Blind Item #1

This former A list television actress who has not had a hit in years, but still has almost A list name recognition made some news last year when she busted up a marriage and married her now husband. The thing is that our actress had it now happen to her as her husband has found someone else and wants out of his marriage to our actress. The fact that she also has beaten him several times, including a nasty black eye has also made him desperate to leave.

  2. I was thinking maybe Tori too

  3. If it didn't say she busted up a marriage last year, I would say Tori.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Yeah, but Tori didn't make news last year about that. That was years ago. I also call foul on her being former A list. No.
I feel like this should be easy. What tv actress got married last year with some controversy?

  5. Shannen, autocorrect

    ReplyDelete
  6. Love the Shannen guess. She got married in 2011.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Me too. Shannen fits perfectly.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Oh, and I just googled him and this article from the DM has his mom saying she broke up his marriage.

    DING DING DING.

  9. I like the Shannen guess http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2141935/Shannen-Doherty-branded-homewrecker-husbands-mother-law.html

  10. Oops - His MIL not mom

  11. Also could totally see Shannen giving someone a black eye. Guess her online degree is working for her.

  12. Shannon Dougherty according to the DMC

    ReplyDelete
  13. Totally sounds like Shannon, but A list? I guess "former", but really?!

    ReplyDelete
  14. @goes - she really was during 90210! I remember during that time, getting a Cosmo or something like that where it featured all of the girls from the show and how they get their hairstyles. I tried all of them and the only one I could accomplish was Gabrielle Carteris, because she had curly hair and at that time we didn't have flat irons. Hah.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Oh, I also desperately wanted to wear a babydoll dress because the girls did on the show. They had them at Contempo, but I was still too young to fit into their clothes no matter how hard I tried to make it work.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Ha! Contempo! Completely forgot about that store!

    ReplyDelete
  17. @Amber
    yeah, I guess she was.
    ugh. 90s fashion and hair.

  18. @goesincircles I'm going to a 90s party on Saturday!

    ReplyDelete
  19. damn, i really enjoyed Shannon Says

    ReplyDelete
  20. God, I practically lived at Contempo in the early 90s! If they reopen in about 5 years, I'm sure all the 90s fashions will be back in style and this god awful 80s revival will be over.

  21. I was thinking that "Desperate" was a clue but can't think of any "A" list names feom Desperate Housewives that fit.

    ReplyDelete
  22. And I'm on board with the Shannen guess. Everyone knows she won't hesitate to smack a bitch.

  23. It has to be Shannen Doherty. That girl is a monster.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Bikini Stickwoman and Eddie what's his fuck.

  25. I wish babydoll dresses would come back. Those things were damn comfortable, let you eat whatever you wanted and hid the aftereffects. That and chunky heels.

I may not look good, but I'll be damn comfortable.

  26. This is totally Shannen D. I must profess my Shannen love and my secret addiction to a little show called Charmed!

That show was so bad, but damn, loved it and the girls! That hottie Nip / Tuck guy was on it for awhile. That was the best season (if you wanna check it out). It's in endless repeats and I got sucked in one summer. Boob tube!

  27. JadeHenry---You know that an online degree is so easy, you can bust someone's face AND take a sociology class--on YOUR schedule.

  28. @Amber- be my best friend?

  29. I love Shannon's commercial for 1-800-COLLEGE or whatever that university search thing was. She threw herself into that role pretty enormously.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Barton--I totally agree. She is so well-spoken and confident in that ad. It reminded me that she's been in front of a camera since she was WAY tiny, on "Little House..."

She does have charisma, I always find myself drawn into watching the whole commercial actively, whenever it comes on. It's uncanny, because I tune most commercials out so easily.

    ReplyDelete
  31. @dia papaya: Reruns of Charmed definitely bring the phrase "boob tube" to mind! They always talked about "the power of three" on that show, when "the power of six" was far more prevalent!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Ahh Comtempo. I loved that store! Anyone else remember Judy's?

