National Enquirer Blind Item
THIS former famous mistress, who helped send her ex-lover to jail for murdering his wife by testifying for the prosecution at his trial, is now turning tricks for money in Thailand! She’s so broke that she’s telling friends she had to turn to the world’s oldest profession just to make ends meet.
Who isn't a hooker in Hollyweird hehehehe...

ReplyDeleteFrey opened a spa in Clovis, CA., got married and bought an expensive house. I'm pretty sure she's divorced now and the spa failed and house got foreclosed.

Speaking of turning tricks in Thailand, I spent the holidays over there once. Instead of hanging out with all the tripping backpackers on New Year's Eve, I decided to have a proper celebration at a nice hotel in Bangkok and I was shocked to find it full of white blond hookers from America. At first I didn't realize they were prostitutes but then I heard them in the women's lounge all discussing their tricks for the night. I couldn't believe it!

ReplyDeleteThe first place my head went was to the von Bulow case, but that was a bit too long ago (1976) and the woman in that case seems to be doing just fine now.

ReplyDeleteNosey - she did get divorced and lost the spa and house. Last I heard she was living with a new guy, but that was a couple years ago. I have a neighbor that is good friends with her.
ReplyDeleteI have my doubts that it could be Amber Frey. Doesn't she have a child? That would make it hard to work in Thailand.
ReplyDeleteAlso, she wrote a book, but she never tried gain celebrity status or be famous off of the case. What she did was pretty brave, she had no idea and came forward as soon as she realized who she had been dating. I guess technically she was a "mistress" but she was acting as one. She thought she was a girlfriend to someone who wasn't married.
Amber Frey. That's so sad. Here she went and did the right thing, and now she's broke.

ReplyDeleteProstitution is only the last resort if you're uncreative and greedy. She could've changed her name, got re-certified and set up a space in her home.
ReplyDeleteWhat the reality of it probably is is that she missed all that money and pimping herself out is quick and easy. She just painted herself in the best light she could so some ppl would see her as the victim.

ReplyDeleteTo all the people wondering why a white woman would move to Thailand to be a prostitute, I wondered the same thing and don't really have an answer. But it is a real phenomenon. I've seen it with my own eyes. Perhaps rich Thai men are willing to pay well for something more exotic?

ReplyDeleteOJ's girlfriend at the time of the murders was Paula something-or-other. I was actually thinking along the lines of Snapdragon - Von Bulow's mistress - Alexandra (can't remember last name) who used to be on "Dark Shadows."

ReplyDeleteOJ was found not guilty. He is in jail now on a charge unrelated to the murders. From the sounds of it, the man is now behind bars due to the murder.
