Today's Blind Items - They Keep Taking Her Money
This celebrity has A list name recognition although she is probably just a B- or even a C+ list celebrity. Back in the day she was all over the world and A list through and through. She has gone through a fortune or two because of some bad decisions with the men in her life. Our celebrity grew up thinking the man should be in charge of all the finances in a family. Despite the fact that our celebrity has earned millions of dollars a year for almost the past 20 years she barely has anything to show for it because of her poor decisions. The first man she was with got the celebrity involved in a bunch of bad businesses which cost her half her fortune. The now ex also managed to pocket several million dollars of her money and also got a nice settlement when they split because she had no idea he had taken the money. Somehow she managed to bounce back on her feet and lost most of what she had regained because one of her boyfriends wanted to make a movie. That cost her almost everything again and nothing ever happened to the movie except that her boyfriend personally auditioned all the female leads for the movie and ended up sleeping with lots of them. So, the celebrity was paying for her boyfriend to have sex with strangers. She bounced back with nice settlement agreement of her own after a very short relationship. Combined with a nice boost in income over the past several years you would think she would be on her feet and solid. She thinks she is but her current significant other has her in an investment she thinks is going great because he spends most of his day preparing paperwork that says it is, when in reality he is borrowing more money from other people to try and fix it and using our celebrity as collateral. She has no idea that he has her on the line for most of her remaining money should this go bad and that if it does she will have to go back out and figure out a new way to make back her millions all over again.

She had a secret marriage w Rene Elizondo that didn't come out till their divorce--a very bitter divorce at that. then there was Jermaine Dupri, a shifty eyed character if I've ever seen one. this would explain all the drama that went on last month over Katherine Jackson, too, why Janet's after MJ's money.

ReplyDeleteJ-Lo does fit some of this, but I highly doubt that her current beau, Casper Smart, has any investment ideas going on.
Britney wasn't making millions of dollars until about 13 or 14 years ago, and the conservatorship controls her money now and has done well. If anything she'd be the opposite of this person because she doesn't control any of her money.
Sharon Stone was the first person I thought of, but I don't think her current crop of gentlemen friends are so ambitious to be "making movies."

I think Janet Jackson might be a good guess...I've heard rumors like this about her before and her recent actions regarding Michaels estate seem to suggest she needs money.

ReplyDelete@Amber, something about the magnitude of the person makes to lean to Liza (or someone along those lines) but the men don't fit her history. For instance, Liza's first husband was Peter Allen, who died of AIDS, so I can't imagine calling him her "now-ex."

But one gentle correction - she is Carrie Fisher's mother. Jamie Lee Curtis's parents were Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh.

ReplyDeleteBut seeing references to Cutthroat Island - I just finished Frank Langella's book 'Dropped Names' and, in the Oliver Reed chapter, he writes about working w/ the actor & Harlin on that boondoggle of a movie. Even though it was waaaay over budget, they were paying script doctors $200k *per week* to salvage the dialogue. Harlin had a personal chef on the payroll as well as other extravagances. Langella was astounded at the display of hubris.

One of them was to shoe store owner harry Karl, who lost it gambling, the other was to Richard Hamlett. He got her to buy a Vegas hotel/casino which went bankrupt as did she.
Doris Day lost all her money due to just one man, her husband Martin Melcher, who invested it with his crooked business partner that was also her lawyer. So I doubt it's her.

ReplyDeleteI'm on the J-Lo train...all the details fit and I think the recent years' nice boost was Idol...and you know that boy toy is maneuvering any which way he can...although JLO was the popular guess for a previous blind about some woman who kept making money off her relationships with cash and gifts...I think this is her, not the previous one...her last 2 albums also tanked so that would be some type of loss for her if she had an old-school record deal. Under those deals the artist ends up paying for everything, and on a platinum album could actually end up owing the label money. MV is broke!!!!!

I crack up and the guy in the row in front of us spews his soda. EPIC funnies!

That or "Gigli" plus the second husband wanted extra money after the divorce and kept coming after her via books, talk shows, etc. if you look up blind items exposed on google, and then search "Caesar Anchovy Arse" or "Strippa Rip-Ya" you can see the kind of controlling monster Marc Anthony is/was. I'd say this is 100%. People, never be with someone if you don't know how to be alone. You're setting yourself up for failure.