And while I am missing things, I miss Ultima II

    Sad now :(

    ReplyDelete
  33. I do, I do! Judy's was shown in an episode of the Mary Tyler Moore show.

    What about Casual Corner?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Oh man, babydoll dresses with black tights and clunky black shoes. I was just thinking about how much I loved that look the other day. Let's bring it back!

    ReplyDelete
  35. @discoflux i live in brooklyn where the 80s AND the 90s are back already (in a terrible way)

yes to babydoll dresses with sunflowers on them and chokers! haha

    ReplyDelete
  36. ahhhh...once a cheater, always a cheater. This exact same thing happened to my friend. Her husband left her for another woman and married her. Now he's left the 2nd wife for another woman. A leopard doesn't change its spots...not ever.

  37. Ah, the power of the six....

  39. Contempo/Babydoll dresses/Shannen D beating the crap out of people --
    good times!

Thanks for the memories, what a great string of comments!

  40. @coolranchdoritos - I want to eat your name.

  41. LOL Robert and Agent!

    ReplyDelete
  42. @ discoflux - haha they're my biggest vice...

    ReplyDelete
  43. I am on a personal mission to bring back 90's style. Only the good bits though, like plaid skirts and chunky sandals. *sigh* I loved the 90's.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I LOVED baby doll dresses. I loved them so much I didn't even care when the hottest guy in school came up to me and told me I looked like I was pregnant. I was like, "Whatevers. I listen to Nirvana; you listen to John Michael Montgomery. Face!"

    ReplyDelete
  45. Wait....not one mention that she beats her husband and has given him a black eye???

If it was the other way around you would be on here (deservedly) calling the husband all sorts of names!

    ReplyDelete
  46. @Pharcyde, I think Shannen Doherty is crazy. Didn't she get arrested in the 90s for trying to run over a boyfriend with a car? I'm surprised she didn't do time for that.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Pharcyde, I too shuddered at the thought of the husband being hit. So many men are raised to not hit a women, we may have to adjust it to don't hit unless you are defending yourself and get the hell out if a woman ever raises a hand to you.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I love Shannen, she's a total BAMF. Whenever I'm feeling low and unconfident I just think to myself, WWSDD?

    ReplyDelete
  49. 90's fashion IS back. I've been watching the early seasons of 90210 and there are bits and pieces they are wearing that I catch myself liking! Summer dresses with a tee underneath are even a thing again. And hiking boots with summer dresses.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Totally Shannen Doherty. I have no trouble picturing her as a domestic abuser. Her husband didn't leave her for another woman, he was probably just seeking shelter!

    ReplyDelete
  51. @Wednesday - done and done!

Seeing so many with such an affinity for 90s stuff makes me so happy! The only thing I never want to come back is big bangs.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Awww... come on, Amber. You know you are just dying for the day you get to go buy that can of Rave Level 4 Super Extra Heavy Hold!!

  53. You guys know this is my favorite topic: 90's fashions!

2 different colored t-shirts worn together with the sleeves rolled up

The plastic circle used to tie up said t-shirts

Rhinestoned brooches used to nip in the back of the oversized blazer

Jeans with pleather down the front

black leggings with moo print fabric down the front

    Jhodpurs

Jean shorts with floral print ruffles (bonus points if you have the matching floral tank top)

    Slouchy socks

  56. shannon has already been divorced how many times??? i wanted to say 4, but wiki says 2 times (???) i watched some of shannon says, she's alternately charming and shrewish. life with her would be nuts. but her and the current guy were together for a few years, so seems odd.

  57. Barton Fink, you never fail to make me giggle.

Ahh, 90's fashion. I LOVED babydoll dresses, mary janes and chokers. Donna Martin had the best clothes (and by best I mean, most ridiculous...anyone recall her dress that looked like a baseball??)

Remember the store 5-7-9? Is that still a thing?
