Blind Item #3
This C list actor from a very very hit network show went on a trip with several of his guy friends a few weeks ago. The fact that he's a not-so-closeted gay (and his pals are too) apparently flew under the radar of the hypocritical openly gay producer of his show, who likes to keep his male stars closeted and is not happy that photos of the trip are circulating.

ReplyDeleteI find it hard to believe it would be "Glee," considering that Chris Colfer is right up there with NPH in terms of being one of the most prominent gay stars in H'wood.

ReplyDeleteYeah, it's definitely Matthew Morrison, and that is extremely hypocritical of Ryan Murphy, considering he's gay himself and seemingly has no problem with Chris Colfer's out status.
ReplyDeleteI don't watch Glee, but Chris Colfer's character is gay, no? Maybe he's "allowed" to be gay but Matthew Morrison plays a straight man so Ryan Murphy thinks it'll negatively affect his female fans? Either way, what a prick! Happy employees make for a happier workplace...

ReplyDeleteThere are so many openly gay actors on all Ryan Murphy's shows it seems odd that he would want to keep ONE of them in the closet. While I wouldn't be surprised that Matthew Morrison is gay, it just wouldn't make sense for Murphy to want to keep that from getting out.
ReplyDeleteyes to above about Zachary Quinto. He came out in a magazine article - he is openly dating Jonathan Groff (how hot is that?) who he was supposedly seeing on the down-low prior to coming out.

Morrison, definitely. As for Murphy's behavior - please. So, so many gay Hollywood producers are the first to force gay actors to stay in the closet. I suppose it's because they know the extent of the homophobia of the ticket-buying, network-watching great unwashed hordes of "real Americans" (tm Sarah Palin, Jack Donaghy, etc) out there. "Money talks, homophobes spend it, so stay in the damn closet" is their mantra.
ReplyDeleteAlthough hypocritical, Morrison is the only actor mentioned who plays a straight character on a Murphy show. Maybe that's how he justifies it?
ReplyDeleteNot sure if I think it's Glee. Trying to keep his male stars closeted? There are a few male stars on the show who have openly come out as gay.

Not Jim Parsons (Sheldon) - he has to be higher than C list. He's a lead on a top 10 show, has two Emmys and a Golden Globe and is out.

ReplyDeletewhen people swear up and down that someone is straight then that person is usually gay. my best friend is gay i have good knowledge of this esp. since my friend came out to me and i was like "well it's about time!" my cousin is gay too but he hasn't come out yet, i was talking to my aunt once about how similar my cousin is to my friend and she freaked out and goes "he's not gay" i'm like i never said he was you did but after that i knew whenever my cousin chooses to come out my aunt & uncle will be in deep denial which is just so sad. my friend's mom was in denial at first too & even made him go to therapy to "fix him" when he told her he thinks he likes boys it took a long time but she finally learned to accept that he was gay & he wasn't going through a phase or some shit.

ReplyDeleteWho are the other openly gay producers of hit shows on TV right now? I only know of Murphy, and he's got 3 shows - Glee, American Horror Story and New Normal. Andrew R is already out and the other actor is straight, right?
Also, Jim Parsons is out, casually so in an article last year or something like that. It was one of those blip on the radar types of things.

Hmm, I really like the Grimm guess. I had no idea that the Sean Hayes producer was the same one as Jack from Will & Grace. Just looked up David Giuntoli's bio and there isn't a lot about him, but no mention of a significant other. I would say he is C list, my only qualifier is that I don't know if Grimm is considered a "very very hit show" (although it's one of my personal favorites!
ReplyDeleteSean Hayes, that's it! Watch the closing credits of Grimm. For a split second they show the production logo and it's Sean Hayes and his partner in a typical prom photo type pose. It's kind of humorous actually. But you're right, is it a very very hit?

Yeah, I don't think it's Matthew Morrison - remember when the show first started, there were rumors that when Matthew Morrison and Lea Michele were on Broadway together, he cheated on his then-wife with Lea, which had caused tension when they were both cast for the then-new Glee.

ReplyDelete@ Kari Matthew Morrison was engaged to Chrishell Stauss (Amanda on AMC). She said when they broke up that he had cheated on her, but come to think of it she never specified that he cheated with a girl. L She is GORGEOUS, by the way.

I've not slept with him but its well known in the Broadway community that Morrison is straight straight straight. Grossly straight.

Thanks for that @FS - I've been wondering who the heck the guys were in that end credit for Grimm... B/c the faces are blurred out! Didn't know Grimm (which I adore) was produced by Sean Hayes. But for years didn't Hayes do the "I refuse to on firm or deny" bit about his own orientation?
ReplyDeletePersonally, wouldn't change my mind at all about the hotness factor on Grimm. It's not like I'd have a chance (or desire) to sleep with one of them just b/c he is or isn't straight. I just appreciate the view.
Its Matthew Morrison. Look at colton Haynes twitter pics. Hes in the pictures of a trip to mexico with other suspected gay celebrities. And Morrison isn't the only one on that show who's closeted. Darrin cross Kevin mchale chord overstreet and naya rivera
