Tom Cruise Says It Is Movies That Keep Him Away From Suri - Not Scientology

Next week marks two months since Tom Cruise last saw Suri. He had his lawyer contact Kneepads Magazine to assure them that this has nothing to do with Scientology and that it is all just a busy schedule thing. You know, movies and commitments that just can't be canceled. I agree that he is a busy guy, but when he was filming movies before he never went two months without seeing Suri. Ever. So, you can't start spreading some kind of spin that this is the way it has been in Suri's whole life because it has not been. Yes, Suri is in school, but the school she goes to specifically allows children to be able to leave when they want and not have to follow school vacation schedules because they all have rich parents who travel a lot. If they say it has nothing to do with Scientology, then ask them why every other Scientology family that has a broken marriage can never talk to the people who leave the church, but Tom will be able to? That is what ticks me off the most. I want him to say f**k Scientology, I want to see my kid and walk away from the church and let them reveal all his secrets and be cleansed. Star new. Stand up and man up and admit the philosophy is wrong and already cost two of his kids their mother for much of their life.

  1. I wish John and Kirstie and all of them, would do that.

  2. Why would a high school drop out that is dyslexic from New Jersey ever give up being treated on the same level as Jesus. He values that over being a movie star or his child, he isn't giving up on Suri he is just biding his time until he can turn her against Katie. It will happen one day, just watch.

  3. If he wanted to, he could halt filming (in his contract) or fly in and back via private jet and take a break..but we're not buying their PR spin.

Most of us also figure that the CO$ rules don't apply to him.

Could it be that Suri isn't his bio child? ;)

  4. This is sad. I work with terminally sick little ones, and I wish parents that didn't spend time with their children could sit down and talk to the parents of my patients...it's heartbreakingly eye opening.

  5. The tide is definitely turning against CO$. The Daily Mail basically repeated Kneepads' story word for word, and the reader comments are not buying it.

It's interesting that Matt Damon can get the Coen brothers to story board a movie so he only acts three or four days a week and can see his family the rest of the time. Matt and his wife have never spent more than a week apart.

They're both A-Listers with lots of clout; Tom could certainly swing a deal like Matt's. London to NYC on a private jet is about six hours and not a great hardship.

    It's a question of priorities.

  6. he's divorced ,his ex-wife lives in NY with their daughter who goes to school and he works much actually in Europe.
This guy lives the life of the divorced daddy who has not the custody of the kid and works much.even before the divorce,he was not every time with Suri.
Even some actors like Damon,Walhberg,Bale,Depp or Pitt can't see their kids all time when they work

  7. Johnny Depp stopped production on his movie to be with his child in the hospital.

Louis CK forced FX network to produce his show around his children's schedule so he never has to put his work above his kids.

If Tom wanted to he could move heaven and earth to see her. I just think he has to wait until she is older to mind fuck her to hate Katie.

  8. To add on a non-movie star level, I used to work with someone that flew from NY-LA every two weeks to be with his kids for the weekend for years. He was on a verge of a nervous breakdown with all the travel and work, but ne never missed a flight no matter what.

  9. I'm so sick of Tom Cruise apologists coming on this site.

He has the money and the clout to make whatever schedule he wants in order to see her.

    ReplyDelete
  10. And we all know that he is a big enough star that he could take a year off and still have enough money and clout to keep his big career going. He could retire if he wanted to. He can set whatever schedule he wants. He can have Suri flown to wherever he is at any time and have her on set. He is insulting us if he wants us to think of him as your average working divorced dad.

  11. And please with the 'he works, BS' a friend of mine has a husband that leaves every Monday morning at 4 am to get on a plane and work for the week and come home Friday afternoons only to rinse and repeat weekly.

If a typical exec can do it do NOT suggest Tommy girl cannot make arrangements in 2 flipping months time. You can bet when he does see Suri again it will be some larger than life picfest with the caption, "Tom and Suri, reunited at last!"

