Best Google Trick Ever
usually at this time everyday, I try and show you a funny or lighthearted video. Today though, I bring you the ultimate time waster at work. The thing that will make your days fly by. Go to Google. Type in "Bacon number" followed by an actor's name. You now have a never ending game of Six degrees of Kevin Bacon. I say let Google take over the world if they continue to bring us mindless hours of joy like this.

Has anyone ever figured out their own Degrees of Kevin Bacon? I'm 4 degrees.
ReplyDeleteI am three degrees bacon. A neighbor I had growing up sold a bunch of high end tools to Francise Ford Coppala who is Kevin Bacons uncle I believe.

ReplyDeleteI'm two degrees from bacon because I know Andy Milder. I thought they were well separated but they've actually done a movie together. Then I tried Michael Ball, fantastic theatre performer in London, but he's only 3 degrees away. It's hard trying to find someone with a high bacon number.
I saw this on wil wheaton's twitter last night. He was complaining about them being wrong, they gave him a two, but he is in the credits of a Kevin bacon movie so it should have been 1. Funny game!

ReplyDeleteI'm three degrees from Kevin Bacon! I was in high school plays with Matthew Lillard, who Appeared with neve Campbell in Scream 2, who appeared with KB in Wild Thing. So cool!

The system is flawed. It says Tim Robbins was in Network when he wasn't. I can't imagine what other glitches it has (probably to make as many actors as possible a "2").

I could probably come up w/a Bacon number for myself w/several people, but one that came immediately to mind: I met up w/Courtney Love a couple of times in the early '90s, and she really liked the brownies I brought to a Hole show, and she was in Trapped with...Kevin Bacon. (Looks like a Bacon Number of 2 is yet another thing I have in common w/our friend RDJ, some of the others being brown eyes, pre-Revolutionary War ancestors in this country, and a smartassed sense of humor... ;-)
