Today's Blind Items - Some Questions
If this celebrity is really a virgin, then why all the condoms in the nightstand drawer? If this celebrity is waiting until marriage, then why the negotiations with the woman he saw a few times and got pregnant? Quickie marriage and wow she got pregnant on the wedding night or pay her off and make her go away and pretend she never heard his name before. If this celebrity is such a pious person then why did he let one woman he was seeing leave her husband for him? Of course the promises he made about their future also had something to do with it. Oh, and because she thought she would become more famous. Of course once he found out he could have any woman he wanted, he wanted someone who had not been married before, although she did teach him a whole lot.

ReplyDelete@Chris, I do watch sports and football specifically, but I always thought that the virginity thing was implied rather than stated outright. Kind of like how Taylor Swift has never said that she's a virgin but people just assume that she is because she acts so wholesome.

This is weirdly written, though- there's a guy publicly proclaiming his virginity who a) got a woman pregnant that he then either married or paid off? then b) had a woman that left her husband for him? or are those the same woman? IDK, I'd vote for a Jonas Brother but even they seem to have given up the virginity schtick lately.

No Tebow fan here, but I highly doubt this is him - there are way too many ways to get caught these days. Athletes who don't proclaim to be "well-behaved" get embarrassed regularly by cell phone cameras capturing their misconduct. Tebow has put a bullseye on his back by being the proclaimed antithesis to all of that, and still nothing has surfaced. You can't buy off everyone - look at Prince Harry in Vegas. If there were a "money shot" with Tebow, it would have been exposed already.

I'm sorry, but that affair website has offered $1M publicly to anyone who can prove he's lost his virginity. You're telling me he's screwed around, but somehow no one has even attempted to take the million? ReplyDeleteI live in FL and know quite a few people who went to school with Tebow. He got plenty of ass, drank, and oh yeah there are pics. I can't stand him or his mom. I was waiting at the hospital to be checked in for a test and she blows in there late and just walks right up to the counter and tells them she is late but needs to have her procedure done cause she thinks 45 minutes late is acceptable and she shouldn't have to wait for those who actually made it on time.

ReplyDeleteStill calling bull****, KaySea. Tebow was a huge story before leaving FSU. He won the Heisman in 2007, was third runner-up for the award again in 2008 and appeared in two national championship games (2006 and 2008).

Everyone's looking for this to guy to trip up (and profit from it) but an anonymous internet commenter has the real scoop based on living in Denver and a one-time meeting? Not bloody likely.

ReplyDeleteI live in northern Colorado and, believe it or not, there are many pious people who wait until marriage and whose faith is very important to them. I believe Tim Tebow is one of them. I don't get all the hate for him and there are SO many sports and Hollywood journalists who would LOVE to have proof of his alleged hypocrisy that the man can't make a move without someone taking a picture or writing a story. Or taking a million dollar reward for exposing his hypocrisy. I don't think it's him.
ReplyDeleteI think this is definitely Tebow, but it won't matter when something comes out. Dwight Howard ran the same script in the NBA - until he got one of the cheerleaders pregnant. His image hasn't taken much of a hit in spite of said cheerleader even being on a reality show. As long as he performs on the field, and his PR people handle it correctly, he will be just fine.

The hate for tebow stems from the gigantic gap between his on field abilities and the attention he receives. He is the most popular player in the NFL and he is a backup. He is all hype an invention of the media because he is Christian and good looking.

But when you are scheduled to speak to a bunch of underprivileged kids at a church, you don't have your people call and say that you need to be fed and also have an appearance fee that was outrageous for a church in a low income part of town. A lot of people were not happy about the way the situation was handled. Oh and this was in his hometown too.

ReplyDeleteWhat you're forgetting is that for many athletes the biggest source of money is ENDORSEMENTS. And one of the most important assets is media exposure.
Let me break it to you - Tim Tebow? He's not actually a very good quarter back. His fellow NFL players rated him 95th of the top 100 players. He's not actually even a starting quarter back - Mark Sanchez is the starter for the Jets.
Yet, Tim Tebow is 1) extremely good looking and charismatic and 2) 'pious'. So he gets waaaay more media coverage (and therefore endorsments) then guys who rank better than 95th and 2nd string.
Trust me, there's guys in the NFL who roll their eyes when Tebow does his pose - they think he's doing it for press, endorsements, dates with Taylor Swift rather than actual Christianity.
Things I know about Tebow:

Things I don't know about Tebow:
Whether or not he's gay.
Whether or not he's done all the things in this blind.
But since, like someone else pointed out, there are websites that would pay big $$$ to someone who could confirm either of those last two things, and no one has yet cashed in, I'm inclined to go with "no" on both of those.
Sure Tebow claims his virtue is intact because he was using a condom, therefore in his head, it wasn't "real." Get it? Kinda like oral sex isn't really sex.

Anonymous internet commenters claiming special knowledge of something that there is no shortage of entites - media outlets and gold diggers alike - willing to spend bank or sell make a buck - out there desperate to know is as suspicious, and unlikely, as they come. Right up there with "Himmmm"'s inside scoop (and "Robert Downey Jr." identity). The point is, Tebow has been a big name for years, already somewhat wearing out his welcome with the public before ever being drafted by Denver. Quite a few people found his smug mug quite punchable during his college playing days, people who didn't particularly pay rapt attention to college football.
I've spent FAR too long defending Tebow over the last day, which is infuriating given that I can't stand the guy professionally (as an AFC rival) or personally (as a goody two-shoes). However, my dislike of him does not mean that he is a closet case, a male slut, or anything other than he has purported to be. When someone other than an anonymous internet commenter comes out with the goods on him, then I will be convinced he is a hypocrite. Until then, you and "KaySea" are as authentic with your insight into Tebow as "Jesse Jubilee James" was in relation to volunteer firefighting.