  12. @FrenchGirl: Please read my comment directly above yours - posted at the same time. Matt Damon arranges his schedule so he can see his kids almost every week, often several days a week. Don't try to make excuses for Tom Cruise.

He seems to have picked his cult over a 6-y-o girl who is his daughter.

  13. Agreed if he wanted to see his children bad enough he'd find a way. Spielberg is home for dinner every night with his family. He's there to help his children with their homework and put them to bed. If Spielberg can do it Tom can too.

  14. if that were Tom's biological child he would have moved heaven and earth to gain FULL custody of her. Instead he rolled over in what, 3 weeks?

Let's not be naive, this isn't his kid.

  15. The thing to me about this also, is that Tom doesn't NEED to work so much. He produces so much crap, pound for pound, because of what seems to be a desire to stay the biggest star in the world. He never STOPS working....but he doesn't need the money. He could drop movies if he wanted.

Fame is much more important to him than human relationships. That's my opinion.

  16. Tom is fading Suri out of his life - which is not so bad if you really think about it! I think she will be a mama's girl and not a daddy's girl!

  17. and yes I am fully aware his other two are adopted, that he adopted with Nicole together as his children.

my point is that he has no legal claims over Suri.

Did we ever see a birth certificate with him listed as the father?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Heck, we never saw a marriage certificate either. All we saw were pictures of a ceremony for Tom and Katie in Europe. I know that Nicole was able to have a Catholic wedding without an annulment. She said that the Catholic Church doesn't recognize Sci as a religion so the her marriage to Tom doesn't count. Didn't Tom say they would do one in LA later, but I don't remember seeing anything. I'm pretty sure TomKat was just a legal construction held together by a contract and I am sure that custody and visitation was fully negotiated.

  19. when tommygirl looks back on his life and finally gets what hes doing to his partners, his daughter and even his career behind scientology i wonder if he will think its been worth the agony. he is not a typical human anymore... now hes an ot 8 within the church which means he can levitate at will and read minds... yet he cannot pay to keep women around for long. hes yet another victim of david miscaviage. wheres shelly tom?

  20. I'm not a Tom Cruise fan, but we don't know everything that goes on. Talk to me when he hasn't seen his kid in two years.

  21. Tony Ortega wrote that in his marriage to Kidman, Tom WAS virtually out of the church, it just wasn't publicized.

  22. I kinda like that he and his crazy band of crazy minions aren't spending time with Suri. Let her be grounded an have some consistency is her life with her mom in NY. She's only 6. Keep the Co$ loony birds away.

  23. I'm really happy that he's staying away from Suri - best thing that could happen to her. She might not understand that right now, of course but really it's the best thing.

    1. I dunno, I think a 6 y o (particularly one who's basically been treated as an adult since she was able to speak) might understand that daddy has a lot of creepy friends that mommy is scared of. I'm sure she does miss her dad, but kids are resilient, and she's in school now for the first time in her loge, meaning she has an actual peer group, finally. Let's hope that it's a welcome distraction for her.

I think Tom is basically on top of a house of cards. He knows that to denounce $cientology is to have his fraud exposed and risk losing his clout, his minions, his fan base, etc. never gonna happen, and that's a good thing for Suri. He's already done a number on Isabella and Connor :(

Also, I heard that he's looking for a new employee-girlfriend and has his eye on Cameron Diaz. Ha! When they made a movie together he had to constantly stand on a box to make it appear that they're the same height. Can you imagine the ridiculous platforms he'd have to flounce around in?

