Nick & Vanessa Lachey Had Their Baby - Named Him Maxwell

Nick and Vanessa Lachey had their baby last night. They didn't actually name their new son Maxwell, but I think it would have been really funny if they announced they had. At least they did not name their kid Banana or Remote Control. They gave him a real name as opposed to a celebrity name that sounds really good when you are sitting around your trailer for 8 hours with nothing to do but get people to tell you how amazing you are and who nod their head when you throw out names like Guntherstein and say it is the best thing ever. Nick and Vanessa named their son Camden John so will probably be called Cam and wear half shirts and play football and hopes for the return of the mullett. He weighed 8 pounds 9 ounces which is huge considering Vanessa only gained about 10 pounds. Bikini by Halloween for her for sure.

  1. Oh please she looked like she gained a proper amount of weight and glad the baby is healthy.
But will she be back in shape while Jessica is still talking crap...YES

  2. Congrats! That's a popular name but I'm glad its 'normal'. My SIL's friend wants to name her son Gulliver. I'm not sure about that one.

  3. Kristen Cavilllarrri and that hotdog neck quarterback jerk of hers named their kid Camden Jack a few weeks ago. How similar.

  4. Still an odd name considering Camden, NJ is the most dangerous city in the US lol

  5. I'm sure he's a cute baby. Happy for them and their new addition.

  6. That's a nice name. Congrats!

  7. Don't expect this kid to be a member of MENSA, so football, half shirts and dreams of mulletts will be a good deal for him.

  8. I bet he's going to be adorable! Happy for them and their new little :)

  9. Camden John sounds like a street person in North London. Cam is fine, but they could use Cameron for that nickname.

  10. According to the latest interwebs update, Levi Johnston named his newest son Breeze Beretta Johnston.

  11. Is everybody having kids this week? Anna Panquin had her twins the other day too. I guess Reese will have hers by Saturday.

  12. @Magness - it was a daughter, not a son. Not sure if that's better or worse.

  13. Aww...loves me some babies! Congrats to all the new parents out there.

Now to snark - Gulliver and Breeze Beretta are going on my list - yowza - those poor poor kids. I just don't get it.

  14. You mean Vanessa gained what looked like 10 lbs if we're to compare her to Jessica, right? Vanessa looked like she gained a normal amount of pregnancy weight.

And, Jessica? Her WW commercial annoys me to no end. No honey, you aren't like the masses- we don't get paid the big $$$ to drop the baby weight.

  15. I like the name Camden.

  16. Only 10 lbs? That just sounds wrong. I am only 5'2" and weigh 110 lbs, I gained 22 lbs for the pregnancy and the doctor thought I should weigh more, I am not sure how tall Vanessa is but seriously I think she is LYING!!!!

  17. @Roman Holiday - Vanessa never said how much she gained, but it was obviously more than 10 pounds. That's just Enty being his usual snarky self ...

  18. Oh Whew--I was gonna SAY!

They look so happy and I wish them all the best.

  19. About the name, not the gained weight...

  20. I welcome baby, and wish parents the very best. They are both very likable.

  21. Enty, I thought they would name it after you?

  22. rejected - If they name that kid Gulliver, I hope he is built like an ox!

On topic, I think this kid is going to be all of the cute and probably have fantastic dimples, because both mom and dad do.

  23. BABIES!!!!!

Love me some babies :) The real reason I don't have babies is bc I would eat them up. Cute little feets. Cute little hands. Giant cheekies. Zerbert belly! OMG! I may be the only person who liked baby Maxwell's bikini. Perfect for Zerberts!!!

And gotta love you Shauniebear. Everyone is usual snark bark and you sweetly say... It's a beautiful baby! Hugs :)

  24. I choked on my coffee at that headline--hahaha, Enty!

I wonder if there really is a competition between Nick and Jessica or if this is just made up by the media, much like the Jen/Angie hatred...

  25. I think John Camden sounds better, but this is not my kid. Congratulations to them.

  26. Impossible she only gained 10 lbs with a 8lb 9oz baby. By the time you're full term, your blood volume has increased %50, you're retaining fluids, you've got amniotic fluid, etc. There's no way.

  27. I figure if David and Victoria could name their child Brooklyn while living in the UK then Nick and Vanessa can name theirs Camden while living in the US.

  28. Maxwell is a fabulous boys name. I thought Jessica would go with Maxinne if it was a girl, because it's a cute name.

Camden is fine. I wouldn't name my child that. But I don't think Cam will be made fun that bad.

  29. Congrats to them. And yeah, I can totally see Chestica being jealous of Vanessa.

  30. Damn-my great-nephew is named John Camden. I know, I am old.

  31. I see a future Disney family cable tv show where Maxwell and Camden's mom and dad were married and the kids meet up as teens....and hilarity ensues.

  32. I literally guffawed reading this:
"...and that hotdog neck quarterback jerk of hers named their kid Camden Jack a few weeks ago."

First: HI-LARIOUS. My hatred of old hotdog neck knows no bounds. And second? What the...? Both boys, born within months of each other with the exact same name... Bet the Lachey's wished they would've googled their kids name before saddling him with the same moniker as a Cutler.

  33. I enjoy seeing a celebrity couple that seem genuinely happy together.

  34. @Wendy...actually I ended up weighing about 5-10 pounds more than I started. I was so violently ill the first 4 or 5 months that I lost about 15 pounds (everything turned out fine) so I was back to my pre baby weight almost immediately. So even though I think enty is just being coy...it can happen.

  35. My mouth gaped open at the headline. I think I started breathing again after I read the deets. Good one Enty!!!

  36. Now Maxwell has to meet Camden and get married to him.

  37. Kristin Cavallari named her son Camden. These bitches just copy eachother.
