicted to DDD

      Guy. Ummmm. He's o. d. d.

  38. Always got a vibe from Dean

  39. No clue on the blind but I just wanted to say that mr. disco is a great cook, does it all the time, and creates minimal mess. Plus he loves to give foot rubs. I'm a lucky, lucky girl. I think I'm going to text him right now to tell him that. *swoon*

    ReplyDelete
  40. I meant to add that I don't know crap about tube sauciers, but it's sad that he doesn't have the courage of James Beard.

...And I'm name-checking Beard so's I can throw out this arcane trivia question: what do James Beard and Ashton Kutcher have in common?

    ReplyDelete
  41. What about Scott Thompson from Kids in the Hall as the openly gay sketch comedy cast member and Todd English strikes me as a possible closeted chef

    ReplyDelete
  42. 8 pans indeed. My BF is a good cook, but he makes the kitchen explode. It's less work if I just do it myself. I think dead inside the man brain he knows this too and that's why he does it.

Ramsey!!! He doesn't call people Fat Cow or Donkey's anymore. Do you think FOX made him stop?

This is REALLY embarrassing but that's the only cooking show I watch. Probably why I can't cook anything, but excel at Sailor Talk!

    ReplyDelete
  43. deep inside. I hope he's not dead inside.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Rocco - I remember on The Restaurant"they would have him talking to his "girlfriend" at his home and it came off as being so fake. Nobody believed she was his girlfriend.

Of course, Ramsey would be the funniest answer to this.

  45. ya I get a gay vibe from Deen like I do from a soccer Dad in a Ford Arestar. not happening.

honestly have you people ever met a gay person? lol.

    ReplyDelete
  46. In defense of chefs- most are an extremely hard working bunch that are a jolly good time.

And whilst some tv chefs can be cocky SOB's this isn't the case with all..;) What can I say, my husband is a chef- he works insane hours and is an all around good guy and dad. Plus, he cooks all holiday dinners!

    ReplyDelete
  47. My gaydar pings for some of the soccer dads I see driving minivans, even if they've got wifey in tow. What dad shows up at 8AM on a Saturday wearing pressed jeans? That guy has the cast album of A Chorus Line on his iPod, I'm sure.

Me, I'm the unshaven sloven of a soccer dad on the sidelines yelling, "Put the boot in on her, honey!" And my muddy truck has a chainsaw in the bed.

    1. Mr LIte and I both iron every outfit everyday, creases in the jeans and all unless I am wearing skinny jeans. For some people that is just part of the routine.

  48. Tyler Florance seems a little gay to me...

    ReplyDelete
  49. @ FSP - LOL!

I like Guy Fieri on DD&D but he squicks me out on his cooking show when he wears those big ol' guido rings while touching and preparing food. Unsanitary! UGH!

My guess is Dean's unmarried son. Jamie?

FWIW, my angry chef crush is Bourdain. He's smart with a rapier wit. I'll take him over Ramsay any day.

    1. Me too! I would love to match wits with him!

  50. I love cooking shows, but I hate apirational shows that think I want my life to be like the chefs'.

I want to know about different cooking methods and ways to pair ingredients. I don't care that Ina has a place in the Hamptons (so she must be classy!) or that Paula has a Southern accent (so she must be great at cooking homestyle meals!).

The only host I actively hate is Sandra Lee. I can boil water, thanks honey. Here's your drink. Go sit in the corner.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I thought surely tyler florence was gay too. Apparently he's married with kids! So if he's gay, he's got a full-on beard.

Gordon Ramsay makes me hot and then he makes me hate myself.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I watch a lot of TV cooking and maybe it's on the east coast but Rocco doesn't have a show that I am aware of. I'm on the Deen son bandwagon. He's from the south and they's a bit repressed there. I almost said Tyler Florance but as he's from the bay area it doesn't seem like he'd feel the need to hide. Also wasn't there a blind about him hitting on women some time in the past?

Also I LOOOOOOOVE to cook..But not for a living. My friend tells me every 6 months I should start a catering company.

Mango: Back off baby! Tony is MINE!

    ReplyDelete
  53. I love cooking and the best show ever(EVER!)on Food Network was Good Eats. Alton Brown made that show so awesome, it was like Mr. Wizards World mixed with Julia Child.

As for the blind, I have no idea so I'm going to say Bobby Flay just because I can't stand him.

    ReplyDelete
  54. liteNOTSObrite- Will you come over to my house? I hate ironing.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I think it's Guy Fieri because his rampant homophobia. You know where they can't have any openly gay cooks/restaurant owners on DDD because Guy freaks out, so the producers have to vet the prospectives to see if they're gay? Yeah, he's THAT homophobic. And you know the old saying about homophobes...

And just because he's married don't mean squat. Hello, it's Hollywood there are these things called "beards".

    ReplyDelete
  56. This is Tony's final season of No Reservations.

Rocco most definitely. He has had some work done to his face recently too.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Those microwavable meals with the sauce bowl underneath that you pour over the food when it's done? All microwaved in two minutes, and yet: "It's too much like cooking," "It has BOWLS and everything!" "Who can keep track of all that?"
    smh

    ReplyDelete
  58. I'm going with Rocco, he just seems like an angry, closeted gay man sometimes

    ReplyDelete
  59. I think it's Todd English. He always has gorgeous girlfriends.
