Blind Item #3
This Academy Award winner/nominee actress is set to be the next beard for this former A list actor who is now a solid B who has been flailing around for awhile without a steady beard. Our actress, who is known for her acting, but not much else, wants a taste of fame she has not had yet. She wants covers of tabloids and a new level of marketability and is willing to be a beard. It is not like she dates a lot anyway.

ReplyDeleteMy first thought was Jessica Chastain, too, but I think I like the Anna Kendrick guess better, since there was that reveal about Chastain's privacy/secretiveness. Those traits don't sound compatible with the actress in this blind.
ReplyDeleteGyllenhaal and Chastain. He needs a beard, she's extremely weird with a shady, bizarre past which needs obscuring/shoring up (she's also older than he is but doesn't want anyone to know). A pairing made in PR heaven.

BCoop was my thought. Wasn't there some sort of issue with Zoe Saldana when they broke up? Maybe he needs to repair that image thing with a new beard. No idea for the girl, though. Could be anybody. Is Christina Hendricks in a relationship? She seems to be everywhere but I don't know anything about her personal life.

ReplyDeleteI'm sure I'm totally wrong but I have a theory about Jessica Chastain's obscure past. Why might she be able to avoid questions about her past? Well a possible clue is that her original last name is Howard and she happens to look a lot like Bryce Dallas Howard. Maybe she could be part of that family but changed her name to make it in Hollywood on her own?

Where does Chastain come from? Honestly, I don't even know who this gal is, or what she's been in, but I've seen pics and I really thought they were the same person (married to that guy from Fringe).

Yeah, I would like one of the regulars who say Jake isn't gay to give an actual piece of evidence - not scientific or verifiable, but SOMETHING. "I once did him in a Burger King bathroom," for instance. "He dated a friend of mine prior to being famous." Whatever. Without ANY context, it's hard for me to buy.

@Silly Girl: Her IMDB profile says she's "One of five children of a fireman father and a vegan-chef mother with a food truck" and she's from Northern California. The more I think about it though and read her quotes it seems that she's just focused on the acting and not wanting to do the whole celebrity publicity thing.
ReplyDelete@Irma - I don't remember where I read it, but part of your theory is actually a common rumor referring to her past. i.e. the fact that she and Bryce look SO alike, her secrecy about her past/personal life - people were saying that Ron Howard may have had an affair with Jessica Chastain's mother? I would love to find the story again because it was actually fascinating!

ReplyDeleteThat Toothy Tile/Jake G connection is wishful thinking at best. If you're in NYC and attend parties/gatherings behind the scenes, you'll have seen him with his girlfriend; it's very possible to be a celeb and not have your every move recorded for public consumption.

Enty wrote Cooper was straight and a woman beater several times (and again recently i think)and Reynolds was straight
@Sherry, Jake G was with Reese, but there are rumors that Reese doesn't like sex that much so it was probably a good situation for her for a while for publicity.
ReplyDeleteI actually have a (completely unsubstantiated) theory about Jessica Chastain's "secret past" (bear with me) - two of the only things known about her background is that she's from Northern California & she attended Julliard on a Scholarship provided by Robin Williams (Who also lives in Northern Cali, right?). Maybe her "connection" is that she's either Robin Williams' illegitimate daughter, or (perhaps even more controversially) former (possibly underage) lover? (after all, doesn't he have a history of diddling nannies & babysitters? Wasn't one of his ex-wives originally his kids' nanny?) pure conjecture, but was something that crossed my mind so thought I'd share...

using a beard doesn't necessarily mean you are gay, just that you have another relationship you want to don't want others to figure out. so...........if jake is in a relationship with someone (say a woman who is married) and he wants to distract from that he would need a beard.
ReplyDeleteI'm on board with Jessica Chastain. The "known for acting and not much else" can refer to the fact that she's such a private person - her age, her parentage, her personal life, etc ... all relatively unknown.
