  1. WTF is up with her back? I have had spine bruises from yoga and modern dance, but nothing like that!

  2. luckylass, it's from cupping. From my very basic understanding, cupping is when suction cups are placed on your back and it pulls out toxins/impurities. Makes muscles feel better, etc.

  3. @Amber, thanks for your input because I was coming on here to ask what that was. I was 100% certain it involved something kinky. How wrong I was this time lol.

  4. I have the Sweater Leona Lewis is wearing! My bf's sister got if for me. I am more a rei and sports wear kind of girl. But for lounging around it's comfy.

Adam Levine is gross gross gross.

    Duchess Kate is beautiful!

  6. Seriously, are crop tops making a comeback, because I counted three in this batch of pics?

  7. Lindsay always has that stupid smirk on her face when she knows she's doing something that people are going to see. I'm starting to really hate that smirk.

  8. surfer - yes they are, for about 2 years now. Most people that aren't taught-bodied barely-legals or starving celebs layer them over a more modest tank top. A brand called Show Me Your Muumuu makes some cute ones :)

  9. @Amber - I assumed cupping was a weird sex position!!!! Thanks!

  10. A Chaldean 'doctor' did that cupping thing on my boss with a glass and a match -- it was the coolest thing I had ever seen.

  11. Cindy, not a chance! I can't get up the nerve to do the ear candling thing because a) I don't want to have my head set on fire, and b) I'm totally freaked out by the idea that it would pull out ear wax the length of a python. Hah.

  12. Go to the Dailymail and look at the all the Lindsay pictures of her sunbathing hahahahha, she looks like shit in all of them, but she thinks she's all glamourous

  13. Maria has got one sick bod. Not fair.

  14. I love Lindsay's white bathing suit.

  15. That Lindsay puc is barf-worthy. And not because of her granny boobs either. She is just grimey looking.

  16. Cupping is great. I think I prefer the suctions to the heated cups.

@Amber, have someone else hold the candles. It's not a one man job.

    Maria Menounos is annoying.

  17. 50 cent is gonna be an ugly old guy. Is he wearing dentures???

  18. Cupping is really good to draw out nasty boils.

  19. too bad Enty didn't post Lindsay's rear view. She has such a sad ass.

I have heard ear candling is dangerous.

I like Kate Middleton. She's just pretty and sweet.

  20. yeah, didn't mythbusters do a thing on ear candling and how non-effective and how dangerous it was?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Ear candling is meant to remove wax. The giant ball of wax that comes out pretty much shows that it's effective. (If any of you want pictures, I'm happy to show you what came out of my ears.)

    Dangerous? Can't say.

  22. Duchess Kate is beautiful. Harry is hot...who knew the little ginger snap would grow up to be so handsome?
Adam Levine and Lindsey Lohan are seven kinds of skank nasty. Can't stand either one of them.
I want to try cupping. It looks interesting and some people swear by it.
I think Mischa looks really good there...better than she has in years.
Lastly, I got nothing re: 50 and MM. I've searched but can't find a single fuck to give. The platypus is unavailable at this time.

I hate it when women wear their thongs with tight dresses - and you can see the lines. Very tacky. Well, yes, it's hot too, but Maria, you should know better.

  24. I had someone use a cup on me last year when my shoulder was really hurting. Left a hell of a bruise but it did help. I know how to do it now and would recommend it to anyone.

  25. I just looked at the Lohan pics on daily mail and jesus h! That brow job worthy of a shout-out from Michael K. And I guess we know why her tanning line failed. She's probably using expired bottles of it she has hoarded in her walk-in shower.

  26. The 411 on Cupping - by DiaP, acupuncturist

I LOVE cupping! I just finished cupping a patient for back and shoulder pain.

This is a adjunctive therapy to the acupuncture treatment to move stagnant qi and blood. In layman's terms, it increases blood and lymph circulation, breaks up muscle adhesions, loosens tight fascia, clears toxins out of the muscles. It can be used for a lot of things like boils, sore muscles, and clearing excess blood from bruising/trauma.

Also two types - suction cup and glass fire cups. The suction has a pump that you attach at the top. The fire cups (which I primarily use) use fire to create the suction by quickly inserting an on-fire cotton ball into the cup before placing on the cup on the skin. Gotta be fast or you lose the suction! I like the glass cups bc I prefer to do something called moving/ sliding cupping. It feels like a deep tissue massage. Heaven!

Cupping is awesome. The marks usually disappear within 3-5 days depending on how stagnate you are. I tell my patients that it's a visual way to show how much pain you were in by how dark the marks are.

  28. @Figgy, I don't know ? It sucked out all the crap from 2 boils on my adult son. He was going to have to get them lanced but I insisted on testing cupping first and it worked very well.