  24. I agree that two months is a ridiculously long time. But for a guy who claims to be an entertainment attorney you would know full we'll that shooting schedules can't just be changed and contracts can't just be changed on a whim.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Tom Cruise is Tom Cruise-he could have schedules written into his contract before shooting even started. And even if he couldn't go to her, he could arrange for her to come to him.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I wonder is he deliberately avoiding Suri so that in her mind it's Katie's fault that she doesn't see her father as Katie was the one who took her away from him? I think he's nuts enough to do this.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Married OR divorced, Tom would have had time off to see his 'family' written into the contract. Those who suggest it's just not possible now are blinded to the fact that he's NOT SEEING SURI. I'm curious about the marriage and divorce of TomKat now. Was their divorce really finalized that quickly or was there not really a 'marriage' to divorce (like Demi and Ashton rumors). My divorce took almost 6 full months, with NO hangups anywhere, including parenting time, support, division of property, etc. Totally amicable and all completed within a short period after filing. How was theirs done SO quickly?!

Also, Tom's street cred would go WAY up if he took a year or two off to spend with Suri during this time period. But to say he's too busy working and now trying to spin the PR tales, it just doesn't cut it. He's not fooling anyone, except the Tom lovers. They believe all this hype.

  28. I hope he makes a LOT of movies that all take place very far away and film for a very long time--and he leaves that kid to have some kind of normal childhood.

Of course he won't--he'll use her for publicity and will swoop in and design some big showy appearance anytime he has a free day--and will disrupt her life, then he'll drop her again. Just enough to keep her off balance.

  29. it's being reported in NZ that Tom wants to break from the Co$ for the sake of his career and credibility...

    ReplyDelete
  30. If he were to do it, now would be the time, when their credibility is at at all-time low. I don't think he's got the balls, though-he loves fame too much.

  31. Anonymous5:10 PM

I'm with the argument that Suri isn't really Tom's child but instead was a way to prove his masculinity. The contract is up and Tom is ready to fabricate the next chapter of his public persona.

  32. Tom's a 1/2 wit and could seriously not manage his big life & thoughts & the scary world with all it's cbc news & shit. Without Co$ telling him what to do/when to do/who to do (I love that last one), Tom's a 5th grader walking the streets.

Tommy needs the bubble, no way in a bazillion years he's leaving ;)

  33. TommyGirl, start plotting your escape NOW. Cuz the heat is on. Kids Wake up!! Holy Xenu, crazed killer Johnny Lewis was a high profile Scientologist. One Scientology blogger, who says his daughter did much of her early religious training with Lewis, lists him in a category dedicated to the "Celebrities who use Scientology and Dianetics to help them live happy & successful lives" following a speech the troubled star gave crediting the religion. They are trying to erase this from The Internet. Spread the word, Scientology is a Sick Twisted Cult. Narconon is a front to bring in drug addicts to brainwash into devoted members. The scions are trying to remove all mention of Johnny Lewis from their sites - especially their Narconon sites - they just pulled this: http://grab.by/gnOQ.
"One of the highlights of the year's activities was the Narconon participation in the Orange County Substance Abuse Prevention Network event. As part of the anti-drug presentation given by Narconon staff, Johnny Lewis of the new television show "Quintuplets" appeared and told how his mother used the Narconon drug education materials to teach him to avoid drug abuse, thereby helping him succeed in his career."
TommyGirl, tell us again how great Scientology is, because I want to know why Johnny Lewis turned out so successfully as a criminal, violent, cat killing, murderer.
    Where's Shelly?
I am holding you accountable publicity hound. Tell Kneepads your side of this story, why are your minions trying to dissappear the Johnny Lewis success story from The Internet? Guess what, stuff on the Internet never goes away. I know you aren't the sharpest pencil in the box:so news flash, lot of us out here in cyberspace are putting it back up. In your face. You too Fat Actress Kirstie, isn't Narconon so wonderful cuz they cured your drug problems? Except it didn't, you traded one addiction for another, you just can't stop stuffing food down your piehole. Where's Shelly? Johnny Lewis, another Scientology success story.

  34. As bad as Scientology is, at least it's not as bad as the Catholic Church covering up rampant sex abuse and telling Africans that condoms won't prevent AIDS. :(

    1. More people now know about the abuse in the Catholic Church, and they've had longer to abuse and cover up. Thing is, reading about Cadet Org etc the abuse is well hidden, but rife.