  29. yes Curtis (50) has fake teeth, how soon everyone forgets he was shot like 50 billion times.

I remember Goopy wore a shirt a couple of years ago and you could see all of these marks on her back from cupping. I thought it was an attention-whorey thing to do then, and I do now, too. Seriously, you know you have weird marks on your back for a couple of days, and you intentionally wear a shirt that shows them off? "Hey, everyone, look how cool and alternative I am!" Whatever, skank. Also, her boots are dumb.

What you can't see in that particular LiLo photo is a few HUGE bruises she has on her left thigh. I don't know what she's been up to (and I don't want to know), but she needs to watch herself. As someone who has literally gotten bruised from hugging, you might not want to pose "seductively" in a swimsuit when your leg is all black and blue.

Catherine's credentials read "HRH Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge." Harry's read, "HRH Prince Harry." It's so sad that I know that.

  32. @figgy - I respectfully disagree. Cupping has been used for thousands of years in Asian countries for healing. And it is now used by many physical therapists, chiropractors, and massage therapists for the same thing. Don't judge unless you know the facts.

@texshan - Honestly, you forget the marks are there bc it doesn't hurt. I've done it a million times and get asked or just get weird looks.

  33. See how all those old guys have huge smiles on their faces looking at AnnaLynne. Lol

  34. Get rid of toxins/impurities = Drink water.

Maybe it's me but these ladies are 10 yrs younger than I am, yet look 10 years older.

    Maybe they need more water

  35. Ear candling is el fakearino. Basically, the beeswax melts down the inside of the candle as it burns, and gets colored "ear wax color" by the soot.

Sadly, I only figured that out after wasting my money on the damn crap. My husband and I got skeptical after a bit and burned a candle by itself as a control. Ah well, it was fun for personal myth busting.

I dunno about cupping. Physicians also bled people for thousands of years; that doesn't mean it worked.

  41. dia- people actually PAY to be bruised?
That doesn't sound like any legit therapy to me. No offense.

    ReplyDelete
  42. ABlake - Why don't you try it out first. Then make a decision. The bruising is secondary and doesn't hurt. The goal is to release the muscle layer and increase circulation. I've had patients with chronic back pain that remained after months of physical therapy and massage. Then they see me for cupping and acupuncture. The pain goes away and doesn't return. If it was a fluke, I would say so, but it happens all the time.

So why don't you try it and make your own decision before you make judgements. Or talk to other people who've had it the treatment.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I don't know about cupping as I've never done it but I agree with Texshan, why wear a shirt that would show the bruises? Kinda pretentious...

No comment on Lohan, trashy as always

  44. All these posts and nobody questions why she wore a crop top while she's got those marks on her back? Seems attention-whorish to me...

  46. @figgy - Sorry if I sounded snappy. Not my intention. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Just trying to educate people on something that is kinda weird and may seem scary to most Westerners.

  47. The marks on the divers are actually these sticky muscle tape "things". Same things the runners, the USA decathlon guy, and the beach volleyball team wears. Not sure exactly what they do but it's for their muscles. :)

First time poster, but long time Olympic enthusiast :)

  49. I'm sure cupping does work for many people. Anyone ever heard of the placebo effect?

  50. Anonymous11:40 PM

DontRain, please see my comment from 3:53.

That tape the Chinese divers (and it seems like everyone else at the Olympics) are wearing is called physio tape. Here's how it supposedly works: you stretch the tape over the target area, and it "wraps tightly around the muscles and convolutes the skin." The makers claim that this narrows the blood vessels and increases blood circulation in that area. The pressure exerted by the tape on the muscles is also supposed to numb the sensory cells of the skin, reducing any kind of sensation in that area.

Personally, I think it's total crap. Tape applied to the skin 's surface can't "wrap around" a muscle. If the athletes feel any benefit, I suspect it's psychosomatic.

  51. @dia papaya
    thanks a lot!!
its one of those things I want to try.
im all for alternative stuff as a substitute/compliment for traditional medicine. I absolutely hate when doctors over-prescribe medicines. and a lot of times it doesn't even solve the root of the problem, just the effects (like muscular relaxats for ex.)
Anyway, end rant, thanks for the insight ;)

  52. Cupping is great and painless. They use heat in small glass cups to place it on the back and suctions up the skin and gets rid of toxins. Gwynnie is a huge fan of cupping. Really what it is, is like little round hickey's all over your back.

  53. At least Mischa Barton is trying to keep her life together, even with all her past issues. She looks good and is attempting a legit business. Better than those fame suckers who churn out bad Lifetime movies or have to find rich sugar daddies.

  54. @Mooshki, yes but.. I saw the results of cupping on my son when it drew out all the puss from 2 boils on an inner thigh thus avoiding lancing which is a very painful experience. Don't know about the back thing.
